Increasing attention is being given to acid sulphate soils wherever they occur. The problems that leaching sulphate soils gives with significant lowerings of pH and mobilization of heavy metals influence large spectra of our society from fisheries to agriculture to construction. Mapping these soils is consequently of great importance and the methods of doing this is very much lacking in function and precision. This study was therefore carried out to investigate whether conductivity in running water can be used as a simple instrument to identify acid sulphate soils in the catchment. 31 coastal streams in the county of Västerbotten were analyzed for different catchment properties such as occurence of marine sediments and basic water chemistry including conductivity and sulphate.

The essay explores nationalism in the curriculum of the swedish school from 1878 to 1994. The text has been undertaken an analysis in three levels of discourse based on Norman Faircloughs critical language analysis. The first level is the text, the second is types of discourses and the third is order of discourse.The nationalism in the curriculum has been related to three nationalistic types of discourses, derived from earlier studies on Swedish nationalism. They are conservative nationalism, ?folkhemsnationalism? and contemporary nationalism.

Denna läroboksanalys är en studie med syfte att undersöka hur stormaktstidens människor skildras i svenska historieläroböcker för mellanstadiet. Detta för att öka medvetenheten kring vad text och bild ger för information om de människor som levde under denna epok i Sverige. Metoden som använts är en kritisk diskursanalys eftersom den lämpar sig väl för att upptäcka eventuella maktstrukturer baserat på texters språkliga uttryck. I den kvalitativa analysen ingår 8 böcker som riktar sig till mellanstadieelever och de kapitel som behandlats är de som berör tiden mellan 1611 och 1718. De böcker som analyserats visar i både text och bild att stormaktstiden i Sverige anses vara en viktig epok i svensk historieskrivning.

Jag har valt ut 12 st. av de bostadsprojekt som jag arbetat med under de senaste tjugo åren. För dessa projekt gäller att jag som arkitekt har haft ett huvudansvar för hela projektet eller delar av det. Jag inleder min text med reflektioner kring några aspekter som styrt mitt arbete och som gäller för alla de 12 projekten. Jag avslutar med en kort beskrivning av de valda projekten, ett för ett.

The purpose of this study is to examine how young people with experience of running away and/or getting thrown out look upon and understand the phenomenon. Another purpose of thestudy is to examine how the youth evaluate the help and support they did or did not receive at the time of their experience, as well as to examine what the ultimate help and support would be according to them. The study was done in a qualitative approach with the use of focus groups and individual interviews. The results were analyzed through the perspective of the ?sociology of childhood?.

In this project we have used the theory of analytical mechanics to derive equations of motion for complex mechanical systems in order to study their behaviour over time. Even if the theory provides powerful tools to tackle tough problems which would be very hard to solve by methods of Newtonian mechanics, you are still relatively limited without running any computer simulations. One realises that in a faster rate it will be an incredibly difficult task to find an analytical solution when the degrees of freedom increases. Even if one would succeed to derive the equations, one still has to solve them to get the information of the systems behavior. Of experience one knows that the equations in general are nonlinear and hence must be integrated numericaly.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze texts written by pupils during the national test in the subject Swedish for grade 9 in order to identify and illustrate how they have met the instructions for the writing task including genre. The texts have been analyzed using Palmér & Östlund-Stjärnegårdh?s (2005) model for student text analysis. This model has been supplemented by studying word and sentence length, as well as indexes for level of readability (LIX) and word variation (OVIX) in order to illustrate possible differences in a gender perspective. The results of this study are in line with previous research, as the girls? texts are longer and more descriptive, while the boys? texts are shorter and show a wider range of word variation.

En undersökning genomförd av Statskontoret, 2005, visar att webbanvändare har önskemål om att lättare hitta information på offentlig sektors webbplatser. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur kommunala webbplatser kan förbättras så att användarna lättare kan hitta den information de söker. Enligt teorier hämtade från området för webbdesign och användbarhet påverkar aspekterna struktur, navigation, design samt text och etikettering möjligheten att hitta på webbplatser. En studie av nio kommunala webbplatser visar att de förevisade teorierna efterföljs i viss mån och i olika utsträckning av de olika kommunerna. Främst förekommer brister inom områdena struktur samt text och etikettering.

In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.

The aim with this study is to conduct a text analysis of 40 texts from www.skrivbanken.se . The texts were written by fifteen year old boys and girls in the school subject Swedish. The texts were analyzed from a gender perspective. The differences in contents, the use of concepts, attitudes towards the imposed information and formality were examined.. The theoretical background on expectations on gender roles was used to construct a framework for analyzing the text. The result shows that there were more differences between the individuals in every sex group rather than between the two groups.

The objective of this research was to study how two newspapers in Sweden, Aftonbladet and Expressen are creating an image of the Stockholm suburb Rinkeby. The method used to do the study was qualitative content analysis. Ten articles were chosen, five off either newspaper and were found on the internet homepages of the newspapers on 15 November of 2013 and 27 January of 2014. Several theories were used in the study. Agenda setting theory, a media theory that explains the power of media, Figuration theory developed by Norbert Elias that deals with power struggles between different groups in society.
