By our employer Camatec Industriteknik AB have we been given the assignment to continue with the previous work ?Design of strip feeder?. Our goal with this work is to come up with a design basis for a strip feeder.Functionally a strip feeder consists of two rollers which with the aid of the friction between the strip and the coating on the roller create a strip force that pulls the strip through the working progress.Demands on this project:? 10 ? 600 mm in strip width and 0,1-1 mm in strip thickness.? Minimum 30m/min in production speed.? A maximum strip force on 30-40 kN.? The cost of the strip feeder?s components is to be considered of economy and quality.The need of a strip feeder occurs when the coil doesn?t manage to feed or pull the strip before or after a working process. The strip can otherwise be exposed by a permanent yield deformation or a change in the strip material if it?s pulled trough the working process only by the on ? and of-coils.

Hägglunds Drives in Mellansel, Sweden, manufacture radial piston hydraulic motors foremostwithin applications in the industry. These motors have several sliding contacts, one of these, isthe contact between piston ring and cylinder bore. The radial piston hydraulic motors advantageis to produce high torque in very low rotation velocity, this result in that the maximum slidingvelocity between piston ring and cylinder bore, during the whole stroke, is very low. Theconsequence of this low sliding velocity is that the contact between piston ring and cylinderbore, during the whole stroke, is bound to the boundary lubrication regime. This result in, thatthe piston ring is exposed to wear, thus affect the service life of the complete hydraulic motor.To minimize wear of piston ring, it is essential to determine the oil film thickness between thepiston ring and cylinder bore.

Utvecklingsavdelningen för hydraulcylindrar på Bosch Rexroth AB har identifierat ett marknadssegment för en lågpriscylinder som kan arbeta med högt tryck. Företaget har idag en lågpriscylinder på marknaden och vill vidareutveckla denna för att klara högre tryck. Detta examensarbete har utförts som en förstudie med syftet att presentera olika konstruktionslösningar av nuvarande cylinders ingående delar, för att erhålla de önskade egenskaperna. Arbetet började med att ingående bryta ner den nuvarande cylindern i mindre delar för analys. Det gjordes även en studie av konkurrenterna och vad deras sortiment har att erbjuda.

Logistic Culmination ? One or Two Sides of the Coin?An Observation From a Different Point of View Logistic culmination can be compared to a stretched rubber band. But if the rubber band was to be let go before bursting, it will instead be contracted.

During the period called Little Ice Age (1400 ~ 1900) the climate of northern Europe was in an annual year-basis overall colder than it was before and after that period. The numbers of short, cold and rainy summers and long, bitter-cold winters where often repetitive under the approximately 500-years the period lasted. In Scandinavia, the coldest time during this period is estimated to have started around the end of the 16th century and lasted to the beginning of the 18th century. Trees growing at the tree-line are limited by temperature for their annual growth and hence showing differences of growth during changes in the climate,  a method called dendroclimatology. The variations of growth can be read in the tree-rings either by analyze the width of the ring or by look into the density of the wood and is used to reconstruct past climates.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på Ferruform AB, Luleå, som är ett helägt dotterbolag till Scania AB. Här produceras bakaxelbryggor, tvär- och sidobalkar samt stötfångare till lastbilar och bussar. Ferruform arbetar ständigt med att förbättra sin produktion och en del i detta förbättringsarbete är att höja den interna kvaliteten och därmed minska slöserier. Ett problem finns idag med att kvalitetssäkra de bakaxlar som kommer från den manuella svetslinen. Syftet med arbetet har varit att identifiera grundorsaker till dessa problem och finna lösningar för att eliminera dem.

The Goal with this Master of Science thesis is to expand the possible turbine efficiencymeasurements on an exhaust turbocharger. It was done as a part of the CICERO competencecentre. To feed the turbine with air a special flow rig has been used. Instead of loading theturbine by just restricting the compressor flow a docking system for an electrical dynamometer isdesigned to use the dynamometer as an additional loading source. By using an electricaldynamometer as loading device for the turbine, measurements are not depending on compressorperformance.A large part of the work consists in designing accessories for the dynamometer.

Miljöfaktorerna som testas är mekaniska, kemiska, elektriska och termiska.De mekaniska miljöfaktorerna innefattar vibrationer, stötar, fall och slag. När vibration och stöttest utförs används en vibrator.

During the transportation of logging residues (LR) the material´s low density is a problem that results in low use of pay-load capacity. Comminution or compression of LR are possible methods to increase pay-loads. In the present thesis studied a bundling machine which was mounted on a truck chassis, and the subsequent transport and crushing. The truck bundler created bundles that were larger and longer than other bundling equipment on the market. The objectives were to determine the total time consumption and its allocation over work element and machinery, to measure dry matter (DM) content of green and brown LR-bundles.
