To describe your profession can sometimes be hard. Everyone knows what a music teacher is and what her work includes. But what about a eurhythmic teacher - who knows what she does? By experience my answer is: not many. Inthis essay I have outlined differences in method and lecture planning between a eurhythmic and a music teacher, to be able to find out the answer to my research question - what a eurhythmic teacher can contribute to the school subject music.I chose an observation research where I observed a mixed class with children from fourth and fifth grade.

The United States is one of few Western nations that administers capital punishment to their condemned criminals. Texas has executed the most inmates of any state in the U.S. This prompted questions about the psychological characteristics of death row inmates. The purpose of this essay is to widen the perspective on inmates serving capital sentences by analyzing their final statements. The focus of this essay was centered on acute anxiety of death among inmates, visible in their final statements, as a result of an accelerated process of dying.

The use of hallucinogenic plants has throughout human history been used for religiouspurposes, in order to induce mystical states of mind, often interpreted as meeting with godsand spirits. In recent years, this practice has been taken up by people interested in theexploration of their psyche and spiritual side. This group of people, referred to as?psychonauts?, communicate with each other through internet based forum, where theyshare their experiences in so called ?trip reports?. The aim of this study was to see whatrole psychedelic drugs can play when used in a spiritual/religious context, and whetherthese sorts of mystical states of mind could tell us about more traditional mysticalexperiences.

Uppsatsen utgår från en, av mig genomförd, utvärdering av ett arbetsmarknadspolitiskt projekt för långtidsarbetslösa. Relationen mellan coach och arbetslös klient visade sig ur många avseenden vara positiv för den arbetslösa. Jag fann det dock begränsade att enbart studera relationen ur detta perspektiv. Jag valde således att studera relationen ur ett kritiskt perspektiv med fokus på relationen mellan coach och klient.Syftet med uppsatsen är: att med utgångspunkt i en genomförd utvärdering av ett arbetsmarknadspolitiskt projekt för långtidsarbetslösa, kritiskt granska ett coachingförfarande med avseende på coachklientrelationens påverkan på klientens lärande.Mats Alvessons kritiska teori har används som metodologisk utgångspunkt och utifrån det som framkommit ur dessa kritiska tolkningar har en teoretisk referensram kopplats som använts som främsta analysredskap. Analysen har gjorts främst på de intervjuer som genomfördes med coacherna under utvärderingen av projektet.De tolkningar som gjorts av materialet visade att ojämlikheter i vissa fall uppkommit mellan coach och klient.

The aim of this study is to analyze the construction of "Christian masculinity" during the modern era. This is made in opposition to earlier research that has claimed that masculinity could not be constructed religiously, that is, without at the same time being constructed as effeminate or anti-masculine.Using a wide variety of theoretical concepts - such as discourse analysis, class, secularisation, masculinity as constructed from countertypes, and finally masculinity as a homosocial construction - I analyze a free church in Sweden, the Scanian Missionary Society (Skånes Missionssällskap), during the period of ca 1939-1945 (the society was a district of the Swedish Covenant Church, or Svenska Missionsförbundet), in order to argue for the standpoint that masculinity, in fact, could be constructed religiously. The contents of the school subject religion in Sweden, has gone through a radical change during the past century. With an origin of only treating Christianity and being a major cultural and social actor, it has developed into more of a multicultural and philosophical subject. The fact that the subject no longer has cultural recognition makes it more abstract and harder for students to relate to. Additionally, religion is experienced as a rather dull subject in school. My essay is therefore written to provide teachers encouragement of interest for religious education, by using humor. The well-known psychologist Jean Piaget claims play to be a prime state of learning.

Abstract:Styrdokument i musikämnet-En komparativ studie av norska och svenska styrdokument i Musikämnet i skolan.(Music Subject governing documents- A comparative study of Norwegian and Swedish policy documents in the Music subject in school)The purpose of this study is to compare the Norwegian and Swedish policy documents on teaching in the Music topic. The comparison also applies to the requirements which have been in Sweden over time. In comparison, the policy document LGR 11 from Sweden, analyzed, and the governing documents MUS1-01 and R94 from the Norwegian School.The main issue in the study is: How does the policy documents for the topic music in Sweden, compared to Norway? In order to answer the question, I compared the above-mentioned policy documents and set in relation to the musical substance is designed in Norway and Sweden.In curriculum theory treats one problem based approaches in structural functionalism, pragmatism, social epistemology and post structuralism. The starting points are then used to explore various relationships between curriculum theory and didactics.The principal researcher and proponent of curriculum theory is Ulf Lundgren.

In the prison of Kumla, Sweden`s highest security classified institution, spiritual retreats are pursued since 2001. The aim is to offer the inmates a possibility to enter deeply into spiritual contemplation. This spiritual contemplation is made possible through the fact that the prisoners carry out a retreat designed after guidelines written by Ignatius of Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises. The purpose of this examination is to study how ordinary institutional life in comparison to monastic life defines and creates different attitudes and roles amongst the inmates. A secondary aim is to describe the consequences of the retreat on individual basis.

