Background: The relationship between advanced age, presence of illness and impaired functioning is well known. A large proportion of the elderly population has an extensive need of care and service and therefore need help from municipal care. Aging is a transition in life and also affects the person's identity and self image, making the person particularly vulnerable and challenging everyday safety. It is therefore of importance to gain knowledge about which factors at individual and organizational level that support a person-centered nursing care for the elderly so that caring responsibilities and staffing of nursing personnel may be scheduled based on need. Aim: This study aimed at describing dependency and care needs of elderly persons living in ordinary housing, sheltered housing and nursing homes.

INLEDNINGIntensivvårdsmiljön är en komplex och avancerad miljö där svårt sjuka patienter vårdas. Det är även denna patientgrupp som har störst risk att drabbas av en vårdskada, både pga. sitt tillstånd och för att de utsätts för avancerad vård och behandling i en högteknologisk miljö. I Kompetensbeskrivningen för intensivvårdssjuksköterskor påpekas att då miljön blir mera teknisk och avancerad krävs aktivt arbete för att uppnå patientsäkerhet. Socialstyrelsens statistik avseende vårdskador inom den somatiska hälso- och sjukvården visar att vårdskador är vanligt förekommande.

This master thesis is a study of anaerobic thread lockers and is done in cooperation withÖhlins Racing AB, which is a Swedish manufacturer of vehicle suspensions.The suspension in vehicles is constantly exposed to high vibration levels and a suspensionunit has several screw- and cylindrical joints. As an extra safety precaution so that thecomponents in the suspension doesn?t fall apart when using the vehicle, an anaerobicthreadlocker is added in these joints. The handling of these threadlockers is not totallyharmless and could lead to allergic reactions, and therefore there are Swedish laws to limit theuse of these. However, new types of anaerobic threadlockers have recently been launched onthe marked that are not considered under this law.

The development has created a positive impact on production but on working conditions it has resulted in increased work pace and load. Psychosocial and stress-related problems has increased. Det har blivit vanligt att kommuner måste hänvisa en ny hämtningsplats pga. att sophämtningsentreprenörens skyddsombud har belagt hämtningen med skyddstopp. Därmed kan inte hushållsavfallet hämtas på den befintliga hämtningsplatsen utan kommunen måste hitta en ny hämtningsplats för hushållsavfallet. Ny hämtningsplats får inte meddelas hur som helst utan detta måste ske i enlighet med lagstiftning och förordningar.Syftet med denna uppsats är att få fram riktlinjer för vad som gäller när en ny hämtningsplats för hushållsavfall måste utfärdas och hur kommuner runt om i landet har löst problem som har uppstått i samband med detta.För att kunna upprätta en hämtningsplats måste Kommunen ha rådighet över eller avtal med ägaren till den mark som skall användas för hämtningsplatsen. Kommunerna som svarade på enkäten har löst problemet på olika sätt men i regel har det varit antingen kommunens eller den berörda fastighetsägarens mark som använts till hämtningsplats för hushållssoporna.Avståndet mellan bostaden och hämtningsplatsen kan variera från fall till fall men Avfall Sverige har tagit fram riktlinjer för fritidshus om 400-500 meter.

Extensive cattle management was reintroduced in Sweden during the 1950´s and 60´s. Usually this term refers to suckler cows for meat production that is kept outdoors all year around. Suckler cow farms tend to become fewer but bigger over time. Still however most of the farms with beef cows are small. Effektbelysning i trafikmiljö är ett nytt angreppssätt i strävan mot Nollvisionen, som är utgångspunkten för trafiksäkerhetsarbetet i Sverige. Upp emot 70 procent av de statliga belysningsanläggningarna har nått sin tekniska livslängd samtidigt som kraven på kombinationen av funktion, estetik och kvalitet har ökat i moderna belysningsanläggningar. Tidigare forskning beskriver ett samband mellan visuella kvaliteter och trafiksäkerhet och den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur gestaltning med effektbelysning i trafikmiljö kan öka trafiksäkerheten. Uppsatsen avgränsas till belysningsanläggningar i storskaliga trafikmiljöer och behandlar exempel på trafikplatser och vägbroar i Sverige och Danmark. För att få en bild av hur effektbelysningen gestaltats i dessa trafikmiljöer presenteras och undersöks befintliga belysningsanläggningar genom samtal med de involverade ljusdesignerna.

