Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur inredningsbranschen, genom IKEA som fallföretag, skulle kunna utveckla sin kommunikation för att ta till vara den potential och köpkraft som tros finnas inom rekordgenerationen. Rekordgenerationen är ett segment som har tid och pengar. Inredning är i sin tur produkter, för rekordgenerationen, som konsumeras i syfte att påvisa en identitet som är en del i den moderna och materiella utvecklingen. Vår undersökning visar att IKEA missar ett stort och köpkraftigt segment och en av anledningarna är bristande kommunikation. Genom att använda sig av marknads-kommunikation som vänder sig till rekordgenerationen och matchar deras preferenser kommer företaget att kunna ta tillvara den potential som segmentet besitter..

        This is a report that describes the entire process of design of a measuring station for rolling resistance. The report is structured with elements of Fredy Olsson's method.The report also includes a brief presentation of HGF, the company that will manufacture the machine. Requirements and preferences are set up and used in a weighting of criteria by which product suggestions are based. We came across the discussion about the so-called duty to report (14 kap 1 § SoL) and we found some previous research, showing that preschool teachers are hesitant to report, and that they want real evidence that children are being mistreated, even though the duty to report clearly states that they have to report as soon as they suspect that a child is being mistreated. Our purpose became to study what tendencies and conditions preschool teachers and principals, placed in the municipalities of Hässleholm and Kristianstad, have to fulfil their duty to report according to the social services act, when there is a well founded suspicion that a child is being mistreated.  We split the purpose into the following research questions:   Do local guidelines about how preschool teachers should act when suspecting that a child is being mistreated exist, and are they being followed? To what degree does the staff has knowledge about these guidelines? How do preschool teachers experience the treatment from colleagues, principals and social welfare officers when they´ve done or wanted to do a report? How do preschool teachers experience the reactions of a report from custodians? We did conversational interviews with two principals, one from the municipality of Hässleholm, and one from the municipality of Kristianstad. We also made focusgroup interviews with the staff, three persons each from one of their respective preschools. Our conclusion is that preschool teachers are unwilling to report mistreatment.

The construction business is one of the most accident prone businesses in Sweden. In order to make it safer it?s vital that all employees of a company report all accidents and incidents that occur. This report intends through qualitative interviews, to analyze the knowledge and attitude towards incident reporting among the employees of the Swedish construction contractor JM.The goal of the thesis work is to hopefully contribute to an increase of employees? awareness on those issues.

The NIPF (Non Industrial Private Forest) owners in Sweden have very differentiated goals and needs with their forest. They have different backgrounds and some of them live at their forest estate while other live in an urban environment, and some are economically dependent on their forest estate while others are not. The heterogeneity among these forest owners creates problems for market actors that want to aim marketing messages to catch their interest. This is the problem background to the task that was provided to us as an investigative masters thesis for us. Their request was a plan for ensuring a successful marketing towards different segments of the NIPF owners. We commenced with a literature study based on market information and previously carried out similar investigations. We summarized the most important market information from the literature and created some hypotheses regarding goals and needs of the NIPF owners.

Uppsatsen behandlar metoder för livsstilssegmentering. Uppsatsens syfte är att inventera och klarlägga ett urval av de kommersiella undersökningsinstitutens metoder gällande livsstilssegmentering. Dessa har sedan jämförts för att belysa skillnader metoderna emellan. Syftet var även att uppmärksamma problem som kan uppstå mellan institut, köpare och användare i samband med köp och användning av livsstilsundersökningar. Vi har observerat att två olika grupper av livsstilsundersökningar förekommer.

The aim of this thesis is to study a one company's existing suppliers of roundwood and investigate the differences and attitudes they have about the company offerings.

This report describes the tactics used by the Swedish Air Force rescue services against crashed military aeroplanes and helicopters. The aim of the report is to study and analyze the tactics used by the different Air Force bases, standards, regulations and equipment. The report also discusses the different work environment problems and hazards around military ARFF. Much of the information gathered for the report comes from interviews with personnel working in and with the military rescue services. The overall conclusion is that the basic conditions for a good ARFF tactic are there, but a lot needs to be improved and optimized..

This report aims at giving you as a reader a basic knowledge in measurement techniques used in the road/land construction and witch instrument and methods that is commonly used. It also tries to shed light on the problem with unfinished or incomplete blueprints, which cause additional work performed by the surveyor. This report is written in collaboration with PEAB Umeå whom has given insight in their work.The goal of this report is to examine what kind of work surveyors has to perform on blueprints delivered by a technical consultant. The reader of this report gets a run-through of the different theoretical measurement techniques used today and a short explanation of different measuring instruments used by surveyors in their day to day work. Computer programs used in the field of construction are briefly explained, and some of the most common file extensions used, for example dwg and Land-xml.The report concludes in a questionnaire that was sent out to surveyors employed by PEAB.

Uppsatsen behandlar miljöteknikbranschen och venture capital branschen. Vi undersöker vilka investeringsvariabler venture capital investerare intresserar sig för och hur de prioriteras vid investeringsbeslut. Resultaten används för att undersöka hur väl miljöteknikbolagen på den svenska marknaden motsvarar investeringskriterierna. Undersökningen har genomförts kvantitativt genom att enkäter har riktats till 83 venture capital bolag på den svenska marknaden och till 200 miljöteknikbolag. Frågorna har vi ställt i matchande par till respektive bransch för att tydliggöra skillnader och likheter och utan respondenternas vetskap om syftet att matcha branscherna för att undvika vinklade svar.

The purpose of this thesis was to gain an understanding of how Swedish political parties gain knowledge of their voters. The assumptions taken in the thesis were that political parties are using same methods as businesses do to find interesting segments. To attain insight into the purpose of the thesis, two research questions were formulated: how are Swedish political parties obtaining insights in who their potential voters are? With the second question, an attempt is made to answer how the very same parties are using their knowledge about their voter segments. To find answers to those questions, personal interviews were performed with seven political parties.

The aim of this study is to describe a group of youths in compulsory care at a SiS institution in the south of Sweden. The study focuses on intelligence (measured with WISC-III) and self-report, i. e. what the youths think of themselves (measured with Jag tycker jag är). Attempts were made to see if background factors (based on information from the standardized ADAD-interview) seem to be coherent with intelligence and/or self-report and if so, what those background factors are.

Bakgrund: En långvarig exponering av ultraviolett strålning kan påskynda utvecklingen av pinguecula, pterygium och katarakt. Pinguecula är godartad men kan orsaka okulär irritation. Pterygium kan växa in över kornea och ge upphov till bland annat nedsatt visus. Katarakt står för ungefär 40 % av de 16 miljoner synsvaga i världen, varav 99 % finns i utvecklingsländer.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka prevalensen av UV-relaterade förändringar i ögats främre segment bland glasögonbehövande under en resa med Vision For All till Nicaragua. Faktorer som ålder, kön samt miljö undersöktes för att se om det fanns något samband mellan dessa faktorer och prevalensen av vissa ögonförändringar i ögats främre segment bland de hjälpsökande.Material & metod: Studien genomfördes i april 2011 under en resa till Nicaragua i samarbete med Vision For All.
