When an error occurs in an IT system that is vital for the production of a major industry, the consequences can be great. To quickly identify and correct errors is important as a stop in a system can lead to a break in production, which is costly for the industry. Our task in this thesis has been to develop a system for ÅF that facilitates the debugging process of the system Paperline. The system's target audience is ÅF-call personnel that provides support for Paperline 24 hours a day if something goes wrong. The system consists of a Windows service, a database and a web application and is developed mainly with the techniques C#.NET, MVC 5, Google Charts, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Entity Framework.

Arbetet undersöker grafikkortets lämplighet att tolka L-system i realtid. L-system är ett strängomskrivningssystem som beskriver strukturen hos botaniska former. Lsystem tolkas med hjälp av sköldpaddstolkningen för att få en geometrisk tolkning. För att utvärdera om grafikkortet är lämpat att tolka L-system i realtid har två system implementerats. Det ena systemet tolkar L-system på processorn och det andra systemet tolkar L-system på grafikkortet.

Användandet av trådlösa nätverk ökar med rask takt och blir allt vanligare. Enligt en artikel i Computer Sweden kommer de trådlösa näten att ha 20 miljoner användare om 4 år. Analysföretaget Gartner Group har nyligen gjort en undersökning bland företag, vars syfte var att ta reda på hur stort intresset var för WLAN. Resultatet visade att 50% av företagen funderar på att köpa och installera WLAN-lösningar (Planet Wireless september 2001). Syftet med detta arbete var att beskriva hur den inbyggda krypteringsfunktionen WEP som för Wired Equivalent Privacy fungerar och hur säker den är, dvs hur lätt man kan knäcka krypteringen. Följande frågeställningar har besvarats genom litteraturstudier och ett praktiskt försök: Hur är trådlösa nät uppbyggda? Hur fungerar den inbyggda krypteringen WEP och hur säker är den? Vad kan man göra förutom att använda sig av WEP för att skydda sig mot avlyssning/intrång? Det praktiska försöket bestod av att knäcka WEP-krypterade filer med hjälp av programmet WEPCrack.

This thesis primarily includes a study on whether companies can develop a mathematical activity that supports students' motivation in mathematics. The work was done together with Midroc Electro, a company that pays attention to the difficulty of recruiting and therefore was interested in investigating how the business world would be able to contribute.The thesis can be divided into three stages. The first part comprised by a exploration into research on student motivation regarding mathematics as well as numerous interviews with engineers to see how the research findings did fit with Midroc Electros reality. In these studies it became clear that the student who aims for a profession whose education or work requires math belongs to the group of students who primarily manage their studies in mathematics, that is, those that have the greatest motivation to work hard and complete their studies.Research information and interviews were compared and resulted in the thesis second part, Midroc Challenge. An activity where students primarily came to learn about the engineering profession and secondly how mathematics can be used in the engineering profession.

The thesis in product development ? mechanical design includes 15 credits and was carried out during the spring of 2014 at Semcon in Eskilstuna. The task is to construct a special machine for positioning and orientation of a key blank found in six different shapes, the construction is a part of a larger machine for encoding the key blank where a pick- and-place device or robot pick up the key blank and deliver it further in the process. The entire construction is designed for ASSA OEM Gothenburg.In order to accomplish the project the first step was to analyze the existing solutions to similar problems on the market in a current situation analysis to create an understanding of the problem. This was followed by a flow analysis and a functional analysis to get a deeper understanding of the problem and structuring the machine's process flow and its features.

Inadequate data quality has a negative effect for organizations, however utilization of modern technology and data analysis may shape new values for organizations. Our research has found that the quality of information in field reports for error reporting varies significantly. In many cases, the information in the field reports are deficient in such way that the field report need additional information from the sender, thus risking prolonging lead times in the error reporting process. More efficient use of information has become possible with today?s technology.

This thesis is a part of the DySCAS (Dynamically Self-Configuring Automotive System)project which has the overall purpose of creating a middleware for the electronics in an automotive environment. The thesis has been made with collaboration with ENEA AB who is a member of the DySCAS project. ENEA AB has developed a demonstration platform to test the fundamental ideas which the DySCAS project is built on.The purpose of this thesis was to design and implement a GPS application to be added to the demonstration platform. This was done by adding a GPS receiver to the original DySCAS demonstration platform and designing and implementing an application to be able to extract the information from it. The resulting application is able to present cur- rent position and absolute time to the DySCAS networks as services to be used by other applications or by the network it self.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. The company that wanted this system is called Orbit One and is located in Ronneby, Sweden. They have had a problem with old documents circulating in different versions and in different binders.

