I dagens läge har energifrågorna väckt ett stort intresse i samhället. Nu fokuseras det mer på att bygga energisnålare hus. En betydande faktor som påverkar energiförbrukningen i våra hus är köldbryggor. De uppstår då ett material med dålig värmeisolering bryter igenom ett material med bättre värmeisolering. Köldbryggor är nästan omöjligt att undvika, dock går alltid att reducera.

Manual signs are an augmentative and alternative communication mode which enables and facilitates communication for persons with impairments in speech, language and hearing. There are different ways of teaching signs to persons with intellectual disabilities. One of them is milieu teaching, which is a method where the teaching takes place in natural settings. This method has proven to give good results in generalization and maintenance. Teaching signs to staff in groups has been shown to be effective.

AbstractThis master thesis was performed at Scania transmission department in Södertälje, where the manufacturing of gears is done. Today a large amount of manual handling is performed between the machining and the hardening process. Most of the manual handling is done at the heat treatment department. The purpose of this master thesis is to give a suggestion on how to reduce or eliminate the manual handling at the heat treatment department. The possibility to use the same packaging throughout the processes will also be investigated.

We aim to study their point of view: what experiences and attitudes they have towards the phenomenon. Key questions to be answered are: What experiences and attitudes do the members of the Swedish parliamentary Committee on Environment and Agriculture have towards lobbying? What skills does a successful lobbyist possess, according to the members of the committee? How do the organizations Skogsindustrierna and Naturskyddsfo?reningen lobby?Method/Material: The material used in this study consists of interviews with nine respondents of the Committee on Environment and Agriculture in the Swedish parliament. Additionally, two informant interviews with the organizations Skogsindustrierna and Naturskyddsfo?reningen were made.

The release of green house gases and the environmental impacts humans have on the environment are huge and might cause irreversible changes to our earth. Meat is considered to have large impacts on the environment, especially beef meat and therefore there have lately been considerable discussions on the sustainable level of meat consumption and production. The main goal with this thesis is to study sustainable meat production and meat consumption in the county of Dalarna in Sweden. Indicators for sustainable meat production and meat consumption were developed and applied on three cases. Interviews were carried out with a municipality in the region that represents the consumer and three beef farmers that represents the producers.

Gäddan & fisket i Ringsjöholm : en osteologisk metodstudie i säsong & bevarande

This paper presents the results from an osteological method study of the Ringsjöholm fishbone material. Ringsjöholm is located in Scania, southern Sweden and is 14C dated to 5960-5200 B.P. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse methods used on fish bone material in estimations of season. Three different approaches were used to estimate the fishing season at the Ringsjöholm settlement; 1) identified species, 2) size estimations of the pike based on Enghoffs (1994-95) regression formulae of os dentale, and 3) growth rings of the pike vertebrae.The identified species and the size estimations of the pike points to the fishing being active both during spring and summer. Growth rings analysis of the pike vertebrae didn?t give any quantitative results because of fragmentation.

Vindkraft eller kärnkraft - En jämförelse

The scope of this project is to make a comparison of costs associated with wind and nuclear power in order to decide which one of these is the most suitable in the case of an increased demand for electricity. It is also investigated if there are other factors that can influence the choice of energy source.An average cost is calculated in terms of kronor per kilowatt-hour (SEK/kWh) using cost of investment, operation & maintenance and taxes & subsidies. Total investment cost is recalculated to production cost using the annuity method at three different interest rates (6%, 9% and 12%).The comparison is made between three cases of wind power and two cases of nuclear power. For wind power there are two ocean-based (300MW and 100MW installed capacity, respectively) and one land-based (60MW) wind farm. For nuclear power there is one EPR-reactor (1600MW) and one AP1000-reactor (1100MW).

Utveckling av dyksystem : Handhållen enhet för sökning under vatten

Ocean Modules Sweden AB is a small business active in the field of underwater technology. Thecompany was contacted by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) in order todevelop a new system that would conform to their specific requirements. Two students at theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH) were consulted in conjunction of this project in order to aidthe development and conceptual design of the system.The primary users of the system are the divers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal division (EOD)- a branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. The purpose of the product was to incorporate allnecessary functions required by the EOD divers into one single system. The main functions arecommunication between the surface operator and diver, video recording, still imaging, positioning,navigation and ocean floor mapping with sonar.