Vilka diskurser ger elever och lärare uttryck för i pianoundervisning? Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur pianoelever och pianolärare på kulturskolan och inom ett studieförbund genom språket ger uttryck för en mängd förhållningssätt och attityder. Vad sägs i samtalen kring deras undervisning och vilka diskurser och tankekollektiv bildar dessa åsikter tillsammans? Jag har använt mig av fyra djupgående intervjuer och två videodokumentationer för att dels studera elevernas och lärarnas uttryckta upplevelser men också för att ta del av det som verkligen sker under lektionstid. Teoretiska utgångspunkter har utgjorts av kritisk diskursanalys, institutionsbegreppet och interaktionsteori.

Uppsatsen har sin grund i fenomenografin som metod. Detta ger ett innehåll bestående av variationer i uppfattningar kring fenomenet kompetens. Teoretiskt beskrivs vägen för analysen genom beskrivningar och giltighet angående kunskapsutveckling, kompetens och de lärande.Studieobjektet definieras genom några kunskapsintensiva verksamheter vilka valts ut inom den samhällsplanerande sektorn i det svenska samhället. Empiriskt bygger datamaterialet på intervjuer med åtta representanter från tre olika organisationer vilka fungerar som respondenter i studien.Min uppfattning är att kompetens fordrar ett synsätt som innebär kunskapsutveckling. Därför förs ett teoretiskt resonemang kring några faktorer vilka kan betraktas påverka synen på kunskap och kunskapsutveckling: kunskapsbegreppet, handlingsutrymme att nå "rätt kunskap" och dess relation till olika tidsfaser, sociala situationer, sociala grupper och därmed till de internaliserade normer som där gäller för kompetens.En teoretisk diskussion förs kring möjligheten att identifiera och definiera kompetens i en verksamhet genom tre infallsvinklar - dess sakinriktning, identifikationsinriktning och målinriktning det vill säga vad som görs, hur det görs, varför det görs och vem som gör det.

The right to freedom of conscience is protected by international conventions and declarations of human rights that have been ratified by Sweden. Nationally, the issue of health professionals? right to freedom of conscience in the abortion care is not resolved by public inquiry. This has led to that Sweden has been notified to the European Committee of Social Rights on the grounds that the country is considered to be violating the Council of  Europe Resolution 1763 and that the proper question to be determined by regulations of the interests that are balanced, based on their legal value in relation to each other. Freedoms, rights and obligations conflict with each other.

Today in Sweden the concept of the greyzone students that stands between the nine-year compulsory school and special school for mentally retarded children is recognised in different studies and reports. It is not obvious for this group of students to decide which category best can comply with their needs. Should they go in nine-year compulsory school or special school for mentally retarded children? In the last years there have been alarming rapports about how the share of students in special school increases. A study shows that the greyzone students are a group that distinctly is on the increase in the special school.

This is a study of the work of a Danish music teacher at a free school (grade 1 9) in Copenhagen. The teaching is based explicitly on playing in ensemble and the pupils play at a high artistic level compared to a normal school. Data collection was made during three days with the help of observation, video recording and qualitative interviews. The report contains video clips where the pupils and the teacher play together. The great differences between this model of teaching and the normal, lie in the teacher participation in the music making, the central role of the rhythms, the early start (grade two), the form of songs and arrangements and the lack of notation in favor of music making by ear.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att undervisa i musik och ensemblespel på en anstalt och studera vilka effekter undervisningen har på internernas aggressiva beteende och destruktiva tänkande. Aktionsforskningen baseras på teorin om att ensemblespel även är en utmanande och effektiv gruppsykologisk övning. Situationen tvingar dig att ta ansvar för din uppgift i gruppen i realtid. Den negativa, kollektiva konsekvensen av en persons misstag är snabb och konkret. Studien vill se om musik och ensembleundervisning kan användas i såväl träningen av interners samarbetsförmåga och tolerans som ett verktyg för interners utveckling inom kognitivt beteendeterapi.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att få ökad kunskap om nyexaminerade lärares möte med sina nya arbetsplatser och att mer specifikt se på kopplingen mellan lärarutbildningens olika delar och yrkeslivet. Frågor som har behandlats var om lärares socialisation in i läraryrket, pedagogiska teorier i lärarutbildningen och praxisnära teorier i yrkeslivet.Uppsatsen har sin grund i en fallstudie från 2006 där studenter under sin sista termin på lärarutbildningen har intervjuats, och därifrån har vi gått vidare med en ny fallstudie där lärare som har varit ute i yrkeslivet ett till två år har intervjuats. Vid de senare intervjuerna har även en didaktisk analys/observation gjorts före intervjutillfället. För att få en uppfattning om studenters syn på det teoretiska innehållet i lärarutbildningen har även en enkät med en öppen fråga gjorts.Uppsatsen har visat på att kraven som ställs på lärarutbildningen är höga och motsägelsefulla. Staten betonar akademisering av utbildningen.
