The purpose of this study is to examine and compare librarian profession with different professional theories. The intention is to describe how the librarian profession meets the different professional criteria and to what extent the librarian profession can be said to be professional in expertise, service and autonomy. Nolin?s modern theory provides an opportunity to analyze occupational groups based on professionalized basic concepts. The analysis of relevant material showed that the librarian is a service profession with high skills, but does not hold a high degree of autonomy.

I detta arbete har jag valt att intervjua representanter från 5 större företag som är ledande inom sitt verksamhetsområde. Syftet med denna rapport är att belysa intranätansvarigas syn på de problem och risker som kan uppkomma med intranät som elektronisk informationsmedium. De risker och problem som jag har tittat på är om det finns en risk för en användare att missa relevant information, få tillgång till för mycket information samt utsättas för för mycket information i ett intranät. Information har samlats in via intervjuer och litteraturstudier.Undersökningens slutsatser handlar i stort om de åtgärder som ett företag kan vidta för att förhindra att eventuella risker och problem skall uppkomma. Den viktigaste åtgärden är utbildning av den vanliga användaren.

This study focuses on nationalism in Central and Eastern Europe. Anchored in theories that this region historically has been characterized by a nationalism that is based on the ethnic group rather than on liberal or civic concepts, it is the purpose of this study to explore whether these theories still apply in recent times when the region has been liberalized, for example manifested in the entry to the European Union. The research question has been tested through analysis of the constitutions of a number of Central and Eastern European countries in order to investigate what type of nationalism that the states have codified in their basic political documents. The results show that some of the states give expression to the historical ethnic nationalism in their constitutions, which indicates that the theories still are relevant..

Uppsatsens fokus ligger på pedagogers bruk av icke-verbala signaler i undervisningssituationer. Syfte är att undersöka vilka dessa signaler är, samt att besvara frågeställningen ? om och hur dessa icke-verbala signaler används. Tidigare forskning inom ämnet samt för ämnet relevant litteratur presenteras och lyfts fram i uppsatsen som sedan knyter an sin egen undersökning till tidigare forskning. Metod och grund för besvarandet av uppsatsens frågeställningar har varit observation och undersökning i form av videoinspelning av tre olika yrkesverksamma pedagoger i en undervisningssituation.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) proposes vibration standards for the evaluation for machine damage due to vibration in rotational machines, where some vibration parameters are given to measure the vibrationgrade. This work evaluates the relevance of the vibration standards in hydro plants that are proposed by the ISO, and also investigates if there are methods used in other countries could have greater importance. Through statistical analysis of collected data we got a better understanding of relation among different vibration parameters, and also the importance of correct choice of the parameters for the evaluation of vibration. We have found that the vibration standards available today in hydro plants are not reliable for the judgment of vibration?s grade.

I mitt examensarbete har jag studerat ämnet matematiksvårigheter. Syftet med arbetet var att få ökad kunskap om matematiksvårigheter samt ta reda på hur läraren kan hjälpa elever med dessa svårigheter. Jag har dels gjort en litteraturstudie och dels en empirisk studie. I min litteraturstudie söker jag fakta som är relevant till mina frågor. Den empiriska studien är gjord i form av intervjuer.

We have performed a historical research, trying to establish the auditing conditions, in terms of adjustments over time. Our purpose with this essay was to demonstrate the facts behind the independence of the auditor, and hopefully give the reader some new information.Our questions at issue were: What in the debate, regarding the independence of the auditor, in concern of the scandals, is most relevant each decade?Witch aftermath has influenced the regulation regarding the independence of the auditor?What we thought was the best way to answer this question was to study a large amount of journals according to the current decade, since 1930 and forward. The journals presented different persons opinions regarding the scandals, and we used them as an instrument to analyse the regulations and after-effects of the scandals.Our conclusion is that in purpose to make the auditor independent, the debate among competent and well-informed people in the line of business has, through the decades, frequently recurred to strive towards a more homogenous auditing..

Det övergripande syftet med denna undersökning var att studera dans som verktyg för lärande. Studien fokuserar på dansens betydelse för lärandet i matematik samt lärares och elevers uppfattningar om dansmatte. I studien har vi genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med elever, dans- och matematiklärare som arbetar med dansmatte samt läst relevant litteratur som rör matematik och lärande, estetiska lärprocesser och dans som verktyg för lärandet. Några av intervjuerna utfördes på en skola som arbetar med dansmatte och några via telefon och e-mail. Det centrala som framkom i studien var att alla, utom en medverkande elev, är eniga om att dansmatte är ett bra medel för lärande i matematik och eleverna påstod att de lär sig lättare genom att använda kroppen.

