In this paper we examine the view of mental illness is in a male dominated organization and what strategies are used to handle mental illness by the organization and the individual. We conduct semi structured qualitative interviews with persons who have in some way been in contact with mental illness within the organisation, we then encode our material from a themed analysis. We analyze the material and illustrate our problem area on the basis of Erving Goffmans theories of interaction and on R.W. Connells theory of hegemonic masculinity. We also show how previous studies of how men seek help for mental illness can help to enlighten our research area.

Previous studies have shown positive results on the use of music as postoperative pain relief. Quantitative studies have examined the effect of music on rated pain and otherparameters such as anxiety, relaxation and blood-pressure. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expectations and experiences of patients and nurses onimplementing music as postoperative pain relief in an orthopedic unitQualitative design and semi-structured interviews were used to examine expectations and experiences. Five patients and five nurses in the unit were interviewed.Four themes developed during the data-analysis. These themes were ?Expectations on music as postoperative pain relief?, ?Experiences of music as postoperative pain relief?,?Effects of music as postoperative pain relief? and ?Continued implementation of musicas postoperative pain relief?.

The purpose of this essay is to examine whether and how labor consultants, job coaches, guidance counselors promote the possibility of self-realization of the clients they encounter in their work. By analyzing, based on the theoretical framework, six semi-structured interviews of people having the chosen professions answer the questions "Do counselors promote client's opportunities for self-realization in their work?" and "If so: how is this practiced?". In the theoretical framework three important concepts are addressed: "identity", "recognition" and "self-realization". These are explained with the help of works by including Emma Engdahl, Anthony Giddens, Axel Honneth and Allison Weir.

Elite sport is becoming more professional, and elite athletes have to be more committed to spend several hours in training to achieve elite level and this means that the time to pursue a university academic career to the side of elite sport is minimized. Still only few elite athletes will be able to make a living of their sport. The objective of this study is to gain a better understanding of the opportunities and difficulties for a student who combines academic study with elite sport. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with eight students studying at the University of Umeå, combining elite sport with academic studies. Results show that there are high demands on elite students to structure and plan for the combination of studies and elite sport.

The aim of this study was to investigate nurse?s experience of working from the philosophy of palliative care in end of life at home. The study had a qualitative design. Semi-structured interviews were performed with nine nurses working in advanced palliative home care. The analysis of the material revealed four categories and two subcategories.

Based on last years events that have taken place, events on the school Lundbergs and the police values of work, has the meaning of having a set of values been questioned. This study aimed to investigate and answer the fundamental values based on the common value basis for the government employees within an organization and how it perceived by employees. The new institutional theory was the framework for this qualitative study conducted with semi-structured interviews. Respondents were employees within the organization. Ethnographic qualitative methodology was the basis for our methodology and we used a thematic model of theme interpretation, communication and knowledge in our analysis.

The aim with our study was to understand former addict´s experience of social networks from the Lewi Pethrus foundation (LP foundation) aftercare. The method we have used is qualitative semi-structured interviews. We have interviewed eight persons, four men and four women. They have all been in contact with the LP foundation and are today drug free. The result of the study has shown that the fellowship, in the different social networks have been very important to maintain a drug free life.

På det svenska kraftverket används ett avvikelse- och ärendehanteringssystem vid namnAvÄrS, som syftar till att man på ett enkelt och strukturerat sätt ska kunna ta tillvara på ochha kontroll över alla ärenden, erfarenheter och avvikelser. Detta för att få igång den så viktigaerfarenhetsåterföringen som syftar till att lära av gamla erfarenheter och på så sätt spararesurser och öka säkerheten. Dock fungerar detta inte i den mån det var tänkt utan AvÄrS harstött på motstånd i organisationen. För att identifiera varför denna situation uppstått utfördesförst en förstudie med syfte att försöka lokalisera problemområden och skapa enkunskapsgrund inför de kommande intervjuerna. Därefter utfördes 18 st.

