För att pröva värdet av vibrametri (bestämning av vibrationströsklar) med en ny typ av utrustning ? en VibroSense Meter® - vid bedömningen av eventuella nervskador hos arbetare adderades metoden till Previas rutinundersökning för vibrationsexponerade. Sju personer undersöktes. Sex av dessa hade arbetat på ett gjuteri mellan 3 månader till 11 år.

This is a thesis on D-level. In a previous course, at our program Computer Science, we came up with an idea of how to improve/complement training for new employees who are situated in a stressful workplace at companies who are in a constant need of rehiring. We developed this concept and came up with an idea for a simulator that could train staff as well as relieve stress and tension for new employees. The idea matured and became a Serious Game simulator based on a dual-wield Wii-controlled PC-based simulator with Bluetooth support.The purpose of this paper is to produce a design concept for a simulator as well as conducting research on the topics: mental and physical learning abilities, psychomotor abilities, visual perception, hand-eye coordination, confidence, simulators and Serious Games. The conducted research will be the foundation for the design concept which will be implemented in our co-workers', Henrik Djerf & Daniel Gomez-Ortega, prototype.

In my exam-project, ?For Götha Kendo Club ? an athletic clubs new graphical profile? at HDK ( School of Design and Crafts ) i chose to redesign the visual identity of Götha Kendo Club, a kendo-club in Gothenburg. Kendo is a japanese fencing sport, where swords of bamboo are used, together with protective armor.My work consists of a new logotype for Götha Kendo Club; three different posters for recruiting beginners; a website layout, presented with a pdf-file; and a beginners folder, with an introduction to kendo.The aim was, not only to give Götha Kendo Club a new fresh look, but also to attract a target group to the sport, namely people who are interested in competition, exercise and athletics.To achieve this I created a though look where tension and focus was the lead; using only three colours, red, white and black, and with progressive typography set in with the modernistic HouseGothic typeface I created this fresh and exciting look. The photography by Ida Nordung where shoot with white backdrop, creating a hard contrast to the dark clothed kendo models.Finally I collected rules and guidelines for the graphical and visual elements of Götha Kendo Club new style in a graphical guide..

The project was initiated by Medipharm which produce microbial inoculants which used as additives to preserve forage. The main goal was to test three inoculants to produce maize silege. The following Medipharm produced inoculants were tested, Milab 393, Lactisil Wolecrop II, Lactisil 300 2. An untreated control was included in the study. The trial was done at Swedish university of Agriculture and Science in Alnarp, Sweden. Eurostar was the cultivar of the maize and was grown on 20, 5 hectares.

Smurfit Kappa Kraftliner Piteå tillverkar kraftliner som används vid tillverkning av wellpapp. Pappret kommer från pappersmaskinen på en tambour (40 ton och 6,5 meter bred), som sedan rullas om och skärs till kundanpassade rullar (ca 3 ton och 2,4 meter breda) i en så kallad rullmaskinen. Examensarbete har bestått i att föreslå optimeringar, förbättringar och serviceintervall i avsikt att förbättra körbarhet och kvalitet på rullmaskin 1. Inledningsvis gjordes ett studiebesök hos SCA Packaging Obbola för att få lite information inför det kommande konditionstest som MetsoPaper skulle utföra även hos Smurfit Kappa. Sedan 1965 har vi i Sverige haft strandskyddsbestämmelser i naturvårdslagen. Den innebär att vi inte har rätt att bebygga eller anlägga anordningar närmare än 100 meter från strandlinjen. Samma gäller från strandlinjen och 100 meter ut i vattnet, om inte strandskyddsdispens ges. Syftet med denna lag är att allmänheten ska kunna bada och idka friluftsliv samt att bevara djur- och växtlivet. Lagen säger att det måste finnas särskilda skäl för att få dispens och inget utrymme lämnas för en differentierad tillämpning.

However, it was during this period of high tension that a small group of Jews distinguished themselves not only by claiming that the promised savior, the Messiah, had arrived but also by including non-Jewish members into their ranks. The stated question is how this group of Christians reasoned both among themselves but also with their surroundings.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether it is possible for SCA to update their stand register with use of digital aerial photos photographed with a Zeiss/Intergraph DMC. ?Updating? in this study implies the delineation of stands and estimating stand variables such as average stand height, volume density, stand volume, and tree species composition in order to identify stands which can be of current interest for thinning. The study also includes how the aerial photo material and experience of the interpreter can influence the quality of the interpreted variables. The aerial photo interpretations were made by both experienced and inexperienced interpreters.

There are several treatment methods that are used by physiotherapists to treat migraine and tension type-headache (TTH). The effects of these methods have been evaluated in previous studies. However, there are few studies evaluating headache patients own perception of the treatment. The purpose of this study was both to examine the patient?s perception of the physiotherapy headache treatment and to examine if the treatment had effect on their quality of life.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the relationship between librarians and library support staff in public libraries regarding status, distribution of work and working climate. We were interested to know if there is a conflict between the two occupational groups and how it can be explained. We also wanted to learn what the future holds for the library in terms of professional categories and tasks according to library staff of today. This study is based on twelve qualitative interviews with four heads of libraries, four librarians and four library assistants. Three theoretical approaches were used in the analysis of the interview material: professionalization strategies, conflict theories and theories from group psychology.
