This paper discusses if Margin of Appreciation is compatible with the idea of universal human rights. Through the case of Negative freedom of association in Sweden, it studies the phenomenon that Giorgio Agamben has called the State of exception.The questions that are discussed and answered are 1) How does the rights theories of Jack Donnelly and Ronald Dworkin relate to Margin of appreciation, and 2) How has Margin of appreciation been applied in cases concerning the negative freedom of association in Sweden, in the European court for human rights. These questions and answers are then used in the discussion on how Margin of appreciation affects the concept of universal human rights. .

The firewall is installed between the internal network and the Internet. It is difficult to find a firewall that can protect us against different threats. Firewalls have both advantages and disadvantages and all this make them vulnerable.

Som ett verktyg för organisationer att möta en alltmer komplex omvärld och komplexa problem har Ronald A. Heifetz (1994) utvecklat Adaptive Leadership Theory. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om Adaptive Leadership Theory kunde användas för att få en förståelse för varför kommunikationsproblem återkommer. Frågeställningen var; Kan det undersökta företagets återkommande kommunikationsproblem förklaras, utifrån Heifetz? (1994) teori, med att medarbetarna har identifierat och hanterat dem felaktigt? Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer på en svensk arbetsplats och analyserades enligt en induktiv tematisk analys.

Utgångspunkten för analysen av den första och den sista Harry Potter-boken är att vänskap har stor betydelse. Enligt tidigare forskning har det konstaterats att en utveckling av karaktärerna har skett, därför kommer denna uppsats att fokusera på vad denna utveckling har lett till. Vår syfte är att undersöka relationen mellan Harry, Ron och Hermione och vilken betydelse vänskapen har för händelseförloppet i första och sista boken. Därav har en komparativ metod använts där vi har tagit fasta på en av strukturalismens tankar om att det finns någon slags samband i en text. Analysen är fokuserad kring genetiskt ursprung, roller, förväntningar och kärlek och vad dessa områden har för betydelse för vänskapen.

This essay focuses on the theory of classical realism from two points of views. Realism is often told to be quite immoral and cynical and only interested in the power relations among nations. In the first part I am arguing that this picture is wrong and should be revised. By using the ethical theories of deontology and utilitarianism I am arguing that both these perspectives can be used to analyse classical realism. By defining a value that should be guiding one can assert that realism is a good moral theory.

Vi har de senaste 100 åren höjt vår levnadsstandard väldeliga och tillgodosett alla behov som vi i början av seklet kunnat drömma om. Men trots detta är man som medborgare i Sverige, och i resten av västvärlden idag inte riktigt nöjd. Den ?tysta revolutionen? har börjat ta plats i samhället. Denna revolution innebär att det finns en allt större del av befolkningen som vill få andra aspekter av tillvaron, än de materiella, tillfredsställda.

Uppsatsen handlar om unga kvinnor (födda mellan 1970-75) som socialiserats in i frikyrkan som barn. Vid vuxen ålder bestämmer de sig för att inte längre delta. Deras föräldrar är fortfarande aktiva i församlingsgemenskapen. Uppsatsen bygger på fyra djupintervjuer med unga kvinnor som alla är uppvuxna i Stor-Stockholm. Samtliga berättar om sitt engagemang som barn och orsakerna till att de drog sig ifrån kyrkan.Resultatet är sedan uppdelat i tre kategorier: Värderingar, omsorg och gudsbild.

I boken Patterns of Democracy (1999) påvisar Arend Lijphart att tio institutionella variabler fångar variansen mellan majoritets- och konsensusdemokrati längs två separata dimensioner. Den första dimensionen ? exekutiv-partisystem ? behandlar fem olika arrangemang av den exekutiva makten, parti- och valsystem samt organiserade intressen. Den andra dimensionen ? enhetsstat-federalism ? behandlar den institutionella kontrasten mellan enhetsstat och federa-lism.

This essay concerns the issue of democracy and judicial review. The main focus is on the justification of both a positive and a negative attitude towards judicial review, and the values these justifications are based on. The analysis is made by textual analysis of four authors with different opinions of the subject matter: Robert Dahl and Jeremy Waldron who has a negative attitude towards judicial review, and Erwin Chemerinsky and Ronald Dworkin who are positive about it. In the analysis an analytic frame is used which consists of different dimensions and aspects of the problem of democracy and judicial review. The study shows that there are important differences in democratic values between a positive and a negative justification of judicial review.

The purpose of this study was to examine how five preschool managers are looking at theirleadership and what difficulties they see in their leading. To live up to my purpose I askedthe following research questions: Which parts in their mission do the five preschoolmanagers see as problematic in relation to the curriculum for preschool and the schoolsinspectorate quality investigation? How do the preschool managers describe their leader styleand leader ideals, and is their any difference between the two of them?The method of this study was qualitative interviews with five preschool managers. Theresults that I found was that the most of the preschool managers see their leadership as coproduced(like in Ludvigssons research 2009) with the teachers and that the preschoolmanagers often find other difficulties in their mission compare to the quality investigation(School inspectorate 2012). I also found that three of the five preschool managers thoughtthat they weren?t present enough in the preschools because of their many tasks.When I tried to classify the preschool managers leader style I found that they vary betweendemocratic and authoritarian leader style in decision-making like in Tennenbaum andSchmidt?s (1973, p.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa den kristna högerns engagemang inom politiken i USA. Detta utreds med hjälp av frågorna; hur har den politiska inriktningen i USA påverkats av den kristna högerns engagemang i politiken? På vilket sätt kan den kristna högern ses som en politisk maktfaktor? Vilket eller vilka mål har den kristna högern med sitt politiska engagemang? En diskursanalytisk metod används eftersom den är inriktad på att se förändringar i politiska processer, och den teoretiska ansatsen utgår från de två begreppen makt och diskurs som båda på olika sätt anknyter till diskursanalysen.Resultatet visar att presidenterna i USA, från Ronald Reagan till George W. Bush, har anpassat sin politiska linje efter den kristna högerns intressen. I gengäld har dessa presidenter i valen fått den kristna högerns röster.

Examensarbetet Auktoritär-, demokratisk- eller låt-gå? En studie av tre gymnasielärares ledarroller behandlar lärares ledarroller. Vi har utgått från ett centralt begrepp, ledarroller. I vår studie valde vi metoderna observation och intervju, då vi valde att observera ledarrollen i klassrummet samt göra en kompletterad intervju med tre gymnasielärare. De två metoderna visar tillsammans lärarnas synsätt och vårt synsätt på hur ledarrollen tar form i klassrummet.
