The development in electronics increases the demand for good design methods and design tools in the field of electrical engeneering. To improve their design methods Ericsson Microwave Systems AB is interested in using computer tools to create a link between the specification and the implementation of a digital system in a FPGA. Xilinx System Generator for DSP is a tool for implementing a model of a digital signalprocessing algorithm in a Xilinx FPGA. To evaluate Xilinx System Generator two testcases has been designed. The testcases are selected to represent the FPGA designs made at Ericsson Microwave Systems.

I och med det enorma användningsområdet av datorsystem i dagens samhälle finns många typer av användare och uppgifter att designa för. Genom designriktlinjer kan utvecklare få referenser och guidning för att skapa användbara applikationer från början. På så vis kan tid sparas i utvecklingsprocessen. Från och med puberteten då människan kan anses vara vuxen ändras förmåga till andraspråksinlärning, trots detta finns det människor som lär sig andraspråk i vuxen ålder. Kunskap kring vad dessa skillnader beror på måste användas i designen av en andraspråksinlärningsapplikation för att tillgodose människans kognitiva förmågor.

Denna rapport avser att undersöka för- och nackdelar med att utveckla ett för ändamålet specialanpassat system eller utnyttja de standardsystem, som i det aktuella fallet tryckerikoncernen JMS redan äger och använder. Genom en mer noggrann definiering av ickefunktionella krav på bland annat användbarhet har en specialanpassad prototyp framställts. I projektet användes metoder för kravinsamling som ledde till en kravspecifikation och i sin tur slutade med en färdig prototyp. Prototypen jämfördes med två standardsystem genom användartester och intervjuer. Prototypen visade sig leva upp till de krav som upptäcktes.

Människor verkar generellt handla och uppträda på sätt som ger fördelar till dem själva och de grupper de är medlemmar i. Fördelarna gäller resurser, status, prestige men också socialt fördelaktigt beteende. Beaupré och Hess (2003) fann att människor ansåg medlemmar ur sin egna etniska grupp vara gladare än människor från andra etniska grupper. För att undersöka om icke socialt sammansatta grupper skulle attribuera gladare ansiktsuttryck till den egna gruppen, innegruppen, framför andra grupper, utegrupper, replikerades studien i minimala grupper. Det visade sig att innegruppen oftare favoriserades med glada ansiktsuttryck medan utegruppen oftare attribuerades neutrala ansiktsuttryck..

AbstractThis paper discusses how system development methods today support communication between system developers and their customers and end users. Today there are many system development methodologies with different aims and emphases. It is difficult, however, to find among these methods those who promote good and effective communication with customers because so many of these are very technically rooted and not as much directed towards the soft aspects of systems development - i.e. Human aspects. Our own experiences tells that a simple interview can be initialized without us having an idea what to ask the customer about or how to structure it up - nonetheless it?s done, but the outcome is just chance.

This paper investigates the internal product costing system in one of the Swedish banks with the purpose to evaluate the quality of its product costs and possible implications on decision making. The study shows that the current system distorts product costs by, among other things, using relative allocation of costs and time and by allocating all costs to individual units of products. We therefore propose an alternative product costing system, which mainly draws on ABC theory but is also adapted to the specific needs of service companies and of the Bank. This proposal is intended as a solution in this particular case and not to be generalized in other contexts. We hope however to add to the understanding of why more complex costing systems, such as the ones based on ABC theory are, according to previous studies, not widely used in practice.

Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att genom en litteraturgranskning undersöka om ökad fysisk aktivitet har något samband med inlärningen och skolprestationerna hos barn i åldrarna 6-12 år. Metod: Litteratursökningen i databaserna CINAHL och Academic Search Elite resulterade i 15 artiklar som publicerats de senaste fem åren. Artiklarna har kvalitetsgranskats och därefter sammanställts. Resultat: Fysisk aktivitet i samband med inlärning har i ett flertal studier visat sig leda till positiva resultat genom snabbare svarstid, noggrannhet och uppmärksamhet. Barnen som deltog i aeroba aktiviteter blev mer uthålliga och kunde behålla fokus längre vid de kognitiva testerna.

