På uppdrag av Sweco Systems i Umeå har detta examensarbete utförts under våren 2013. Syftet var att undersöka huruvida något av de energiberäknings-program som används på företaget kan anses vara lämpligt vid energikartläggningar av befintliga fastigheter.Inledningsvis utfördes en energikartläggning av fastigheten Odin 12 i Umeå, som i huvudsak utgörs av gallerian MVG. Med resultaten från denna energikartläggning som grund beräknades därefter fastighetens energianvändning i två olika program ? VIP-Energy och IDA Indoor Climate and Energy.Resultaten från den inledande kartläggningen visar att fastigheten har ett lågt behov av fjärrvärme, vilket förklaras av fastighetens höga elförbrukning. Den stora användningen av el genererar stora mängder internvärme som, förutom att sänka fjärrvärmebehovet, även medför att fastigheten under hela året har ett kylbehov.Utvärderingen av de två beräkningsprogrammen visar att VIP-Energy är ett lämpligt program att använda vid energikartläggningar.

Syftet med denna rapport är att utreda vad matematik- respektive karaktärsämneslärare på yrkesprogrammen på gymnasiet anser att det finns för för- respektive nackdelar med en ämnesintegrering mellan deras ämnen. Med hjälp av en enkät har de två grupperna fått delge sina för- och nackdelar samt i vilken utsträckning de tillämpar en sådan ämnesintegrering. Enkäten användes också som underlag för en intervju som låg till grund för en beskrivning av hur ett ämnesintegrerat arbete kan gå till. Majoriteten av lärarna var positiva till att ämnesintegrera och ansåg att de tillämpade en sådan undervisning men endast ett fåtal samarbetade med sina kollegor över ämnesgränserna..

The aim of this thesis is to map the research area of scientific collaboration within Library and Information Science LIS. The purpose is to find out who is doing research in this area, who they cite and if they get cited by other scientists outside of LIS. Scientific collaboration is an interdisciplinary research area with researchers from different disciplines such as LIS, human-computer interaction, psychology and sociology. We have concentrated our study to North America, Ireland, Great Britain and Scandinavia. In order to find researchers, we visited the websites of all universities with library and information science faculties in the chosen countries.

Since studies points out declining interest in science among students in Swedish schools, I have in this paper chosen to examine how some students at the Social Science programme are experiencing the lessons in Natural Science and how to make lessons more interesting according to these students.The purpose of this study was to gain a greater understanding of how teachers would develop new perspectives and tools to make lessons in Natural Science more interesting. I also wanted to investigate whether an intercultural perspective could be a possible tool to increase students? interest and motivation.As a theoretical framework, I have assumed Vygotskij's sociocultural perspective, Habermas's theory of deliberative conversations and an intercultural perspective. Through a qualitative approach, I conducted interviews with students and teachers. The main results showed that students felt that natural Science lessons were too theoretical and undemocratic and that they wanted to have more student interactions, such as discussions and group works.

Examensarbetets syfte var att undersöka och redogöra för tillvägagångssättet för att ta fram ett program för parallellt uppdrag för stadsdelen Nya Eriksberg i Uppsala. Uppsatsen besvarar också frågeställningen hur arbetsprocessen ser ut för att ta fram ett program för ett parallellt uppdrag. Stadsdelen Eriksberg ligger i utkanten av centrala Uppsala. Bostadsbolaget Uppsalahem är en av de dominerande markägarna i området tillsammans med Uppsala kommun. Stadsdelen byggdes ut på 60-talet och många av Uppsalahems fastigheter är i behov av omfattande renoveringar. I samband med en förnyelse av dessa detta såg Uppsalahem möjligheten att få flera olika utvecklingsmöjligheter av området belyst genom att arrangera ett parallellt uppdrag.

The main purpose of this study is to, in the educator?s point of view, try to find out how pre-schools approach science and technology along with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The survey was conducted based on qualitative interviews where two preschools participated, a total of seven teachers were interviewed. One of the preschools only has access to a computer, and the other preschool is able to use both computer and tablets in their preschool activities. The results of this show that the teacher?s thoughts about ICT are positive and that they consider it as an important part of their work and have many areas where it is useful.

The comprehensive goal in this study was to examine important factors in an introduction of a new machine team. The aim was to identify what elements should be part of an introduction program for new machine team. The examination was done together with Stora Enso Skog. A new machine team and their supervisors where analyzed during a six month period. The evaluation was done with open interviews of the team members and their supervisors. The main question was what should be included in an introduction program to develop a successful machine team as effective as possible? Interviews of the new team and analyses gave good indications how the procedure should be done.

