Industries with energy costs as a large proportion of their total costs are greatly affected by the instruments deployed to cope with the Swedish climate and energy policy goals. With energy costs representing more than 30 % of the total costs, tomato cultivators are one of the affected industries. In order to remain competitive with other countries, a more Resource- and cost-efficient cultivation of tomatoes in greenhouses is desirable in Sweden. Based on the concept of industrial symbiosis, this study investigates the prerequisites for a Resource-efficient production of locally grown tomatoes in Sweden through the utilization of low grade industrial waste heat. The study is based on the foundry industry as the supplier of waste heat.To investigate the environmental, technical and economic potential of the exchange of waste heat, a comparative life cycle assessment, an inventory of the supply of industrial waste heat in Sweden, a compilation of potential technologies for the recovery of low grade industrial waste heat for heating greenhouses and a comparative life-cycle cost calculation were carried out.

The aim of this study was to examine women shelters conditions as an organization and how these conditions affect their work with children who have experienced family violence and live in their shelters. In order to achieve a more profound and comprehensive view of the women shelters and their work with these children we selected to execute a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews with collaborators from nine different shelters in Sweden. We found that the women shelter as a non-governmental organization was bicameral and complex where their work with children distinguishes on several areas. We discovered that the women shelters were an organization, affected and formed by its environment. From our empiricism we could distinguish differences on a municipality level where collaborations with schools and social services occur in a Resource guided hierarchy which influences the women shelters work with children.

The documented benefits of working with industrial symbiosis indicate that there is potential for companies to operate commercially with facilitation of industrial symbiosis. An interesting company to study within this context is Econova. Econova operates within the recycling and gardening industry and has been identified as a possible catalyst for industrial symbiosis.

The purpose of this essay ("Gateway to the Past. An archaeological quality controlled subject gateway as a Resource for higher education in Lund") is to examine how a quality controlled subject gateway could increase the quality of the information supply for the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University. The essay gives a brief background to subject gateways and also describes the Department and its subjects (prehistoric archaeology, medieval archaeology, osteology and classical studies) . The essay consists of a questionnaire distributed to parts of the target group as well as an investigation of three particular subject gateways: NordArk, ARGE and The Labyrinth. The essay also contains an exposition of how archaeologists seek information, of the structure of the archaeological subjects and of classification systems for quality controlled subject gateways.

The market for management consulting services is changing with an increased level of competition and more specialized service providers. At the same time there is a high level of companies that fail in their efforts to establish themselves on the market. This thesis sets out to give the reader an increased understanding of the complex characteristics of the market for these services, focusing more specifically on which factors that have an effect on the strategy development for companies within the industry. The thesis is also aimed at providing the reader with a deeper understanding of how developing consulting companies can tackle the specific challenges facing them. In order to meet the purpose of the thesis, we have applied relevant theories to a generic strategy model in order to develop a model that is applicable for the management consulting industry.

Jag skall i denna uppsats undersöka hur oljeboomen i Kazakstan, vilken inleddes under slutetav 90-talet, har påverkat landet ekonomiskt, politiskt och socialt. Jag har min utgångspunkt ilitteraturen kring begreppet Resource curse, som behandlar de problem som länder med storanaturtillgångar ofta dras med. Fokus ligger på teorin kring holländska sjukan, vilken pekarmot att övrig exportindustri tenderar slås ut när det sker en kraftig expansion inomoljeindustri. More than half of the implemented IT-projects go over budget, deadline or simply fail. The processes in an IT-project requires technical competence to be present among the project participants to ensure the achievement of business goals and to make organisations competitive. The success of an IT-project largely depends on the project manager which makes it interesting to further investigate what impact the project manager?s technical competence has on the project. Previous research shows differing opinions whether technical competence is considered important for the project manager to be successful or not.

Vi ämnar kartlägga arbetet kring varumärkesstrategier hos Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers, avsedda för att attrahera, behålla och utnyttja kompetent personal. Vårt syfte blir således att undersöka företagets ?employer brand?, samt hur det påverkar organisationens interna arbetsprocesser och positionering på kompetensmarknaden. Uppsatsen är av kvalitativ och kartläggande fallstudiekaraktär och vi har använt oss av en induktiv undersöknings ansats. Primärdata utgörs av intervjuer med representanter från fallföretaget samt en expertintervju.

Föreliggande studies syfte är att skapa förståelse för hur en organisation på ett bra sätt kan lokalisera, rekrytera och utveckla personer som kan förmedlas som arbetskraft. Studiens övergripande frågeställning är; Vilka förutsättningar ligger bakom framgångsrikt personalarbete inom ett bemanningsföretag, med grupper som är svårintegrerade på arbetsmarknaden? För att besvara frågeställningen har vi genomfört en kvalitativ fallstudie av ett bemanningsföretag som lyckas med detta arbete.

According to the curriculum the teachers have a responsibility to adjust the activities in the classroom in order to suit the pupils and to give them the means of assistance the pupils need to be successful in their learning. The teachers should also stimulate the interest to learn and support the pupils? self esteem. One of the problems a dyslectic pupil faces is an often weak self esteem. Another is the weak phonological awareness which makes it hard to fully understand the context and to recognize different phonemes when writing.
