Det här är en intervjustudie om 22 intervjuer med gymnasieelever vid Barn och fritid-, Natur- och Fordonsprogrammen om deras sociala bakgrunder, deras föräldrars yrken och elevernas syn på sina val av program om de upplever någon orättvisa i det observerade sambandet som kallas den sociala snedrekryteringen. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur eleverna upplever sin situation i ett rättviseperspektiv. Den här studien bekräftar det nämnda sambandet, de flesta elever väljer program och vidare studier och arbeten i nivå med sina föräldrar. Detta är särskilt tydligt vid Natur- och Fordonsprogrammet. På Barn och fritid var det mera blandat.

Hälsofrämjande och förebyggande arbete rörande barn och elevers hälsa och utveckling berör en rad olika arenor i samhället, jag har i min studie valt att koncentrera mig på skolan och de förebyggande program som kan finnas där. Mitt syfte med studien var att belysa hur valet av dessa förebyggande program går till, vem beslutar att de ska användas och vem efterfrågar programmen. Jag har i en kommun genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med aktörer på olika nivåer i skolsystemet, ordföranden i barn- och utbildningsnämnden, förvaltningschefer i skolnämnderna samt tre rektorer, alla med rätt och förmåga att fatta beslut i sin verksamhet. Att jag valde de olika nivåerna i skolsystemet beror på att skolan ofta ses som en generell institution istället för det mångfald av olika organisationer som den faktiskt är (Karlsen & Persson 2004). Jag har därför valt att i min studie utgå från Gunnar Bergs (2003) teoriSkolan som institution och skolor som organisationer samt ett struktur- och aktörsperspektiv som en grund för att belysa det i förhållande till mitt syfte.I kommunen där jag genomförde min studie så var användandet av ICDP (International Child Development Programmes) och SET (Social och Emotionell Träning) utbrett.

Arbetsmarknaden i Silicon Valley karakteriseras av faktorer som hög personalomsättning, nätverkande och risktagande. Denna arbetsmarknad har vuxit fram på en begränsad geografisk yta och består idag ca 7 500 företag. Mjärdevi Science Park är en av de snabbast växande teknikparkerna i världen, varför vi anser att en jämförelse av de båda arbetsmarknaderna är intressant. Syftet är att med utgångspunkt från de faktorer som karakteriserar arbetsmarknaden i Silicon Valley, genomföra en jämförelse med arbetsmarknaden i Mjärdevi Science Park. Denna uppsats kommer inte att behandla vad det är som gör en teknikpark ekonomiskt framgångsrik.

This essay is from a student at the cultural Science program in Karlstad University. The essay in Culture studies deals about the history use and about the cultural-historical values on buildings. The buildings are from a certain area called the neighborhood Almen and have in the past been threatening many times of demolition. The neighborhood Almen buildings survived a huge city fire back in the 19th century. Since then the buildings has been known as a memory and by the inhabitants and as the oldest part of the city left.

International reading comprehension studies, like PIRLS and PISA, state that the reading comprehension of Swedish students has decreased significantly since 2000. As a consequence, the National Agency of Education has made reading comprehension teaching a prioritised field in terms of further education for teachers. There has also been a change in Lgr 11, the national curriculum for compulsory school, where it is stated that teaching in reading strategies shall be a part of the central content throughout compulsory school. When the pupils reach upper secondary school level, reading comprehension education is no longer a part of the curriculum. Today, students at upper secondary school for individuals with learning disabilities currently share the same curriculum as the ordinary upper secondary school.

Aim and Problem statement The study aimed to investigate views on physical health amongst patients in methadone maintenance program, which is a subject little explored. Previous studies suggest that methadone patients are at risk developing illnesses related to the metabolic syndrome and an unhealthy lifestyle. Methadone also has side effects such as weight gain and irregular levels of glucose. Method This qualitive study included seven interviews with patients in the methadone maintenance program in Uppsala. Qualitive content analyses were performed Findings Content anlyses gave the theme: The view on physical health is a stuggle after normality were ambivalence of lifestyle changes and alienation causes instability in helath.

Syftet med min undersökning är att ta reda på om före detta elever som tog examen 2005 på Industriprogrammet arbetar kvar i branschen och om de valde rätt gymnasieutbildning för sitt fortsatta yrkesliv. Metoden som jag valt att använda i mitt forskningsarbete är att intervjua en klass bestående av 17 elever. Jag har ställt frågor beträffande deras gymnasieval, om de arbetar de kvar i den bransch som de utbildade sig till eller sysslar de med något annat och vad de tyckte om utbildningen. De resultat som jag har kommit fram till pekar på att eleverna sökt sig till programmet av olika anledningar. För vissa elever så räckte inte poängen till att komma in på de program som de önskade, men de flesta tycker att de valde rätt utbildning. En anledning till valet var att det leder direkt till arbete efter gymnasiet..

In this essay, a search strategy for citation index is studied. The strategy, which is essentially a citation cycle, starts with documents retrieved by a subject search, wherefrom new documents are identified following the network of citations backwards and forwards in time. Based on the theory of polyrepresentation, the strategy exploits overlaps between cognitively different interpretations of the same documents in order to automatically select references seed documents used as a starting point for the forward chaining. The purpose of the investigation is to evaluate the retrieval effectiveness of the search strategy and to find out whether the strategy can be used to expand a subject search with the help of the network of references in order to retrieve new relevant documents. Two questions are formulated: 1a.

The paper examines how human inner properties and the interpretation of the external worldare explained and presented in Dark City (Alex Proyas, 1998). Aspects as the relationship between the body and soul/consciousness, body snatching, memory transferences and dystopian cities are analyzed. The field of study is compared to a general science-fiction film perspective regarding the aspects. Dark City contains an alien race with a common mind, but who lacks soul and individuality. They represent what humanity can become if the scientific development goes too far.

The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the participation of immigrant organizations to the partnerships in the Equal program in Sweden. The focus of the study was on the significance of the participation for the organizations and its impact on them. The point of view of the participant organizations has been object of study through interviews with the persons who, on behalf of the organizations, have been in charge for the work with Equal. Interviews have been conducted with people representing 10 of the 21 immigrant organizations that have been identified among the Swedish Equal partners. Many organizations have experienced that the participation has strengthen the awareness of target groups about their needs and their possibilities.

This thesis is a study of Parties as an outflow of societal changes where the aim has been to find out how parties are affected by societal changes and how they justify to new party formation. This is done by using a theory called Parties as an outflow of societal changes which is a theory developed by Swedish researchers in Political Science. To confirm the theory it is necessary to do an argumentation analysis of one external developed party?s electoral program. In this case the party selected is Feminist Initiative which brings a different view on how the society of Sweden should look like.Selected parts of the argumentative analysis will be examined with the purpose to give a perspective on how Feminist Initiative values the changes in society and how they describe their role as a new party.The main question of this study is; Are new parties an outflow of societal changes? The basic arguments includes that along with societal changes in Western Europe also changes the view of a representative democracy in which political parties play a central role.