Människans näringar och kulturer har orsakat landskapsförändringar som på många håll i världen lett till flera ekologiska konsekvenser som erosion liksom övergödning av vattendrag och hav. Skogsbruk såväl som jordbruk har därutöver resulterat i stora utarmningar av den biologiska mångfalden på jorden. Sedan en tid har jordbrukets negativa konsekvenser fått alltmer uppmärksamhet inom bland annat politik, forskning och näringsliv, varav somliga människor aktivt försökt stoppa det negativa händelseförloppet som manifesterat många av världens odlingslandskap. Diskussioner som innefattar ekosystemet och dess så kallade tjänster för människans såväl som andra organismers överlevnad och välbefinnande erhåller därutöver mer och mer fokus i strävan mot miljövänligare alternativ för storskalig odling. I sökandet efter mer ekologiskt sunda odlingssystem har intresset igen väckts för agroforestrysystem, som kombinerar vedartade växter med vanligt förekommande grödor. Etableringen av lähäckar på respektive intill odlingarealer i Skåne kan bidra med flertalet ekosysystemtjänster vilka bevisats stoppa ex.

Samordning av monteringssystem och materialförsörjningssystem på Scanias växellådsfabrik i Sibbhult

Bakgrunden till vårt examensarbete på Scania i Sibbhult är att personer i ledande ställning inte är tillfredsställda med hur materialförsörjningen av hemmatillverkade artiklar till monteringslinjen fungerar idag. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram underlag över hur materialförsörjningen och monteringssättet fungerar idag och utifrån detta underlag bedöma om materialförsörjningen till monteringslinjen fungerar optimalt. Om inte, ta fram förslag på förbättringsverktyg för att effektivisera samordningen av materialförsörjningen och monteringssättet.Med hjälp av intervjuer och observationer har vi samlat in information över hur monteringssätt och materialflödessystem fungerar idag. Efter sammanställning och analys av informationen bedömde vi att det nuvarande materialförsörjningssystemet inte fungerar optimalt och att det kan förbättras. Genom brainstorming kom vi fram till ett flertal olika förslag till förbättring, två förslag redovisas i arbetet.

En naken forntid? - om textilforskningens roll i den övergripande arkeologiska diskussionen

The aim of this essay is to make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The first is a study of literature used in archaeological education at five Swedish universities. The other two consists of a study which is aimed to find out how textile research results are published, and one in which archaeologists and textile researchers have answered questions about how they experience the relation between archaeology and textile research.There has also been done a comparison between interpretations of the archaeological material from the site of Löddeköpinge in west Scania.

Buskröjning längs skogsbilvägar : en produktivitetsstudie av två kättingslagor

To regularly remove woody vegetation along the roadside of forest roads is an important part of the road maintenance, since the vegetation binds moisture in the road side and, thus, the removal makes the road drying faster with results in improved bearing capacity. Vegetation removal also makes it easier to upgrade the road by material recycling from the ditch and, moreover, the visibility along the road is maintained.The aim of the study was to evaluate what type of chain flail is the best and most cost-effective for removal of different kind of woody vegetation along forest roadsides.Time studies were made on two chain flails when removing woody vegetation in three different classes; easy-, middle- and heavy shrub removal. The studied flails were one light and rather simple flail named Optimal M160 and a heavier and more advanced flail named Slagkraft H210. The removal was made according to Holmen Skogs? specification and the quality of the cleaning was measured by objective belt inventory.The productivity was higher with the heavy flail within all cleaning classes.

Miljöklassningssystem : Skillnader mellan Miljöklassad Byggnad och LEED samt dess påverkan på fastighetsvärdet

A uniform environmental rating system for green buildings is demanded in today's society, where the requirements of the energy consumption for real estate are increasing. There are several different systems around the world used to rate buildings, all with different assessment criteria and starting points, which make it difficult to compare environmental rated buildings with each other.The purpose of this paper is to acquire knowledge about the differences between the Swedish environmental rating system Miljöklassad Byggnad and the American LEED, to discover which system is most advantageous. We also examine whether environmental rating affect the value of a property.Miljöklassad Byggnad is relatively simple structured, which makes it possible for private individuals to rate their property. LEED is better structured on the other hand in the case of environmental classification of commercial properties, because there are manuals for among others hospitals, schools and retail. The rating system for Miljöklassad Byggnad is good since the system seeks to fix the number of errors and deficiencies as soon as possible.
