AimThe purpose of this study has been to examine attitudes towards dance in a broad sense, among Swedish Schoolchildren. The study has been done with three different questions in mind: What do pupils think and express about dance? Are there any differences in attitude towards dance between girls and boys? And how do the pupils relate to gender conceptions in connection to dance illustrations?MethodEight pupils 12 ? 14 years of age have been interviewed separately during physical education lessons. During parts of the interviews dance illustrations were used in order to encourage the pupils in their discussions, especially when asked to relate to dance and gender conceptions. The statements have been interpreted from a gender theoretical perspective.ResultsMy interview study shows that male pupils to a larger extent than female pupils inhabit hostile feelings towards dance as part of physical education lessons.

The five films were chosen because they all originated from the same campaign against bullying amongst Schoolchildren. The methods used were partly rhetoric analysis and partly visual rhetoric analysis.Main results: The conclusion we can draw from this study is that Friends anti-bullying films uses several rhetoric methods, both classic and visual, to convince their audience. Occurrence of pathos (emotions) arguments as convincing method was most commonly used, followed by ethos (sender trust) and only a few logos (fact) arguments.

Training in outdoor education for teachers has contributed to outdoor education having become part of elementary schools´ activities.The purpose of this study is to find out to what extent a School of Nature is useful for three primary school teachers´ activities.

Ungdomars uppfattningar om sömnens betydelse i vardagen - en kvalitativ intervjustudie

Introduktion: Det finns kunskap om ungdomars sömnbehov. Tidigare forskning visar att hälsokonsekvenser kan uppstå om sömnbehoven inte tillfredställs. I en dialog med skolsköterskan har ungdomar en möjlighet att samtala om levnadsvanor såsom sömn. Ungdomars syn på sin sömn och upplevelser av dess påverkan i vardagslivet kan komma att bidra till ny kunskap. Denna kunskap kan ge skolsköterskan en ökad förståelse för hur ungdomar uppfattar sammanhanget och ge en värdefull riktning på hur och var hälsosamma insatser bör initieras.

Our society's development is making increasing demands on the theoretical capacity, and school's goals aligned in the same direction. The proportion of pupils failing to achieve the goals are increasing in number, a failure which has major implications not only for the individual student but also for society at large. This study's focus is directed against a group of students where the reason for this is a lack of ability to abstract thinking.