The intention has been to look at the school system in South Africa and specifically at arts and culture in grade 10 to 12. I have visited a number of classes and interviewed the teachers working at the art centre PJ Olivier in Stellenbosch. By doing this I wanted to get to know the system and to understand the intentions that the curriculum describes.I have all through the study related the areas I?ve looked at to the curriculum to see how well the intentions are implemented. I have also compared everything with the Swedish school system.The curriculum has good intentions but the country has a lot to do before they reach the goals with a school system where everybody is included and where there is ?ubuntu? (Zulu word for humanity or I am what I am because of what we all are).

This thesis aims to develop a control system for measuring electromagnetic compability (EMC). This has meant that a controller designed around an ATmega8 microcontroller has been manufactured and programmed. It has also meant the development of a comprehensive control software in the program MATLAB. The control system has been tested with satisfactory results and can now, monitor and control measurements of the EMC-type..

För att inte riskera att stänga vissa grupper ute från de fördelar denna utveckling erbjuder, behöver tjänster på webben göras tillgängliga även för grupper med särskilda behov. Gemenskap och delaktighet även för grupper med särskilda behov kännetecknar ett demokratiskt IT-samhälle. Förmågan att hantera tid är central i människans liv. Webbtjänster som vill erbjuda sina användare kognitiv tillgänglighet måste ta hänsyn till tidsförståelse som en kognitiv aspekt.

Bakgrund: Fibromyalgi är ett syndrom och ett kroniskt tillstånd som orsakar smärta, ömhet och stelhet i rörelseorganen. Fibromyalgi karaktäriseras också av sömnstörningar, fatigue, ångest, depression och problem med tarmfunktionerna. Syfte: Att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med fibromyalgi och vilka copingstrategier de använder för att hantera sin situation. Metod: Litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Resultat: Kvinnor med fibromyalgi upplevde en oförutsägbar fluktuerande och utbredd smärta, en ständigt närvarande fatigue, stelhet samt kognitiva svårigheter.

Problem: Our opinion is that it is important to consider about usability in system development. In this thesis we will focus on usability in point-of-sale systems. The point-of-sale system we base this thesis on is Extenda Retail. Our case study is performed on Ica Kvantum in Bromölla, which implemented Extenda Retail about two years ago. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to figure out what important factors there are to consider, in usability aspects, when developing point-of-sale systems, with focus on the cashier. We also wish to find out the cashiers opinions about the Extenda Retail system. Method: The information gathered for this thesis consists of literature and interviews.

Today an increasing number of schools and organizations are investing in so called Learning Management Systems. Researchers disagree on the pedagogical value of these tools. Some mean that Learning Management Systems cement old-fashioned behaviouristic teaching practices; others mean that the systems provide good opportunities in supporting learning in a socio cultural perspective. The aim of this study is to reach better understanding and increased knowledge of how the introduction of a Learning Management System influences the role of the teacher and how the learning is organized. We have conducted two case studies.

This project investigated the current market regarding wireless net and the communication between the tools used for diagnostics/maintenance and an embedded system. Based on documentation obtained through interviews a demo system was created based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between an embedded system and an Android device.This report intends to describe the tools and methods used in the design of the demo system and the result of an analysis of the BLE communication.Bluetooth Low Energy is an exciting protocol with wide applicability within the industrial field. Institutionell teori förklarar socialt liv genom att undersöka institutioners påverkan på sociala relationer. Institutionella föreställningar ses som närvarande i alla sociala relationer genom kulturella, kognitiva och normativa institutionella element, som ges stor betydelse i denna teoribildning. Denna uppsats syftar till att problematisera institutionell teori genom att införa maktaspekter i teoribildningens förklaringsmodeller eftersom detta hittills varit ovanligt i institutionella analyser. Särskilt de förklaringsmodeller som betonar kulturella och kognitiva element har saknat maktaspekter. Uppsatsen är ett integrationsförsök mellan institutionell teori och maktteori.
