We are getting smarter. Our knowledge of the world around us is increasing rapidly and our population spend a big portion of their time in school studying it. But art and craft are moving out to give room for more theoretical subjects. Today many of us can not even fix a torn shirt without help. We buy new ones, they are cheap enough.

The purpose of this development project is to create a model for working with a high school project in Electrical and Energy Program. It should be conducted in a form like companies do according to the goals from The Swedish National Agency for Education. In order to fully perform this we use the concept of Young Entrepreneurship. The model is created according to the new conditions from The National Electrical Safety Board. There is now an exception saying that a student during education is released from the demand of employment that is the normal procedure where you are under supervision from a certified electrician. During the project there has been theoretical and practical examinations in order to clear out the advantages and disadvantages using this model, but also to examine whether it is useful in the future and to what extent it can be used. The result indicates that the model is useful and fulfills the goals from The Swedish National Agency for Education but that the model has its limitations and difficulties.

In the previous curriculum for the preschool Lpfö 98, the educational responsibility was documented belonging to all the team members. On the 1st of July 2011 a new curriculum was introduced to the preschool, Lpfö 98/10, where it is documented that the educational responsibility now belongs to the preschool teachers. According to curriculum experts at the Swedish school board this educational responsibility is not new, just a clarification of the preschool teacher?s educational responsibility.This study is a qualitative study and the purpose was to interview the preschool teachers about their thoughts concerning their educational responsibility. The purpose was also to examine if their educational responsibility has affected their role in the team at the preschool and if they believe that this has any significance for their profession.My result of the study shows that the educational responsibility of the preschool teachers now has been clarified and that they should take a leading role in the team towards the goals that are set for the preschool.

Denna kandidatuppsats syftar till att utvärdera en i sammanhanget ny modell för värdering av optioner. Modellen går under namnet SABR och har enligt flera bedömare tagit en position som branschstandard inom vissa områden. Flera forskningsrapporter har presenterats i vilka modellen analyseras matematiskt och tillämpas på specifika marknader. I denna uppsats används data från Chicago Board of Exchange, mer specifikt optionen på S&P 500 index. Tillämpningen grundas på en kalibrering (regression) av vissa parametrar.

I have studied how human networks can affect decision-making and different constellations. The primary purpose is to clarify the possibility to affect the decision to move the infrastructure investments from Region Skåne to Region Västra Götaland. The study starts at the EU-level and continues to the Government and on to the region. Region Skåne is studied especially since it was from there the infrastructure investments were moved.The conclusion is that there is no specific representation in the government that represents regional topics, in spite of the fact that almost 30% of the members of the Parliament come from these regions. There is no discussion between the members that could be considered a networking-activity beneficial for the regions.

Förutom att uppfylla gällande regler och riktlinjer för rollen skall den som är verksam som handledare för studenter i deras fartygsförlagda utbildning även känna ett stöd från arbetsgivare och kollegor. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om handledarna upplever att de får detta stöd och även undersöka vad lärosäten, SUI och studenter kan göra för att underlätta handledningen. Studien har genomförts med en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer ansikte mot ansikte. Fem respondenter intervjuades var för sig mellan den 24:e februari och den 11:e mars 2014. Resultatet visade att det finns utrymme för förbättringar i form av olika sorters stöd till handledare.

An analysis of a specific application of anaerobic wastewater treatment at a pulp and board mill, Stora Enso Skoghall, was carried out. A literature study was done and effluent wastewater from CTMP pulp production was analyzed. The analysis consisted of a broad constituent analysis and an anaerobic treatment trial. Results from these test where used to calculate the treatment effectiveness and resulting energy potential at the mill.The literature study and constituent analysis showed that toxicity of the water to be treated, due to wood extractives and sulphur content, was of concern. Detoxification chemicals targeting these constituents where used in the anaerobic treatment trial.

