Material- och energiåtervinning är två sätt att ta hand om avfall. Materialåtervinning av papper är generellt det sätt som ger upphov till lägst ackumulerade utsläpp av koldioxid. Kuvert är en pappersprodukt som idag saknar producentansvar och branschen för returpapper anser inte att kuvert skall materialåtervinnas i och med att kuvert innehåller substanser som kan ge upphov till stickies. Ett argument som används mot materialåtervinning av kuvert är att problem orsakade av stickies medför ökade kostnader för företagen som tillverkar papper från returpapper. På den svenska marknaden finns det kuvert som, när de processeras i pappersbruken, inte ger upphov till stickies, nämligen svanenmärkta kuvert.

This paper is intending to examine the intercultural aspects of two teaching aids used in Swedish schools today. How does the material take the students prerequisite in consideration? Is every student included in the material in order with the standpoint and laws in the Swedish school system? And if they are not, who is the outsider in this occasion? With intercultural pedagogy lies the idea that everyone is unique and that teachers has an opportunity to develop and make student grow mentally. Intercultural endeavor is to learn to accept our differences and see them as assets instead. Denna kandidatuppsats har analyserat interna parametrar som påverkarlönsamhetsmåttet RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room/intäkt per tillgängligt rum)för hotellföretag i staden Göteborg. Syftet är att få en djupare förståelse för vilkainterna parametrar som påverkar lönsamhet, samt hur och i vilken utsträckning.Studien baserades på en teoretisk referensram bestående av ?Resource-based view?och flertal tidigare studier inom ämnet. Det senare ledde till ett val av tio internaparametrar, med tillhörande hypoteser för undersökningen. Empirin framställdes avinsamlade värden från ett urval på 34 hotellföretag.

Featured adjuvant chemotherapy treatment in women with breast cancer can lead to pain. The aim of this study was to explore, the variety of perceptions and impact of adjuvantchemotherapy-induced pain in daily life, of some women newly diagnosed with breast cancer.Inclusion criteria were participating in an ongoing stress management projectand chemotherapy of (anthracycline/taxan) in doses of 75mg² or more. Exclusioncriteria were inability to understand and communicate in Swedish and mentalillness. After ethical approval of the sub study in September 2010, women wereconsecutively included through oral and written request. Phenomenologicalapproach was used in the eight interviews and data analysis.

Syftet var att undersöka möjligheten att utveckla ett nytt lättvikts material för användning som skrivbordsskivor. Detta eftersom  en utveckling av lättviktsskivor sparar kostnader för företaget i form av råvaror och transporter  men även samtidigt miljön. Då Edsbyverken har ett flertal produktserier Svanenmärkta har denna miljömärkning tagits i beaktning då materialen valts.  Analyser har gjorts av den svenska kontorsmöbelmarknaden och även undersökningar av material och tekniker anpassade för tillverkning av lättviktsskivor.  Provtryckningar genomfördes med den befintliga skrivbordsskivan som referens och de efter researchen framtagna testämnena jämfördes med denna.  Efter att två slutgiltiga skivförslag valts ut genomfördes slutligen en designfas på hur ett skrivbordsunderrede skulle kunna utformas för att spegla de egenskaper som en lättare skiva har..

In Sweden the most common type of road traffic accidents involving passenger cars are single accidents (where only one vehicle is involved). The aim of this thesis is to analyse how these accidents occur, and present recommendations on how to reduce the number of deaths. Data has been collected from the Swedish Transport Administration?s in-depth studies of fatal accidents. Road traffic accidents with fatal outcome that happened on public roads during the years 2007 to 2009 have been studied.

Background: ?Transitional care? is a new form of care in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Sweden. The level of care, between outpatient and inpatient, has been developed to meet children/adolescents and their families in a different way than in the traditional outpatient and inpatient treatment. The contact offered can be intense with frequent contact and also with more time set aside for every occasion. The nurse, who is one of the categories of personnel involved in the multidisciplinary team works largely in other contexts than in the therapy room at the clinic or on the ward.

Högbytorp is Ragn-Sells? largest waste facility and it is located north of Stockholm. There is an old landfill still in use, but at the end of this year it will be closed. The waste deposited on the landfill can, through decomposition, give rise to a large amount of methane gas, which is an energy rich gas that can be used for heat and electricity production. To receive a relatively large amount of gas, the decomposition requires a high moisture content in the waste.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

There is a need for productivities data and data for different types of machines for comminution of logging residues. The lack of data and studies on GROT comminution makes it difficult to evaluate different chains for handling of residue fuels and make system analyses.Four types of machines with three different working principles were compared at six studies during winter conditions. Three to eleven trials during 9.5 to 30.7 minutes were made on each machine. Samples from the produced material at each study were sieved to determine the size distribution of the comminuted material. Samples were also taken from the studies for determination of moisture content.

Bristen på högvärdigt gödsel är i många låg- och medelinkomstländer betydande då mineralgödsel är kostsamt och svårt att transportera. Material att tillverka biogödsel av finns det dock gott om i form av mat- och trädgårdsavfall samt animaliskt och mänskligt avfall. Dessa material är rika på essentiella växtnäringsämnen som kväve och fosfor. Utmaningen vid användning av dessa material är att de ofta innehåller höga halter av smittförande mikroorganismer vilka är skadliga för både människor och djur. Ska dessa material användas som biogödsel är det viktigt att de patogena mikroorganismerna inaktiverats så att smittor inte sprids i miljön och till livsmedel.Denna studie jämförde tre maskkomposter med tre mesofila komposter med avseende på inaktivering av mikroorganismer samt produktion av ett högvärdigt biogödsel som slutprodukt.

The first part of this essay is about a single-family house that we have planned and projected. Thesecond part is a deeper study in ways to further insulate windows when they are not in use.In the first part the building?s design and its most important construction elements are described.The planning of all major installations (heating, domestic water, ventilation, sanitation, electricity)are reported so that one can in principle start construction of the house. In addition there arecalculations done on the building?s energy management.The result is a two stored house angled toward the south.

Syftet med detta arbete är att belysa elevernas arbete med Internet i skolan, till vad och hur Internet används i skolarbetet. Jag har även undersökt hur och om eleverna granskar det material de får fram över Internet och om de kan använda Internet på ett effektivt sätt. Jag har använt mig av en studie med etnografisk utgångspunkt, det vill säga observationer och informella intervjuer. Resultatet visar på att Internet används i så gott som alla ämnen, huvudsakligen till faktasökning och då på ett mycket fritt sätt. Eleverna granskar nästan inte alls det material de får fram, och de fastnar ofta på mindre relevanta och/ eller mindre lämpliga sidor i sina sökningar..

This report is the result of a project in the course Independent Projekt in Molecular Biotechnology at Uppsala University during the spring of 2014. The foremost purpose of the course is to give students the opportunity to carry through exstensive work in a project environment. This project was formed based on a comission from the biotechnology company SweTree Technologies, and the goal has been to compose a summary of the different techniques and methods that exist in the field of mass propagation of trees through the method of somatic embryogenesis.The project group has obtained information about the area mainly throgh reading patents, trying to find key components and bottlenecks in other companies? somatic embryogenesis technologies. This paper is divided into different sections, containing the patents of the automation of different steps in the process.
