Möbius sequence is a rare condition where affected cranial nervesoften lead to speech deviations due to reduced oral motor functioning. Thisstudy aimed to survey speech deviations, compensatory strategies and selfperceptionof speech in seven people with Möbius sequence, and to linkthese to oral motor function and intelligibility. Additionally, the immediateeffects of smile surgery were investigated in one person. The abovementioneddomains were studied instrumentally, perceptually and throughstructured interviewing. All participants displayed reduced oral motorfunction.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the established law and make researches into non-institutional compulsory care (?mellantvång?) paragraph 22 The Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (from now on called LVU) and examine whether the administration of the law is in harmony with the best interests of the child.This paper combines two methods : traditional judicial method and a social science method. In the juridical part the sources of law have been studied and in the social sciences part semi-structured interviews have been conducted with five respondents. The theoretical framework consists of ideas and theories about the best interests of the child, a concept which is one of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child's core principles.This study shows that the legislator has identified a problem and an existing need and found a solution to this by introducing a non-institutional compulsory care, paragraph 22 LVU. The problem is that Social Services do not make use of the restraint.

The purpose of this study is to investigate which types of cultural capital gives high status in the current field of ?the creative industry? ? a group which could be seen as a new power elite in Gothenburg ? and how people with the ?right? cultural capital is included in the field. The author is invited to several free events within this field, and is investigating the process of inclusion with an auto-ethnographic method. The study will show that the process of inclusion is working quite absolute in the field of the creative industry, and that the audiences are mainly homogenous: masculine, white, middle class, has a taste disposition of the ?eclectic omnivore?, has entrepreneurial knowledges and is an active social media agent.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka tydligheten i den tidigare kursplanen för Svenska A i Lpf94 och den nya kursplanen för Svenska 1 i Gy11 i en jämförande studie samt att undersöka hur svensklärare på gymnasiet upplever skillnader i tydlighet i kursplanerna för Svenska 1 och Svenska A. Den valda metoden för studien var komparativ textanalys och kvalitativ intervjustudie där tre gymnasielärare ingick. Resultatet för studien visade att kursplanen för Svenska 1 är något tydligare gällande disposition, kravformulering och innehållsbeskrivning av kursen. Båda kursplanerna visar på exempel på vaga formuleringar som lämnar utrymme för tolkning. Lärarnas uppfattning av kursplanerna är att kursplanen för Svenska 1 är något tydligare än kursplanen för Svenska A samt att arbetet med betygsättning och bedömning kommer att underlättas i och med den nya kursplanen Svenska 1..

Syftet med vår undersökning har varit att ta reda på sex svensklärares uppfattningar om gymnasie- och komvuxelevers skriftspråkliga förmåga. Syftet har även varit att undersöka dessa lärares uppfattningar om högskolans skriftspråkliga krav och förväntningar, samt hur de uppfattar att de förbereder sina elever för att möta dessa krav. Undersökningen har baserats på sex kvalitativa intervjuer, vilka senare analyserats enligt en fenomenografiskt inspirerad analysmetod, som syftar till att ta reda på uppfattningar snarare än objektivt verifierbara fakta. Resultatet har visat att lärarna upplever att deras elevers skriftspråkliga förmåga har blivit sämre de senaste åren. Det visar sig också att lärarnas uppfattningar om högskolans krav och förväntningar är vaga. Förberedelserna inför högskolan tenderar att ofta handla om formalia, såsom disposition, referatteknik och källhänvisningar och hur man använder sig av dessa vid vetenskapligt skrivande..

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Ahlstrom Cores AB som tillverkar spirallindade pappershylsor vid tre anläggningar i Sverige. Pappershylsor används främst vid tillverkning av papper av olika kvalitéer och företagets kunder använder då hylsorna till att linda upp det färdiga pappret på. Råvaror vid tillverkningen är hylskartong av olika kvalitéer och bredder samt lim. Rapporten behandlar två separata uppgifter. Den första och större av de två är att utforma ett nytt system för styrning av råvarulager och den andra är att förbättra materialflödet vid en av företagets anläggningar.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka de val, inslag och strategier som präglar nyanlända flyktingars vardag. För att kunna uppfylla syftet har fyra flyktingar intervjuats och uppsatsens disposition har strukturerats efter det som de upplevt som relevanta inslag i vardagen. Samtidigt med att intresset för traditionell religion mattats av i västvärlden har det skett en tillväxt av en holistisk, individualistisk och framstegsoptimistisk andlighet, så kallad nyandlighet eller new age. Psykologisk forskning har visat att anhängare av denna andlighet på gruppnivå har en profil som eventuellt korrelerar med ohälsa. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur anhängarna förhöll sig till människans existentiella villkor, så som dessa kan formuleras utifrån psykoanalysen. Intervjuer med elva anhängare genomfördes under hösten 2009. Analysen visade att informanterna i hög grad underkände dessa villkor eller begränsningar vilket kan tolkas i samma riktning som tidigare forskningsresultat.

Hip dysplasia is a common, inherited malformation of the coxofemoral joint that eventually leads to osteoarthrosis. Several breeds of dogs are affected and the prevalence varies between different breeds. As part of the effort to reduce the prevalence of hip dysplasia and select dogs suitable for breeding, radiological screening is performed by at least 12 months of age. Before the radiological examination the dog has to be chemically restrained, sedated or anesthetized. The sedation protocol used differs between veterinary clinics. The impact of sedation method of the screening result for hip dysplasia has been studied.

The object of this study is the female user of amphetamines and the characteristica which she is often described by. Many of these descriptions regard the female amphetamine user's sexuality which also have come to form the assumption that these women make a living from having sexual relations with men in exchange of drugs.In order to be able to draw any kind of conclusions regarding this, we found it necessary to investigate how the stereotypical female user of amphetamines makes a living and also whether it is possible for a female drug user to decide for her self how to support her habit.The disposition is a qualitative study of literature and the perspectives that we focused on in this study are gender roles, relationships and sexuality, criminality and finally the drug using woman as a victim. The theories used deal with social constructivism, respectability and shame.The main discussion of our study has been how women amphetamine users are moulded to become victims through interaction with other people but also with the society as a whole..

The purpose of this essay is to examine the origin of generalized trust. We compare existing theories on trust to determine what approach is more fruitful in explaining the prevalence, or absence, of trust. Our conviction is that trust should be viewed as an interaction, rather than a disposition or a rational choice. The sample is based on the countries of the OECD. In total, five different hypotheses are tested: i) that generalized trust is created by equal distribution of income, ii) that generalized trust is created through monitoring of the state, iii) that generalized trust is created through rule by law; iv) that generalized trust is created when the welfare apparatus is guided by principles of universalism; or iv) that generalized trust is created when the state integrates trust networks.