Därför är det viktigt att unga människor får kunskaper om hur de på bästa sätt kan ta hand om sig själva. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur elever som läser gymnasiets kurs Idrott och hälsa A ser på den hälsoundervisning de får.Detta är relevant för alla som arbetar som idrott och hälsa lärare för att kunna hitta en jämkning mellan kursplan och elevernas tankar och förkunskaper. Genom intervjuer och fokusintervjuer kom jag fram till att eleverna vill lära sig mer om stress och hur man hanterar stress samt om kost. Eleverna tycker däremot att idrottsläraren inte är rätt person att lära ut kunskaper om tobak..

The intention is to focus on the implementation of the tablet in preschools and how the intentions around the introduction of the tablet take shape in different preschools. The method is semi structured interviews where the respondents consist of 3 preschool directors and 6 teachers where the preschool directors work. This is a relevant subject to illustrate, as the tablet has become a tool in preschool where it seems to be different opinions about how it should be used. This study aims to understand how the implementation can take form in different preschools, what kind of similarities and differences we can see with the intentions of the tablet and if there is need of clarification on the workings of the tablets in preschools. The results show that the intentions around the introduction of the tablet in preschool look different in the preschools, and the implementation of this new technology starts in a small scale with help of photographing and videotaping.

This study is about exclusion and childrens role-play in Swedish preschools. 8 preschool teachers, in 4 different preschools, have been interviewed about exclusion and low and high rating roles in children's role-play. The interviews was recorded and then analyzed. Relevant research in this study was from Corsaro, Tellgren and Löfdahl amongst others, and the results of the interviews is what this study is based on. The study showed that one of the most common roles in childrens role-play is the role of mother and that the roles children play are based on social norms and values.

We have decided to conduct a case study of German and Swedish mid-level managers within the automobile industry. Primarily we used a qualitative method of investigation and a phenomenographical methodological approach in order to conduct an in depth analysis. We conducted semi-structured interviews with six mid-level managers each in Germany and Sweden. The semi-structured interviews allowed us to conduct flexible interviews which enabled these managers to speak relatively freely about their own view of leadership. Throughout our investigation we have based our results on the empirical findings and at the same time sought explanations to different phenomenon in relevant secondary data, such as management literature, thus used the abductive method of investigation..

Projektets syfte är att ta reda på ifall det är någon skillnad mellan två olika språkprofiler vid kustväderuppläsning. Hur ger man användaren en tydlig och relevant förståelse av kustvädret? Finns det en språkprofil som är bättre än den andra? För att svara på frågeställningarna har en utvärdering utförts med hjälp av en enkät innehållande både frågor och uppgifter, detta för att få en tydlig bild över lyssnarens förståelsegrad samt upplevelse. Resultaten visar på att språkprofil A baserat på ledigt språk är bättre än språkprofil B som är baserat på strikt språk. Dessutom indikerar resultaten på att tydlig struktur, långsam talhastighet, tydliga pauser, ett enkelt språk och att mottagaren har ett bra sätt att lyssna på är faktorer som påverkar hur kustväderuppläsningen förstås..

This report is a thesis on requests from Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) in autumn of 2012. The goal of this work was to study the feasibility of creating and implementing an Equalized preventive maintenance program in SMC maintenance operations and reduce downtime for preventive maintenance (PM). To investigate whether this was possible, the authors studied the current procedures for the PM. The authors have collected and analyzed all relevant information within the maintenance department reporting system as well as through interviews determined whether it is practical to introduce a Equalized PM programs. The authors had also studied the possibilities to entrust part of the maintenance work to the operators of the machine cells.

The purpose of our essay is to develop an understanding and an insight for the fashion industry. We want to examine what the creative industries can learn from the unique position that fashion hold in a field between commercialization and art. We used a theoretical ground to enlarge our understanding for the distinctive place that fashion holds. To gain further insight in the fashion industry we complete the theory with empirical facts. The empirical facts were collected through a qualitative method with deep-going interviews.
