Introduction: Two women die every hour due to pregnancy and childbirth relatedcomplications in Bangladesh. It is well known that a strong midwifery profession is the key toachieving safer childbirth and it is the right of every woman to have access to a fully trainedmidwife and to a safe delivery. However this is not the case in Bangladesh. Today, theexisting nurse-midwives are not fully utilized for the midwifery services. The profession ismal-distributed, functioning as multi-purpose service provider and are not recognized as aseparate cadre of midwives.

Malmö kommuns satsning på genus- och jämställdhetsarbetet? - Blessenius, Ninette & Nilsson, Sara (2010-2011) Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola Då Malmö kommun varje år satsar flera miljoner kronor på arbetet med genus och jämställdhet inom förskolor är syftet med vår undersökning att beskriva och problematisera denna satsning. Vi har använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer när vi intervjuat genuspedagoger samt en samordnare för genusutbildning i Malmö kommun och på så sätt fått svar på våra frågeställningar som är: - Hur organiserar en kommun jämställdhetsarbetet, för att säkra barns jämställdhet oberoende av kön inom kommunens förskolor? - Hur beskriver genuspedagoger sitt uppdrag i Skåneregionen? - Hur kan förskolepersonal i samarbete med genuspedagogen aktivt arbeta med genus och jämställdhet? För att kunna förstå genuspedagogernas arbete utgick vi från en social-konstruktionistisk begreppsapparat. Begrepp som könsroll, könsmönster, genus samt jämställdhet var aktuella för vårt forskningsområde. Den valda teoretiska utgångspunkten innebar att följande resultat blev synliga. Vår slutsats är att satsningen och ett fortsatt arbete med genusmedvetna pedagoger är något som måste fortskrida, för att alla pedagoger ska kunna arbeta efter styrdokumenten för förskolan..

Sara Salman och Maida Gredic (2011). En kvalitativ studie om språkutvecklingen i en förberedelseklass och dess olika undervisningsmetoder. Malmö: Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola. Denna studie handlar om vilka undervisningsmetoder som är mest lämpliga för elever i en förberedelseklass för att utvecklas i det svenska språket på bästa möjliga sätt. Syftet är att lyfta fram två pedagogers sätt att arbeta med barn i en förberedelseklass. Samtidigt vill vi lyfta fram barnperspektivet.

The aim of this master ´s thesis is to understand why there are difficulties in finding joint methods and standards in the field of image indexing. The main focus for interpreting these issues is on Sara Shatford ´s article Analyzing the Subject of a Picture: A Theoretical Approach. In conjunction with today?s increasing competition within the construction sector, more pressure is being placed on building contractors. Efficiency and improvements are necessary but without impairment to an ergonomic and safe construction site. This in is in order to reduce the construction costs and time but to retain the ability to deliver a high-quality contract.Various methods and prefabrication degrees are used, depending on the project's requirements and conditions. This analysis sets out to investigate and exhibit what qualifications are important when choosing a construction method for curtain walls.Advantages and disadvantages with each method have been analyzed and recommendations have been given to show when different methods are best suited.

To complement the study a focus group interview and a company interview have been held.  Conclusion:                        The study showed that the brand has significance for the consumer to a certain extent. The brand can though have an unconscious effect on the consumers since most of the purchases are made by habit.

The aim of this study is to investigate what kind of support unaccompanied children needs when arriving in Sweden, according to the staff that is receiving unaccompanied asylum seeking children in Sweden. The method is qualitative and is based on interviews and previous research. The result shows that the main subjects who were of interest from the interviews are elementary need, the support offered, security, ?parental gestalt?, education, leisure, obstacles in the work.All the interviewees describe young people's needs very different when it differs from person to person. The support children receive is the most important factor that unaccompanied children need to be developed and get a better and safer life.

The aim of this essay is to examine the view on children with disability´s in the end of the 19 Th to the beginning of the 20 Th. We will examine the children that lived in Eugeniahememt but we will also examnie the view the society had on the children who lived on Egueniahemmet. EW26 is a Bachelor thesis carried out by students, Jessica Blomberg, Sara Danielsson and Mikael Johansson, during the academic year 2010-2011 at the Innovation Engineering Program of Halmstad University. The project was conducted in close cooperation with Ergosafe AB.Ergosafe develops, manufactures and sells electric sliding windows. Due to the company?s current expansion phase they want to increase their product range. The company has identified a need for large windows that moves vertically.

Background: The incidence of caesarean section for breech presentation has reached approximately 90 % in Sweden. In many of these cases, by means of specific selection criteria, it would be as safe to plan for vaginal breech delivery. Aim: The objective of this study was to investigate differences in management and to compare maternal and fetal outcomes according to delivery mode of breech presentation; vaginal vs. caesarian section. The study included breech presentation in full term singleton pregnancies at the UppsalaUniversityHospital, Uppsala, Sweden (UAS). Method: The study was based on medical record data with a retrospective, descriptive, comparative design with quantitative approach. The method for data collection was a manual review of patient records using a structured questionnaire. Results: Of the women with children in breech presentation during the period studied, 11 % gave birth vaginally.

In Dar es Salaam, as in many cities in developing countries, green areas are decreasing due to the fact that the growth of buildings, infrastructure and services has become a priority. As the population increases more buildings and infrastructure are needed and much of the building activity takes the form of uncontrolled settlements, which encroaches the public green space. Dar es Salaam has approximately three million inhabitants, of which about 70 percent are living in informal settlements. The aim with this study is to make a design proposal for a park and recreation area where the Msimbazi river basin in the centre of Dar es Salaam is today. The basin consist of a few playing fields, footpaths and some urban farming, but apart from this it mostly consists of unused grasslands, swamps and forests. Because it is an unsafe place and badly connected to the rest of the city infrastructure, it has become a barrier. The annual flood combined with the constant still shallow water creates a good breading ground for malaria mosquitoes.

Engelfors Trilogy is a three-part fantasy novel consisting of Circle, Fire and The key, written by Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgrens. Circle was nominated for the August Prize award 2011, which is a literary prize awarded each year. The book has also been translated into 25 different languages. Fire came out in August 2013 and is the part of the novel that I will concentrate on in these theses. What I will do in this paper is a queer feminist analysis of the novel's main characters in the book Fire.