This thesis deals with one of the main questions within information science: The question about controlled and uncontrolled vocabulary and which of the two that are most effective when it comes to retrieve relevant information from electronic databases. The method used here is literature studies. I have described and examined five empirical studies which has been done in purpose to compare the effectiveness in retrieval with controlled and uncontrolled vocabulary, in the way they are used in retrieval of information in databases. The studies I have examined have also used recall and precision as a value to measure the effectiveness of retrieval. The studies which I have chosen is also limited to deal only with studies that have been done in bibliographic databases.

I Sverige och utomlands har man på senare tid sett framväxten av ett nätverk av s.k. Science Centers (SC). Dessa SC har som viktigaste syfte att öka besökarnas naturvetenskapliga intresse. När det gäller elever från högstadiets senare år kan detta ökade intresse för naturvetenskap t ex visa sig i form av en ökad benägenhet hos eleverna att söka sig till ett naturvetenskapligt inriktat gymnasieprogram.Vi har utvecklat och använt en enkät-baserad metod för att undersöka den påverkan på elevers intresse för naturvetenskap som ett besök på SC har. Enkäten är lämplig att användas för elever från grundskolans senare årskurser.

 The purpose with my study was primarily to illuminate the students' expectations on gained knowledge during their studies at the upper secondary school Hotel- and Restaurant program, and to what extent these expectations were fulfilled. Secondarily, the purpose was to compare the students' expected and perceived knowledge with the program goals set by the Swedish government and the knowledge requirements expressed in a pilot study made by the Education council of the Hotel and restaurant business (UHR, 2007).I chose a quantative approach and I used an anonymous group enquiry among students at the Hotel- and Restaurant program at two different upper secondary schools to carry out my study.Tendencies in the result suggested that the students at the Hotel- and Restaurant program expected high knowledge level within the competence areas of Guest reception and communication, Cleaning and hygiene, Cooking of cold and hot dishes and Waiting. The expectations were not big within the areas Computers and Internet and Business economics and management.Fulfillment of expected knowledge tended to be high within the areas where the expectations were big. It might therefore be a good investment for schools to work on the student expectations to increase motivation within the low expectation areas.A confrontation of the tendencies in the result with the program goals and the competence requirements expressed in the UHR study, suggested that the upper secondary Hotel- and Restaurant education might focus some more the areas of Guest reception and communication, Beverages and Organization of banquets. Business economics and management should be given much more weight..

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur lärare på ett yrkesförberedande ? och ett studieförberedande program strukturerar sin undervisning av litteraturhistoria i kursen Svenska B på gymnasiet samt hur de läroböcker som används på respektive program är uppbyggda och vad de innehåller. Metoden som används är textanalys av kursupplägg och läroböcker. Resultatet visar på att det finns skillnader mellan de två programmen både vad gäller kursupplägg och läroböcker. Läroböckerna skiljer sig åt genom att den som används på det yrkesförberedande är enklare uppbyggd och tillgängligare för en elev än vad den svårare och faktamättade läroboken som det studieinriktade programmet använder.

Dagens spel har väldigt väl utvecklade karaktärer men hur skapar man en karaktär egentligen? Denna rapport kommer att handla om processen för att skapa en spelkaraktär, man kommer att ta en titt på vilka verktyg och program som kan användas sig av när man skapar en spelkaraktär. Man kommer även skapa en egen karaktär och använda sig utav några utvalda program för att skapa den och kommer även undersöka lite om de program som har använts i skapandet av den karaktär som kommer skapas för att få en bättre förståelse för hur man kan göra när man skapar en karaktär och kommer i slutet gå igenom resultatet av arbetet på denna karaktär och vad man har kommit fram till. Kraven på en designer är väldigt höga och processen för att skapa en spelkaraktär kan se ut på olika sätt så i denna rapport prövar vi en process..

The purpose of this paper was to investigate what young behavioral science students, born in the 1980s, think is important in their future work life. The purpose has also been to investigate what attitudes the behavioral science students have towards their future work life, and what place work has in the young behavioral science students lives. After clarification of above, the aim has also been to compare the results with former research. Thereafter the purpose has been to investigate whether traditional work motivation and job satisfaction theories are applicable for young people today. The empirical material is based on interviews with six women who study behavioral science at various levels.

The purpose of this study is to make a qualitative evaluation of the MTFC-program (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care) on the basis of six youth´s experiences of the program. The study will investigate what the youth experienced as positive and negative about the program as well as finding out what has helped them or inhibited them from the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle. A secondary purpose of this study is to make the youth´s voices heard in the research world. The research question is: Which factors in the MTFC-program have helped or inhibited the youth towards the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle? For this purpose, a qualitative research method has been used where semistructured interviews have been performed on six youth who have gone through the MTFC-program.