In Sweden there are 560 000 disabled people over the age of 16, half of those are in use of some kind of mobility device.Living with a disability means that due to injury or illness you are having trouble functioning without devices or assistance in your daily life and has a big impact on the independence of the disabled user.The everyday life for disabled parents with young children are different depending on the type of disability and mobility device.Today there is no alternative to the stroller for the disabled user who use mobility advises. This causes problems when the disabled person on there own have/want to move the child.The following statement have been the cornerstone for this project: How to make it possible for a wheelchair user to move a child, in the 0-2 year, for longer distances with a focus on independence and safety for both adult children?Due the process, of industrial design, this question and problem have been solved during 10 weeks. The process have contained parts as meeting with users, analyzing, concept development, evaluations, mock-up making, testing, shape & color development etc. This in the end have resulted in a full scale model of the appearance of a proposed product.The result is a stroller witch can be connected to the users specific wheelchair due two one time adjustments.

Method: A descriptive and analytical quantitative method was used in the study.

I en publik finns alla typer av människor representerade och det finns flera utmaningar kring att kommunicera säkerhet till en bred målgrupp som har fokus på upplevelsen av evenemanget.Syftet med denna studie är att fånga uppfattningen av hur ansvariga på arenor arbetar och interagerar kring säkerhet med besökare på en arena. Totalt har sex stycken kvalitativa intervjuer med åtta personer som arbetar med arenor genomförts och tematiskt analyserats.Resultatet framhäver att säkerhet och trygghet ligger högst på prioritetslistan både hos arenor och arrangörer. Aktörernas storlek och därmed resurser påverkar förutsättningarna för arbetet och därför kan arbetssättet variera. Samverkan mellan olika aktörer och myndigheter har utvecklats de senaste åren och fungerar väl.

The subject of this bachelors degree project is an interior layout for road ambulances.Landstinget Västernorrland (LVN) wanted a layout concept that would be used to com- municate their design intentions to the ambulance producers during their purchase process.Designing ambulance interiors is an extremely complex process since there so many fac- tors to take into consideration. It ?s not just about taking the equipment and place it where there is space left in the cabin. You have to start with the user in focus and the tasks that are to be performed in the ambulance environment.It ishard to find design solutions that will fit 100% of the ambulance personnel?s working routines for 100% of the tasks.

Litteraturen visar på ett paradigmskifte i relation till barns säkerhet, från att barnen skall vara så säkra som möjligt till att de skall vara så säkra som de behöver. Detta kan vara ett sätt att tillgodose både barnens behov av utmaningar för att utvecklas och må bra samt deras behov av säkerhet. I relation till en sådan pågående förändring är det viktigt att undersöka hur föräldrar, som förmyndare för barnen, ser på barns säkerhet i relation till hemmet och barnomsorgen, såsom de två arenor där barnen spenderar större delen av sin vardag. Syftet med studien är att undersöka föräldrars syn på barns säkerhet i hemmet och inom barnomsorgen. Syftet omfattar även att undersöka föräldrars upplevelse av inflytande över de risker barnen utsätts för och de risker barnen tillåts eller inte tillåts att ta i dessa miljöer.

GE Healthcare wants to investigate whether additive manufacturing would be an alternative method in their workshops in the Umea? plant. Additive manufacturing is called 3D printing in everyday language and manufactures details by building them up layer by layer in an automated machine. The purpose of this work is therefore to investigate how mature additive manufacturing methods are and how they could be used at GE.The work has been divided into three parts. The first section investigates how additive manufacturing would work in the production workshop at GE.
