In 2005 over 48 000 senior citizens fell so badly that the needed medical care and almost 1200 of them died. This makes falls in the elderly one of our biggest public health problems. Research in this area is extensive and although we know what causes a fall and how we in theory should work to prevent their occurrence, this is a problem that is increasing. There seems to be a gap between research and practice, and research into why this gap occurs is very narrow. The purpose of this study was to identify success factors with fall prevention from a staff- perspective.

Forskningsfrågor:Går det att urskilja CSR-engagemang inom DIS och på vilket sätt arbetar DIS med CSR? Hur påverkas DIS arbete av deras intressenters involvering och engagemang beträffande CSR frågor, vilka utmaningar och möjligheter kan identifieras gällande detta?Syfte:Syftet med studien är att kartlägga och utvärdera hur DIS arbetar med CSR.Metod:Denna studie är en fallstudie med kvalitativ ansats som inriktar sig på en viss organisation, i detta fall DIS. För denna studie utfördes sju semi-strukturerade intervjuer i avseendet att samla in data som mätte upp till och passade in i studiens övergripande syfte.Slutsats:Studiens resultat påvisar att DIS inte innehar någon CSR-strategi men att det är möjligt att urskilja ett utspritt engagemang inom företaget. I nuläget går det att benämna CSR-engagemanget ur ett inaktivt/reaktivt tillvägagångssätt. Intressenter är av väsentlig vikt för DIS i nuläget och att vidare involvera och skapa relationer med ur ett CSR-perspektiv..

The purpose of this essay is to explore high school and collage school counselors knowledge and experience of honour related violence and repression. Our study is based on a qualitative method with interviews. The main question in our study is to examine the school counselors education in how to provide support to the exposed adolescents.We have conducted six interviews with school counselors in the southern Sweden. We have used a semi structured interview technique with questionnaires that have been a support to us during the interviews. The results of our study showed that some of our respondents knew that they had limited education and knowledge in honour related violence and also that they wanted more experience about the problemarea.

A common way to stabilize high rise buildings is to use an elevator core built of concrete. Today, we use to build these elevator cores of in-situ concrete. Precast concrete twin wall (double wall) is a semi-finished product that has become more common in recent years. This diploma work studies how the twin wall works out as structural elements in an elevator core. The work also shows some possible ways of designing twin walls and highlights some important parts of the design that will be vital to the stability of the building.    The result shows that it is important to think through where the element joints should be placed.

Det har varit en intensiv vår med mycket energi och arbetsglädje. Jag har gått från att undersöka möjligheten att kombinerar abstrakt form med en figurativ form, till att fokusera på enbart det figurativa. Tyngdpunkten har legat på djurs ansikten och dess små förskjutningar och vinklingar. Detaljerna har spelat stor roll för mig och jag har suttit timtal och arbetat fram pälsstruktur. Det har varit viktigt att låta varje skulptur få sitt utrymme och jag har arbetat tills jag känt mig nöjd med utförandet.Efter mitt beslut om att inte arbeta med abstrakta former har jag med bestämda steg närmat mig mållinjen.Nytt för mig i detta arbete har varit att hänga min keramik på vägg och det har fått mig att fundera mycket kring olika presentationsmöjligheter.

Bakgrund och problem: Historiskt har företagens system för prestationsmätning varitkortsiktiga och finansiella, men genom den skiftande konkurrensen har allt mer kritik riktatsemot dessa system. Som ett svar på denna kortsiktighet har det kommit flera nyamanagementtekniker som belyser företaget utifrån fler perspektiv än det finansiella. Det finnsidag forskning hur det balanserade styrkortet skapar värde (De Geuser et al, 2009). Dennaforskning har framförallt tillkommit under senare år och fanns således inte när många företagimplementerade sitt styrkort. The purpose of this essay is to examine whether and how labor consultants, job coaches, guidance counselors promote the possibility of self-realization of the clients they encounter in their work. By analyzing, based on the theoretical framework, six semi-structured interviews of people having the chosen professions answer the questions "Do counselors promote client's opportunities for self-realization in their work?" and "If so: how is this practiced?". In the theoretical framework three important concepts are addressed: "identity", "recognition" and "self-realization". These are explained with the help of works by including Emma Engdahl, Anthony Giddens, Axel Honneth and Allison Weir.

The purpose of this study was to examine participants' experiences and descriptions of a municipal activation program, and how participants perceive their opportunities for influence on their own needs and requirements. The results are based on statements from six semi-structured, individual interviews conducted by the qualitative method. Empowerment, paternalism and social capital are among the study's theoretical frame of reference. The main results show that more participants are critical of aspects of coercion and involuntary willingness in participation. Motivation for participation seems to mainly be linked to whether the activity is experienced as meaningful, as well as to the attitude of the staff.

In this study, six teachers have been interviewed about their vision and teaching of reading comprehension, both for pupils who has cleared the reading code and those who have not. The aim is to illustrate if teachers in middle school spend time to exercise reading comprehension, or if this is left to the Swedish teachers. Thus only according to the subject Swedish, the students are entitled to be given the opportunity to develop reading strategies.The interviews are semi-structured based on qualitative research. The informants are three teachers of Swedish and three teachers of other subjects. Two different interview guides were used containing three questions.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find out how pupils give expression of a water cycle model and if the model causes any misunderstanding. Two problems constitute the starting point for this investigation. The first question is: how do the pupils explain the water cycle with the help of the jar model (can of glass). The other question is: can the children see any similarities between the can of glass and our earth. Qualitative semi structured interviews with seven pupils in the ages of 8-9 have been used to show the pupils? own thoughts and how they express them.

Denna uppsats är genomförd som en fallstudie och har till syfte att undersöka hur Tele2 arbetar för att behålla kontrollen över den utkontrakterade telemarketingförsäljningen mot privatmarknaden och se hur detta arbete stämmer överrens med rådande teorier inom området. Empirisk data är insamlad från tre semi-strukturerade intervjuer. Den teoretiska referensramen har sin grund i utkontrakteringsteorier samt relevant konsultlitteratur.

The controversial phenomenon of ?seeker-oriented? megachurches are currently transforming the American religious landscape. These churches, some housing up to 30,000 worshippers every week, are targeting religious seekers as their primary objective. Their success in attracting and converting those who usually wouldn?t even think of attending church can in large parts be explained by changes in liturgy, the removal of visible theological discussion and use of shopping mall styled buildings, designed to make the religious seeker feel like home.

The main purpose of this study was to examine how social work can be performed online, by a case study of Korrespondensgymnasiet that pursues distance education. The intention was to determine the possibilities and limits with the online communication between the school counsellor and the pupils. The study was based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with one school counsellor and five pupils and document analysis of three descriptions of the school counsellor?s profession. The theory that has been used in this study is the communication theory: Shannon and Weaver?s Model of Communication and non-verbal communication.

The theoretical review will combine information from different fields to consent with the research problem.Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, one of the companies was active in the production industry the other two were active in the construction industry. Data was mainly collected through semi structured interviews on each of the three companies.Conclusions: The size of the company decided which point of view the company had on purchasing, traditional or modern view. All three companies had a centralized purchasing organization but the construction firms were more decentralized than the production company. The reason was that the construction firms were dependent with more flexibility when every construction project is unique..