Aim: The aim of the current study was to investigate nurses? experiences of caring for palliative patients in palliative home care, and to examine the coping strategies they use.Method: The study was empirical descriptive with qualitative approach. The data was collected by nine semi-structured interviews and analyzed by using manifest content analysis.Result: By analysing data three categories: Positive experiences of palliative home care, Stressful experiences of palliative home care and Problem-focused coping strategies, and 15 subcategories, were distinguished.Conclusion: Experiences of palliative home care were both of positive and challenging characters. Stressful situations were managed by problem-focused coping strategies. Nurses are in need of the work situation at home to become more ergonomic and designed to protect the nurse?s physical wellbeing.

The aim of the study was to describe parents' experiences of empty nest. The sample consisted of individuals who had experienced one child moving out of the parental home. Data were collected through qualitative semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by using thematic analysis. The thematic analysis revealed four themes, Concerns about the new time in life, Changing roles, Socializing in the family and Testing the relations. Due to the themes participants' stories reveal anxiety facing the time that will come when children takes the step to leave the nest.

The purpose of this study was to understand school counselors´ and teachers´ perspectives on the prevention of bullying in relation to social capital. The study was based on a qualitative process with semi-structured interviews from three teachers and three school counselors from three different schools. The main question was to find out teachers and school counselors perspectives of bullying in relation to social capital. The analysis was based on a theory that focuses on social capital, where trust and confidence as well as universal and selective interventions are important. Today, bullying is considered a serious and significant problem in school.

This study is about the importance of pictures to children's pleasure in reading. The aim of this study was to investigate pupils ' thoughts about the pictures in picture books. I wanted to find out if the pictures in the books are of importance to children's pleasure in reading and why. Also what types of pictures that create the pleasure in reading and why. Through literature, I see why it is important to read books and how teachers can create encouraging reading among children.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka ifall barn har inflytande över sin miljö och sitt material i verksamheten samt vilket perspektiv pedagogerna utgår från vid planering av miljön. Studien har utgått från följande frågeställningar: Anser barnen att de har inflytande över sin miljö och sitt material på förskolan, och i så fall hur tar detta sig uttryck? Vilket perspektiv ligger till grund för pedagogernas utformning av miljön i verksamheten? För att få svar på mina frågor har jag använt mig av en kvalitativ studie med semi-strukturerade intervjuer med intervjuguide, strukturerade intervjuer med intervjuformulär samt dokumentation i form av bilder. Slutresultatet visar att det finns en vilja och önskan hos barnen att bestämma tillsammans med pedagogerna, att ha inflytande över miljö och material. Den faktorn som främst påverkar barns inflytande är det pedagogiska förhållningssättet hos pedagogerna, deras intentioner kan både vara stödjande och begränsande för barns inflytande..

Friluftsliv är ingen specifik aktivitet, snarare handlar det om upplevelser som olika utemiljöer erbjuder. Dem olika upplevelserna erbjuder en möjlighet för lärande att uppstå, utifrån individens egna villkor. Ett individuellt lärande är precis det gymnasi- esärskolan skall skapa för sina elever, en individanpassad utbildning utifrån indivi- dens egna förutsättningar. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa synen på momen- tet friluftsliv inom idrott och hälsa undervisningen för gymnasiesärskolan. Semi- strukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med tre pedagoger samt gruppintervjuer med en elevgrupp där datamaterialet analyseras via innehållsanalys.

Syfte:Enligt IAS 40 ska noterade bolag fastställa det verkliga värdet för förvaltningsfastigheterna på balansdagen. De allmännyttiga bostadsföretagen är inte noterade. Deras ekonomiska rapporter styrs av delvis andra redovisnings- och värderingsregler än de regler som gäller för de noterade bolagen. Den grundläggande problemställningen är vilka regler som gäller för de allmännyttiga bostadsföretagens redovisning av fastigheters värden samt hur dessa värden redovisas och beskrivs i företagens årsredovisningar.Syftet med uppsatsen är att väcka uppmärksamhet avseende vissa frågor relaterade till värdering av fastigheter i allmännyttiga bostadsföretagMetod:Problemställningen har resulterat i att jag har valt en beskrivande och explorativ ansats där förutsättningarna för generalisering är begränsade. Undersökningens uppläggning har inriktats mot djup i ställer för bredd.
