Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie med kvantitativa inslag var att ge en bild av elevers välmående på ett ridgymnasium samtidigt som jag ville belysa betydelsen av elevers gemenskap och trivsel. Sammanfattningsvis tyder resultatet av min studie på att elever som går på ett ridgymnasium och dagligen får bedriva studier parallellt med hästar mår bättre psykiskt och känner sig nöjda och tillfreds, samt utvecklas som människor. Samspelet mellan eleverna och deras hästintresse skapar en känsla av att eleverna känner sig nöjda med sig själva..

The purpose of this study has been to analyze the image of Strindberg in today's upper secondary school. How is the author portrayed in the textbooks and teaching aids, and which parts of the authorship does the textbook and teaching aids authors choose to focus on?  This work has been implemented in the form of a textbook and teaching aids survey where eight textbooks for the upper secondary school from 1989 to 2008 has been analyzed with focus on the sections that consider Strindberg and his authorships.What emerges when studying these textbooks and teaching aids is that they give a rather synonymous picture of the man and the author Strindberg. Big focus is aimed on private life and the scandals that the author more or less voluntary became a part of. The majority of the textbooks treats matters as ?the misogynist? and ? the critic of society? and the so called Inferno crisis, and also when one discusses the literary works it is done in the light of the author's own life and accomplishments.When it comes to the author's literary production it is a very limited selection that is presented to the students.

Objective: The aim of the study is to describe pupils' understanding of the mathematical concept of function. How do pupils define the concept of function? What images of the concept of function evoke when they solve tasks, which involve identifying and constructing functions?Theory: A student's thinking about a mathematical concept depends on more than just the formal definition of the concept; therefore Tall and Vinner introduce the term concept image to describe the role cognitive structures play when students learn about concepts. The cognitive structure includes all mental images, associated properties and processes that an individual associates with a given concept. According to Sfard, an individual's understanding of mathematical concepts may have different character: an operational conception, where a concept is conceived as a process and a structural conception, where the given concept is conceived as an object, that is, as a whole.Method: 16 pupils at the Science Program at two different upper secondary schools inSweden answered a questionnaire on the mathematical concept of function.

Sweden is facing a shift in generation where the people born in the 1940s are starting to retire which results in consequences. Before the year of 2013 more than 180 000 companies will have to change owner. A study indicates that the majority of all Swedes in the age of 18-70 can consider becoming company owners.Only ten percent of the companies for sale will reach the company broker and another 15 percent will be mediated by legal experts and accountants. This means that 75 percent of the companies for sale will not be available for the public market. As a potential buyer this is a problem.

The purpose of the thesis is to see how Turkish students understand their bilingualism. I have tried to explain bilingualism as a phenomenon and give an insight in national steering documents on the basis of different concepts used by researchers.The method consists of qualitative interviews with standardized character. Five upper-secondary school students participated and independently discussed the answers.The result from the interviews is the participators view on bilingualism. The answers were varying. I have got the answer of my question through the interviews and researches.

In order to investigate the perceived Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept and to indentify what expectations the key stakeholders have on the Pharmaceutical Industry both secondary and primary data has been used. CSR can be perceived as a corporate reputation enhancing tool, however it can also put pressure on corporations to behave as good corporate citizen responsible for thier stakeholders. All stakeholders´ interests therefore have to be consider in order to immprove corporate reputation..

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka ergonomins och hälsans förutsättningar på en processindustri i Sverige samt att ta fram förslag på förbättringar och ett träningsprogram för personalen på industrin. För att minska risken för belastningsskador är det viktigt att individen arbetar med ergonomiska arbetsställningar. Om arbetsgivaren förser arbetstagaren med så goda förutsättningar som möjligt att tillämpa ergonomiska arbetsställningar samt erbjuda friskvård kan kostnaderna för sjukfrånvaro sänkas betydligt. Metoder som använts är kortare observationer följt av de ergonomiska uträkningarna OWAS och RULA. En interventionsgrupp inom produktionen fick besvara en enkät, som även fylldes i av en kontrollgrupp som bestod av administrationspersonal (kontorspersonal).

