Student recruitment is a subject that seems to be forgotten in the theory of event communication. Yet the area has some specific reoccurring features. Our purpose was to examine these specific features and how to work with these in the best way, and also see how to get the most out of the event communication to the young at event and fairs. Special features we have looked at are the student ambassadors ands their impact, the meaning of a give-away and also if there are any essential factors to get in contact with the young at fairs and events, and if new technology had an important role to play in the area.Our research has been inductive, and therefore, we have created our own theory and reflected it to the larger topic of event communication and its theories. Our research method has been triangular, both quantitative and qualitative; interviews with those who work with student recruitment, and surveys to young people in upper secondary school.Our study showed the importance of student ambassadors and their specific task to be nice, friendly and outgoing.

In light of the European Union`s 2012 theme year: Active aging and solidarity between generations I wished to gain an understanding of weather elderly immigrant are provided with equal possibilities and access to local community information as the majority population and their participation in activities arranged for senior citizens in the municipality where they live. I have done this by meeting with those who work in this capacity. I also chose to meet with representatives for immigrant organizations in the local community to enquire of their work with senior citizens within their own ethnic group. This is a qualitative study on a phenomenological ground based on nine interviews and four observations. I have had two theories to help me analyze my empirical material.

Syftet med föreliggande undersökning är dels att undersöka hur företag inom den högteknologiska branschen arbetar med employer branding för att ses som attraktiv för potentiella framtida arbetstagare. Dels syftar även undersökningen till att få kunskap om vad ingenjörsstuderande, inom det för dessa högteknologiska företag intressanta utbildningar, finner attraktivt hos en framtida arbetsgivare. Metoden för undersökningen är därför både kvalitativ genom intervjuer och kvantitativ genom enkäter. Resultaten från undersökningen visar att företagen aktivt arbetar med att synas, differentiera sig från konkurrenterna, ses som relevanta och uppfylla psykologiska kontrakt. De har insett vikten av att arbeta med employer branding för att kunna kompetenssäkra i ett tidigt stadie. De arbetar både internt samt externt för att bygga upp ett starkt employer brand som kommer skapa attraktion hos potentiella framtida arbetstagare.

Bakgrund och problem: Att hållbarhetsrapporternas trovärdighet påverkar intressenternasförtroende är särskilt aktuellt för företag i finansbranschen. För att hjälpa företag att uppnå störretrovärdighet i hållbarhetsredovisningar lägger GRI:s fjärde generation av riktlinjerna en stor viktpå väsentlighet i rapporternas innehåll. Det som antas möjliggöra vassare hållbarhetsrapporterenligt GRI:s G4-version är en stegvis beskrivning av hur väsentlighetsanalys ska göras. GRI:s nyaoch föregående versioner skiljer sig dock inte åt när det gäller vilka faser väsentlighetsanalysenska bestå av. Trots det finns det några svenska finansföretag som redan har försökt uppfylla G4:sstörre krav på väsentlighet eller visar en förståelse för vad övergången från redovisningen enligtGRI:s tredje generation till G4 innebär för finansföretagens hållbarhetsredovisningar.Syfte: Studien syftar till att skapa förståelse för hur GRI:s fjärde generation av riktlinjernapåverkar hållbarhetsredovisningar hos svenska finansföretag.Metod: Den kvalitativa studien genomförs med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer medpersoner som på något sätt är relaterade till hållbarhetsredovisning inom sju olika svenskafinansföretag.

Den här studien undersöker ett integrationsprogram i Falköpings kommun i Sverige. Studien visar integrationsprogrammet ur en vetenskaplig synvinkel och undersöker hur framgångsrikt programmet är, baserat på programmets syfte, som är att öka självförsörjandegraden bland invandrare i Falköping. Syftet med denna studie är att om möjligt kunna förbättra och förändra det pedagogiska arbetet i integrationsprogrammet i Falköping, och därmed öka chansen till självförsörjning för deltagarna i integrationsprogrammet. Deltagarna i integrationsprogrammet har också gett sina synpunkter på de pedagogiska insatserna genom en enkätundersökning och några av deltagarna har också deltagit i personliga intervjuer. Resultatet av studien visar att kommunens måluppfyllelse är god.

The purpose of this essay was to analyze if and how teenagers think about immigrants and Swedes, the relationship between them and to find out where these thoughts originate from. The essay consisted of four main questions; do the teenagers think in terms of immigrants and Swedes? How do the teenagers reason in terms of who is an immigrant and who is Swedish? What do they think about the relationship between immigrants and Swedes? Where do these opinions originate from?The study was based on eight interviews conducted with teenagers born in 1987. Our conclusion of the study was that it is not easy to determine who is Swedish and who is not. It was clear in this study though that looks and behaviour were utterly important.

The aim of this thesis is to develop a new business model for district heating and cooling firms which can contribute to a stabilization of the Swedish national energy system. The business model is developed for a district heating and cooling firm and is exemplified with Fortum Heat. The theoretical investigation around the topic creates a rigid base for following qualitative empirical studies. This report deals with the modeling of a part of the communication system based on the IEEE 802.11a standard which represents the next generation of wireless LAN with greater scalability, better interference immunity and significantly higher speed, up to 54 Mbps. 802.11a uses Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) where modulation is performed by an IFFT and the demodulation by an FFT.