Axelopererade personer har svårt att röra sig under några veckor efter operationen. Den som bor i glesbygden och blir opererad i axeln eller armen måste regelbundet åka långa sträckor för att besöka sjukvården och bli undersökt. Frågan är om det går att minska dessa bilturer och samtidigt behålla vårdkvaliteten? Man har kunnat reducera patienternas resande till och från sjukvården med hjälp av en enkel videokonferensanläggning som patienten får låna hem. Med denna utrustning kan patienten upprätta videomöten med vårdpersonalen istället för att åka till sjukvården.

The increase of complexity in embedded programming is forcing the development of higher level programminglanguages. These languages not only consist of traditional text based programming but also with graphical programminglanguages such as the programming language G from LabVIEW which is developed by National Instruments and havebeen around since the mid eighties. However since 2004 this language has also been able to program embeddedhardware, using the modules LabVIEW SDK and LabVIEW for ARM. This thesis shows how LabVIEW for ARM converts itsgraphical language G to C and then how C is flashed into the microprocessor. The thesis also takes up the pros and consof using G for embedded development.

Det finns olika sorters mobila system, däribland webbaserade och plattformsspecifika system.Den här rapporten innehåller en förstudie för olika tillvägagångssätt för att skapa en mobil version av ett system. Rapporten redogör för olika tekniker som kan användas beroende på vilket system som önskas överföras, samt vilken målgruppen är. Rapporten beskriver också hur framtagandet av ett mobilt system för olika mobila plattformar har skett för ett redan befintligt system..

This thesis work has been performed at the Division of Assembly Technology at Linköping University for a period of ten weeks. The work is part of the project ProFlexA, which is a research project in collaboration between Linköping University, Lund University, and industrial partners such as Combi Wear Parts and Smålands Stålgjuteri AB.The casting process creates random incurred burrs and defects, which must be removed during a cleaning process to make sure that the cast can be sold. Automation has long been sought for the cleaning of castings due to, among other things, poor working conditions for staff, but this has proved difficult to implement with today's technology. Automation has for some time been available for more capital strong companies with large annual volumes, but for smaller companies with small-and medium-sized volumes, automation has not been an option.The goal of ProFlexA is to develop an automated cleaning cell aimed at small-and medium-sized volumes.The goal of the thesis is to do a pre study at ProFlexA?s partners on cleaning of castings, and develop concepts for automated cleaning of castings.By recording the process and cycle times, the cleaning of castings has been documented as it works today, and on this basis, information and statistics has been compiled.

This thesis examines if commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) systems meet the needs in different types of organizations. This was investigated through a case study of a COTS system. The system is built for contact centers and used in different types of organizations. Contextual inquiries with users from six different organizations were held together with interviews with stakeholders of the system. This gave an understanding for how the system is used and the needs to be met in the different organizations were recognized.

Verkstadsföretaget System 3R i Vällingby tillverkar den kundanpassade roboten WorkPartner 1+ sedan september 2011 och önskar sänka ledtiden för tillverkningen. De vill även öka produktionstakten från ca fyra till sex robotar per månad. För att lyckas med detta måste processerna för att ta fram och montera roboten effektiviseras. Fokus för studien är att eliminera slöserier och effektivisera planering, inköp och montering. Under studien kartläggs de olika processerna, därefter analyseras nuläget och slutligen läggs förslag fram på hur dessa processer kan förbättras.

Dagens industrirobotar är mycket mer komplexa än vad de var för några år sedan. Regleringen baseras på matematiska modeller och för att prestandan ska var lika bra eller bättre än förr krävs det att modellerna är anpassade till individen. Det krävs därför att modellparametrarna justeras för att stämma överens med den aktuella roboten.Rapporten handlar om hur de flexibla modellparametrarna ska trimmas för robotens leder så att verktygets svängningar minskar. På grund av att en rörelse på en axel påverkar de övriga axlarna, blir detta ett sexdimensionellt minimeringsproblem. Detta kan dock lösas genom att låsa vissa leder i olika positioner och på så sätt delas minimeringen upp i flera steg med som mest tre variabler att minimera över.
