The advantage and the possibility of keeping track of a number of vehicles to make work practice more effective and smooth is today a favorable choice for Visual Units Logistics customers. We?ve been evaluating the software and trying to take it one step further and letting not only the individual user, but maybe, the company as a whole benefit from its advantages. This has been done by using methods like letting ourselves get to know the software, user case studies, workplace studies, interviews and future workshops. This resulted in a prototype introducing a new function designed with all collected data in mind trying to make the software, Visual Units Logistics, even more effective for the every day work practice of the user. The city of Uppsala and its surroundings are a very expansive area. A prerequisite for a sustainable development of the area is well-functioning supply of drinking water. In Uppsala municipality, the Uppsala esker and Vattholma esker are the groundwater storages for drinking water. Besides the eskers, other sources of qualitative groundwater in the Uppsala municipality are relatively poor and more than half of the area consists of ground conditions with a risk of saline groundwater. The neighbourhood of Vreta-Ytternäs is situated 10 km south of Uppsala, in the area with risk of saline groundwater but outside the municipal water supply.

The thesis explores the Uncovered Interest rate Parity (UIP) and the possibility of cross-currency arbitrage between England, Germany and Sweden. The data is gathered between May 1999 and December 2005 on a monthly basis and is compared using simple regression analysis. The aim is to find out whether UIP holds and, if it does not, a risk premium exists that makes it possible to make arbitrage gains on moving capital between England, Germany and Sweden. It is discovered that UIP does not hold and that cross-currency arbitrage possibilities exist. Det finns stora skillnader mellan den domesticerade och den vilda hästens foderstat. Den största och mest markanta skillnaden är att den domesticerade hästens foderstat till stor del består av stärkelse från spannmål då detta ingår i kraftfoder. Fång är också en foderrelaterad sjukdom där de mest framträdande symtomen är smärta i hovarna.

En svårt sjuk patient som vårdas på en intensivvårdsavdelning, med svikt i ett eller flera organsystem, löper betydande risk att drabbas av malnutrition med ökad risk för infektioner och längre vårdtider. När en väl utarbetad riktlinje inom nutrition följs ökar patientens möjligheter att nå upp till sitt kalorimål med minskad malnutrition och förkortade vårdtider som följd. Syftet med studien var att undersöka följsamheten till en befintlig riktlinje om nutrition på en intensivvårdsavdelning i västra Sverige med hjälp av journalgranskning. Ett konsekutivt urval gjordes och 31 uppfyllde inklusionskriterierna. Journalerna granskades enligt deskriptiv analys.

Malnutrition är ett välkänt problem inom akutsjukvården. Det finns flera orsaker till malnutrition, bland annat olika sjukdomstillstånd som ger nedsatt aptit. Syftet var att undersöka om sjuksköterskor har tillräcklig kunskap om malnutrition och hur sjuksköterskan identifierar patienter med risk för malnutrition i akutsjukvården. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar användes som grund till studien. Resultatet presenteras i tre rubriker, malnutrition på sjukhus, nutritionsscreening samt brist på kunskap.

Reasons for performing this study: Colic has for a long time been seen as a serious health problem in the equine population. Even so, the knowledge of colic seems to differ a great deal among the people interacting with horses. A large number of studies have for several years looked at risk factors that cause colic, in order to provide knowledge about them. The knowledge can then be used as tools for developing prophylactic methods in order to reduce the number of horses that develop colic. Objectives The aim with this study was to investigate if people have the correct knowledge about colic in horses, which risk factors that cause colic today and describe prophylactic methods that can result in avoidance of colic in horses. Method Eleven veterinary practices were contacted in order to send out two questionnaires for a study of six weeks.

The first main purpose of this essay is to describe the situation of young women today here in this part of the world concerning influences from commercial media.The second purpose with this essay is to investigate if dance could be used as a tool against all these sterotyped and superficial pictures and ideals in the industy of commersial media.With some questions I also want to get closer to the answer if dancing is a way for young women to get insight knowledge. I also describe women from dance history who experienced that dance filled them up with energy but also environment where there was oppression.This essay has a gender perspective.The methods are manly based on literature studies but information is also gathered from the Internet and from one film.My results are that dance is a very constructive way to give the young woman that force which is needed when meeting media pictures everywhere. This thesis is concerning private brands on special display. ICA Gott Liv! was used as a study object and a latin square design was employed, using 2 ICA Kvantum stores. Two displays were built in order to compare which created the most awareness and interest, one with the best selling Gott Liv! product and one with four randomly chosen Gott Liv! products. The data was collected using triangulation, questionnaires, sales data and observations were conducted in the two stores. The results indicated that private brands works as well as manufacturer brands on special display and a display with four randomly chosen products creates more interest and higher sales than the display with the best selling product..

Sexual risk-taking among teenagers has rapidly increased and only during the last decade the existence of Chlamydia has more than tripled. The future is facing big challenges to cope with the problem. Though the big efforts made on preventive work, Chlamydia continues to spread. The study aims to examine the existing attitudes towards sexual risk-taking among teenagers. The central mode of procedure is to use qualitative focus group interviews, and is complemented with a quantitative survey. A total of 30 teenagers, 15 boys and 15 girls, age 16-20, are participating from three different high schools in Gothenburg.

Den svenska fondmarkanden har haft en enorm utveckling de senaste tio åren med en kraftigt ökad fondförmögenhet och en börs med både signifikanta upp- och nedgångar. Den höga volatiliteten på marknaden föranleder att både fonderna och deras förvaltare bör analyseras noga, bland annat för att analysera hur fonderna hanterar aktiv avkastning. Ett område som är specifikt intressant att studera i relation till avkastning är hur förvaltare ändrar sin risk som en direkt effekt av förvaltarens prestation. Sambandet antas vara kopplat till hur förvaltare blir kompenserade samt hur fondinvesterare agerar i olika avkastningssituationer. Tidigare studier från den amerikanska marknaden visar på att när en fond presterar relativt sätt ?dåligt? och avviker negativt från sitt jämförelseindex riskerar förvaltaren inte något personligen.

Studien undersöker hur matematiska begrepp etableras i diskursen i klassrummet och hur lärare planerar för, iscensätter och bearbetar matematiska begrepp. Studiens syfte är att studera hur lärare hanterar matematiska begrepp i undervisningen ur ett specialpedagogiskt perspektiv. Utifrån studiens ansats väljs två kvalitativa datainsamlingsmetoder. Till detta infogas Selander & Kress (2010) formellt inramad lärsekvens och Hallidays (2004) tre metafunktioner och en ny metafunktion, den institutionell funktion (Boistrup- Björklund, 2010). Studien visar att procedurkunskap har en stor plats i undervisningen. Lärarna hanterar begrepp i förbifarten och funderar inte på vilken roll de språkliga uttrycken har.
