The paper, with a brief summary of timber floating in Sweden and also of some previous re-Search in this field, contains a study on costs for timber-floating in the river Dalälven located in central Sweden. The public used timber-floating system in Dalälven and the historical background about this activity is described. The study is focused on the total costs for timber-floating in the public open floating system in Dalälven from 1900 to 1970, the year before the timber-floating was definitively closed down. Also the costs for separating the logs of a specific owner when they reached the point where they could be separated from the timber of other owners are analyzed..

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how teenagers are attracted and motivated to maintain a relationship with companies on the Internet. Companies that have teenagers as a target market have to understand their needs and wants, in order to establish relevant relations. The study has been carried out through a review of theory within the field of study. A case study was carried out through interviews with teenagers in the ages of 15 to 19. The results from the study showed that what mainly attract teenagers to visit a website are personal recommendations, the name on the website and high rankings on the Search engines.

This essay deals with the relationship between subcultures and literature. It includes an analysis of what adolescents read if they get to choose fiction by themselves. The paper aims to find out how staff and users at two public libraries and one Internetcafeuse Internet. The purpose has been to find out what they find and how they use the informa­tion they retrieve. The studies are based on eight longer interviews with the staff and 33 shorter with the users, who also were observed for a week. This thesis describes an optimising compiler for translating from SMV to CLP(B). The optimisation is aimed at reducing the number of required variables in order to decrease the size of the resulting BDDs. Also a partitioning of the transition relation is performed. The compiler uses an internal representation of a FSM that is built up from the SMV description. A number of rewrite steps are performed on the problem description such as encoding to a Boolean domain and performing the optimisations.

Syftet är att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor kan gå tillväga när de bedömer behov av och utför postoperativ smärtbehandling: vilka brister som kan förekomma samt belysa de faktorer som utgör en god postoperativ smärtbehandling. Metoden Litteraturstudie, sökandet av artiklar har gjorts i databaserna: Pubmed, Elin, Cinahl och Academic Search.. Resultat Sex teman framkom: Bedömning och utförande, smärtlindring i förebyggande syfte, preoperativ information, avbrott i smärtbehandling, kulturella olikheter och effektiv smärtbehandling. Kommunikationen, multidisciplinärtarbetssätt och fasta rutiner visade sig vara viktiga komponenter i den postoperativa smärtbehandlingen. Mer kunskap kring och om smärtbehandling bör ingå i grundutbildningen av sjuksköterskor.
