This essay follows a Media Teacher in her work as a coordinator and an artistic leader for a European project called Legalopoli concerning laws and ethics in a senior level school for 13-16 year-olds in Mora, Sweden. The students write film stories about how their characters have to make choices in ethical dilemma situations. Then the learners create interactive computer games together through practical film work. At the same time we can see how the educator also gets into difficult ethical situations, when she is working with the students. This forces her to self-reflection.

My purpose with this thesis has been to find out how to choreograph a fight sequence in ananimated movie. With the help of professional stuntmen and dancers, I have tried to findmethods and techniques used on stage and in live-action film and apply those to animatedfilms. To successfully identify the techniques used, I conducted a number of interviews andanalyzed literature that deals with the subject of fight choreography. By the analysis of themethods provided by the choreographers and selected parts of the literature, I have compiled anumber of steps I recommend 3D animators should to take in their efforts to create their ownfight choreography..

The aim of this master ´s thesis is to understand why there are difficulties in finding joint methods and standards in the field of image indexing. The main focus for interpreting these issues is on Sara Shatford ´s article Analyzing the Subject of a Picture: A Theoretical Approach. In the article Shatford discusses a theoretical basis for identifying and classifying the subject in a picture. Syftet med mitt arbete är att undersöka och synliggöra hur två lärare försöker bedriva filmundervisning på skolans senare år och på så sätt förverkliga kursplanen i bild. Undersökningen, som är kvalitativ, sker i form av inspelade intervjuer. Mitt resultat, dvs. lärarnas röster och åsikter, presenteras i en leranimerad dokumentärfilm och på så sätt åskådliggör det konstnärliga i min KME-utbildning. Då antalet deltagare i min undersökning är litet jämförs mitt resultat med en rapport från Skolverket.

Strax efter milleniumskiftet har ett flertal svenska filmer gjorts som är influerade av populärgenrer som förhållandevis skiljer sig från vad filmpubliken i Sverige är van vid, däribland science fiction och skräck. Tre svenska filmer gjorda under 00-talet: Storm, Frostbiten och Kenny Begins, har valts ut för att se hur de förhåller sig till äldre och mer välbekanta konventioner i svensk film men också konventioner hos de mer internationellt spridda genrer som analysexemplen tillhör. .

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att få en större kunskap om den musikaliska gestaltningen av karaktärer i film, samt att få en utökad kunskap om filmmusik generellt. Uppsatsen inleds med en kort skildring av filmmusikens historia samt en redogörelse för den tidigare forskning som berör ämnet. Därefter har en funktionell analysmetod, baserad i en kategorisering av filmmusikens olika berättarfunktioner, presenterats. Analysen är grundad i två frågeställningar och dess syfte har varit att ta reda på musikens narrativa funktion i film och de eventuella mönster som kunnat urskiljas i det musikaliska berättandet. Fyra olika scener ur fyra filmer har analyserats, alla med den gemensamma nämnaren att de gestaltar ett eller flera mord.Vidare har analysen sammanfattats.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka på vilket sätt Jesus beskrivs på film. Mer specifikt är syftet att beskriva hur Jesus gudomliga och mänskliga egenskaper gestaltas i fyra olika filmer. Film är ett växande medium och det är också ett medium för att behandla livsåskådning, både explicit och implicit. Det kristologiska grundproblemet kring Jesus natur aktualiseras på film ibland utifrån en teologisk medvetenhet, men ibland också omedvetet. Ever since ABB has begun diecasting their rotors instead of permanent mold casting it,variation in the quality of the cast has arisen. Diecasting is performed in three differentmachines, M1, M2, M3 with 400, 660 respectively 800 tons of die locking pressures.The aim of this thesis is to answer the following questions:What is the ?right? cast quality? How is the right quality achieved?For sizes 160-180 solutions will be proposed that consider eccentricity between thelaminate and the short circuit ring as well as elimination of the thin Al film that appearson the outer periphery of the rotors.Through considering the statistic material the most often diverging rotor type has beenidentified and one of the actual rotors has been sent to a laboratory to be analyzed inorder to establish the current defects. The result of the analysis shows that there areplenty of gas- and oxide-porosity.It has been proved that every time the dies temperature decreased below 120°C thecontent of gas porosity increased. It is due to rapid solidification of metal that flowsthrough the ?cold? laminate.It has confirmed that enhanced porosity in squirrel cage causes high impedance in therotors.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to review Swedens unique law against TV-commercials intended for children under twelve years old. The law has to be abided by TV 4, but not by Kanal 5, so the aim is also to compare TV 4 and Kanal 5 and to see in what different ways commercials are shaped in the two channels. The cultural policy analysis is based on our aim and problem. We have also had the terms semiotic and intermediality in mind together with a model made by the researcher in semiotics Roman Jakobson. The model consists of six different communicative functions.

 The theme of this essay arises from problematic pictures which travel journalism can bring about foreign countries, and in this specific case Mexico. These pictures can be problematic in the way that they can carry colonial elements and form colonial discourses. The main purpose of this study is therefore to investigate the Swedish travel magazines, Vagabond, RES and Allt om resor, and how they portray places and people in the written texts and photographs. This was done with a postcolonial and discourse theoretical framework, whereas empowerment of certain pictures can lead to formation of discourses, myths and stereotypes about places and people in Mexico. The method used to reveal different aspects of the travel reports was semiotic analysis, Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis and critical linguistics.
