The aim of the following thesis is to examine if the ideology behind the copyright laws of today poses a threat to creativity and the cultural heritage. The organizations Association of American Publishers and Authors Guild are subject to an ideology- analysis which seeks to examine their ideological views on copyright and the possible threat to creativity such a view brings. The conflict between the two organizations and Google Book Search is used as a context where the ideology is being brought to light. Stanford Law School professor, Lawrence Lessigs work is used as theory and an alternative to the examined view on copyright. The result suggests that the organizations see copyright as the only effective incentive to creation and therefore they think stronger intellectual property laws are needed.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka förekomsten av självskadebeteende hos tonåringar, om detta skiljer sig åt mellan könen och om samband kan uppvisas med självkänsla och mindfulness.128 elever i årskurs nio från tre skolor besvarade frågeformulären Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale samt Mindful Attention Awareness Scale.Resultaten visade att 65,9 procent av deltagarna skadat sig själva vid åtminstone ett tillfälle, och 41,4 procent vid flera tillfällen. Det förekommer ingen signifikant skillnad mellan könen. Hos flickorna korrelerar självskadebeteende med låg självkänsla och låg grad av mindfulness. The aim with this study was to examine how social service statement in 3 § social-judgements LVU (Swedish care of young persons act) produce ideas about gender. We have taken an interest in the production of both boys and girls and their mothers and fathers because there are clear differences in the description of these. From a historical perspective, the differences between gender in social assessments occurred despite the fact that discrimination is prohibited by law and despite the fact that social service shall work on the basis of an gender equality perspective. In the analysis and interpretation of the rulings we have been inspired by a critical discourse analysis. 30 social-judgements have been analyzed where of 15 concerns girls and 15 involve boys.

The aim of the study is to investigate how clinicians in psychiatric care for adults consider borderline personality disorder to be manifested in men and women, respectively. Could there be a tendency to over-diagnose women and under-diagnose men? In addition, the purpose of the study is to bring clarity to the reasons for gender differences within borderline personality as perceived by the clinicians. The study is based on an inductive approach, in which interviews have been conducted with twelve clinicians working with borderline personality disorders to gain a deeper understanding of how the clinicians consider the manifestations of gender differences.The clinicians described tendencies for women to deliberate Self-Harm, have mood swings and problems in relations. Denna kvalitativa undersökning gjordes med ett öppet, datorstött intervjuformulär som skickades till socialsekreterare i fyra kommuner i Sverige. Det som undersöktes var socialsekreterarnas attityd till metadonbehandling vid heroinberoende och om dessa attityder skildes åt mellan de olika kommunerna. Genom den hermeneutiska ansatsen, meningstolkning och tillförsel av relevanta teorier tydliggjordes resultatet för läsaren. Då undersökningen är kvalitativ med ett mindre strategiskt urval var det svårt att i stor utsträckning generalisera. Trots de dokumenterat goda forskningsresultaten av metadonbehandlingars effekter och avsaknaden av andra mer effektiva behandlingar har idag mindre än 20 procent av Sveriges aktiva heroinmissbrukare möjlighet att bli beviljad denna form av behandling.

The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of how nursing home staff at dementia care facilities interpret, treat and manages sexual behavior of patients. Four group interviews were made with a total of thirteen participants from three different dementia care facilities. The collected material was processed and thematized in pursuance of the research questions of the study. The results were analysed using three concepts from queer theory; heteronormativity, the heterosexual matrix and power, as well as an article about how nursing home staff constructs actions of patients. The results showed that staff member?s assessments about the patient?s sexual behaviours depended on their posture towards the norm of what is considered to be acceptable.

I Sverige är det svårt att uppskatta antalet personer som skadar sig eftersom det finns få studier gjorda och för att det finns ett stort mörkertal som aldrig uppmärksammas. Att skära sig i huden är förmodligen det vanligaste sättet att skada sig på och orsakerna till självskadebeteendet varierar. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva omvårdnad av patienter med självskadebeteende. Metod: Studien är baserad på 10 vetenskapliga artiklar.

The United Nations is an important organization when it comes to international peace and security. Recent events in international politics, however, have brought about a widespread concern about the abilities of the organization. Powerful states have shosen to act outside of the organization to achieve their goals. They have furthermore a disproportionate influence on the decision-making body, the Security Council.The aim of this essay is to examine wheather UN can function productively as keeper of the international peace and security in the political climate of today, and to find out to what extent the powerful states harm the organization. I use a theoretical article, concerning states relations to international organisations, to analyse the acts of powerful states in UN.

It considers the use of the area, environmentally dangerous activitiesin the past and present, the geology?s part, what harm hydroelectric power damsmay cause if they break and how climate change might affect the area in thefuture. It also takes into consideration activities outside the waterprotection areas which might have a suspected impact on the water quality. Theresults of the study are that pollution from infrastructure such as roads, orwastewater from treatment plants may cause occasional contamination of thedrinking water, foremost due to flooding.

We are in an emerging digital society where we are increasingly dependent on the mastery of IT and digital technologies to better carry out our everyday tasks. They cover everything from keeping in touch with family and friends to pay bills and declare. At the same time there are those who have not learned how to use the new technology and live their lives outside of the digital society. What happens to these people, in a society that is becoming increasingly digitized? Do they take harm by being in digital exclusion? It looks like this are issues that will not become less important as digital technology constantly changes.

Bakgrund: Självskadebeteende är ett samhällsproblem som ökar. Personer med självskadebeteende kan ofta uppleva att de inte bemötts på ett bra sätt av vårdpersonal. Beteendet kan vara svårt att begripa och provocerande för omgivningen. Personer som skadar sig själv gör det i syfte att lindra ångest och smärta. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser i bemötandet av personer med självskadebeteende.

How does the recent wave of preferential trading arrangements affect, the incentives for further trade liberalization of member states, and the possibility of obtaining global free trade? And are there any differences in this aspect between custom unions and other forms of preferential trading arrangements? These questions are well debated and have divided international trade researchers into two camps, one in favour for preferential trading arrangements and the other side against them. I have used well acknowledged researchers in the area of international trade theory to make a literature study of the above mentioned key elements in the debate. When comparing the two sides I have focused mainly on their differences, assumptions and results. I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing to be alarmed by of the wave of regionalism that?s occurring in the world today, but caution should be applied and more research in this area is necessary before any certain conclusions can be drawn.