The thesis handles the principal-agency problem between shareholders and the Chief Executive Officer. The purpose of the thesis was to examine the link between CEO compensation and corporate performance measured as a change in Market to Book ratio. Data was collected from corporate annual reports between the years 2000 ? 2008 and the study covers 39 Swedish companies from the Stockholm Stock Exchange Large Cap list. To examine whether there is a link between the CEO´s compensation and firm performance, we performed a regression analysis, and no significant relation is found.

How can we use modern X-ray technology to raise awareness of the information that is hidden in historic upholstery? The materials and techniques add information to the history object in question and  about a profession that is sparsely documented in our country. The knowledge we have today has largely been obtained by studying damaged upholstery, or by removing the show cover and upholstery, a technique which involves high risk of damaging the upholstery. X-ray technology offers  a non- intrusive way to examine historical upholstery.Through case studies, I examined four artefacts. The artefacts went trough an inititial visual exam before being transported to The National Heritage Board in Visby where they underwent a thorough X-ray exam.

This thesis treats the question of how a political vision is given a concrete form. The Swedish government has defined a view of gender inequality. To change the subordination of women national goals have been established. These give guidelines to the different parts of the administration. The primary scope of this thesis is to analyse the conditions for the implementation of these goals in two parts of the administration, the county administrative board and the local municipal authority.

Vid transport av temperaturkänsliga produkter krävs en förpackning som klarar av att hålla temperaturen inom ett visst intervall så att innehållet inte skadas. Omgivningstemperaturen kan variera mycket under en transport och det är viktigt att förpackning kan kyla passivt utan att påverkas för mycket av omgivningen. Ett typiskt användningsområde för denna typ av förpackningar är inom sjukvård för transport av läkemedel, organ och andra biologiska produkter.Problemet som denna rapport behandlar är att ta fram en sådan förpackning för hingstsperma som skulle kunna skickas med posten. Sperman behövde först kylas ned från rumstemperatur till 5°C under tio timmar innan den skulle hållas vid denna temperatur i ytterligare 24 timmar. För att lösa detta användes en kombination av isolering och fasomvandlingsmaterial vars egenskap att lagra energi gör att en konstant temperatur kan hållas under en längre tid.

The purpose of the study is to investigate and elucidate how and why municipalities cooperate across municipal boundaries with destination development. To answer the purpose the authors chose two research questions:What are the incentives of cooperation between the municipalities in Roslagen? What are the possibilities and difficulties of cooperation? In order to answer the research questions interviews with local business managers, administrative director, the acting Head of destination and tourist office staff were made. Municipalities have signed a cooperation agreement in October/November 2008, where they will work more formal together to strengthen the destination Roslagen. The result of the study shows that the main motive for municipal cooperation is the sharing of financial resources to promote and develop the destination Roslagen together.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att utreda och föreslå strategier för hur bolagsstyrelser kan öka sin mångfald och bli mer diversifierade. Vidare var syftet att undersöka och presentera hur styrelsearbetet skulle påverkas av den ökade diversifieringen. Vi har utfört en kvalitativ studie och använt intervjuer för datainsamling. Det insamlade empiriska materialet har sedan analyserats med utgångspunkt i de valda teorierna. I våra slutsatser kommer vi fram till att styrelsesammansättningen påverkar beslutsfattandet och att en ökad diversifiering ger positiva effekter på styrelsearbetet.

To be able to say something about the relationship between those two actors I have been using two municipalities as examples.

De senaste åren har skolsköterskans roll förändrats till att fokusera på att främja hälsa, i vilket det ingår att stödja barn med behov av särskilt stöd. Syftet med studien var att beskriva skolsköterskors upplevelse av att stödja barn med särskilda behov i grundskolan. Datainsamling gjordes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju skolsköterskor. Tematisk innehållsanalys användes för att analysera intervjutexten och resulterade i två teman: Att uppmärksamma barnen på deras villkor och Att vid varje möte alltid vara närvarande. Temat: Att uppmärksamma barnen på deras villkor hade två kategorier: Att arbeta för alla barns hälsa och lika värde; Att samarbeta för att stödja alla barn att nå sina mål.