Bakgrund Hjärt-kärlsjukdom och diabetes är idag två av världens vanligast förekommande välfärdssjukdomar trots att 80 % av alla insjuknanden skulle kunna förhindras genom livsstilsförändringar. Att förändra livsstil har dock visat sig vara svårt och stöd från flera håll är centralt för att behandlingen ska lyckas. De fysiologiska effekterna av livsstilsfokuserad behandlingar är relativt välstuderade men hur patienterna upplever dessa behandlingar är däremot tämligen oklart. Syfte Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur patienter upplever en livsstilsfokuserad gruppbehandling inriktad på primär och sekundär prevention vid hjärt-kärlsjukdom samt typ 2 diabetes.Metod 19 kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med patienter vid en behandlingsmottagning i norra Sverige. En semistrukturerad frågeguide användes som stöd men fokus låg främst på patienternas egna berättelser kring upplevelserna.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether students? previous musical knowledge affected the rating achieved in the subject of music. My empirical material consists of interviews with three professional music teachers in local secondary schools. Two of the three teachers felt that they were not able to devote time for the students who had previous musical knowledge. Students from all schools said that teachers addressed more to help those students who found it more difficult to learn.

Perifer venkateter är en vanlig medicinsk produkt som handhas av läkare eller sjuksköterskor. Rätt kunskap och tillvägagångssätt hos behandlande vårdpersonal kan minska risken för komplikationer, såsom tromboflebit. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sjuksköterskors kunskap om, och följsamhet gentemot, riktlinjer avseende perifer venkateter. Metod: studien genomfördes med en kvantitativ ansats och 26 sjuksköterskor deltog i en enkätundersökning. Resultatet visade att sjuksköterskorna hade god kunskap avseende prevention för komplikation vid användning av perifer venkateter, val av placering samt dokumentation på förbandet.

This thesis has created an image of the exchange of information among teachers in the Swedish upper secondary school. The study indicates that the exchange of information seems to be limited at all levels and the exchange that takes place outside the own teaching team occurs mainly through teachers personal networks. The study also shows barriers that may exist and the opportunities that an increased exchange may generate. From the picture that the empirical material provides and the theory that is presented a discussion is made around how IT can best support the organizational learning in schools. A concrete proposal is that at national level an IT platform should be created, which primarily focuses on materials that are created by its users and has an open architecture with a single login..

Efter att ha arbetat som barnmorska och vårdlärare i Nepal i början av 2000-talet ficksynen på reproduktiv hälsa ett bredare innehåll. Att fördjupa sig i detta ämne varintressant., då det påverkade kvinnors liv på många områden. Syftet med denna studievar att beskriva faktorer som påverkade den reproduktiva hälsan för kvinnor i Nepal, ettfördjupningsarbete i kursen Reproduktiv & perinatal hälsa, som omfattar enlitteraturstudie av tio artiklar. Dessa har analyserats utifrån Leiningerssoluppgångsmodell, som var till stor hjälp att strukturera materialet i artiklarna.Resultatet visade att utbildning var en mycket central fråga för kvinnors hälsosituationangående graviditet och HIV-smitta. Tillgång till utbildning och vård varierade påtagligtmellan landsbygd och tätort.

This essay discusses how popular literature in general and Stephanie Meyer?s Twilight-series in particular can be useful in the classroom, despite, or rather, thanks to, its inherent problems concerning gender roles, relationships and the power systems within them. The essay takes a reader and teacher centered approach in describing both the problems of Twilight and the ways these problems can be worked with in the context of the school subject Swedish in upper secondary school. It makes an inventory of Twilight?s problematic aspects, and attempts to use them in conjunction with the governing documents of the Swedish school system.

Abstract: In the past ten years in Sweden, the numbers of people between the ages of 16-19 who were unemployed or not in upper secondary school education have increased. This was assumed to be caused by three factors. Firstly the upper secondary school education reforms in 1992, secondly a substantially reduced labour market for young people without the upper secondary school education and thirdly an increase in demand for work experience.Our purposes was to describe the effects on the outsiders through a document analysis study, but also to understand which individual, social and structural causes that were thought to increase the risk of marginality. Our second purposes were to understand how the Kristianstad community worked to prevent young people of ending up as outsiders. Through interviews with local authorities, we tried to find out if the Kristianstad community lives up to their responsibility of looking after people less than twenty years of age.Our conclusion was that, although the Kristianstad community seems to have a good system, the community has the highest number of unemployed in the county of Skåne.

In the beginning of the 1860s, an important railway was built between Malmö and Stockholm. The railway became one of the most important projects that would influence the entire southern Sweden. The railway line was located to areas outside the ordinary routes and a number of communities were built up along its way.Älmhult was one of the communities that was built up due to the railway. In the beginning there were only a few farms and a station, but a community developed and the village grew. In 1901 the village became a small market town, which was an important event.
