The purpose of this essay is to examine trust, or lack of trust, in the social services. Previous research considering this topic is limited, which, in our point of view, implies the need of further studies. A quantative method was used, consisting of an online questionnaire containing statements about the social services. The statements were designed using a five level Likert-scale which required the respondent to rate their level of agreement. The questionnaire was published on five webcommunities directed to parents.

Personer som av olika anledningar inte kan konkurrera på den öppna arbetsmarknaden kan av Luleå kommun erbjudas en insats i form av ordnad praktik, som kan leda till offentligt skyddad anställning (OSA). Syftet med praktiken är att de som deltar ska kunna komma ut i arbetslivet, men det är också en form av rehabilitering för att stärka dessa människor. Syftet med denna undersökning är att studera vilken betydelse insatsen har för deltagarna, samt vad de har för uppfattning om den. Både en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ ansats har använts. KASAM-13 (Känsla Av SAMmanhang) samt en enkät med åsiktsfrågor har delats ut till dem som hade praktik eller OSA under tiden juni 2007 ? november 2007.

En större livsmedelproducent i Örebro hade problem med hög sjukfrånvaro. I ett försök att komma tillrätta med den genomfördes projektet ?Tidig rehabilitering? under perioden 2004-03-15 ? 2005-03-15 i samarbete med Previa. Målet var att minska sjukfrånvaron med två procentenheter under projekttiden. Man önskade också undersöka metodens effektivitet, få en bild av sjukdomspanoramat på företaget, samt påvisa eventuella köns- eller åldersskillnader.

The purpose of this paper was to examine social workers' experiences of integration of unaccompanied children. We aimed to study which factors in the individual and the community social workers experience affect the integration and how they, based on their understanding, work to promote integration. The essay has a phenomenological approach and focuses on the social workers' own experiences of the phenomenon. The empirical data was obtained from qualitative interviews conducted with five social workers, all administrators in cases involving unaccompanied children. The result shows that the social workers feel that the desire to integrate is the most important presumption that must be present in the unaccompanied children.

What Places Adolescents and Adults, Respectively, in Need of Social Assistance? A Qualitative Study of How Social Workers Whom Administrate Financial Assistance for Adolescents and Adults, Respectively, Describe Reasons Behind the Need of Social Assistance Amongst Their ClientsThe purpose of this essay was to study and compare how social workers whom administrate social assistance for adolescents and adults, respectively, describe reasons behind the need of social assistance amongst their clients. This was done due to the use of qualitative interviews with a total of six social workers. Of these six, three administrated social assistance for adolescents while the other three did the same for adults. Prior research of poverty attribution greatly inspired this essay.

The purpose with this essay was to study how the social work is shaped in the methadone programme and how the staffs treat and work with the social integration for the patients.We have studied the experience of a medical assisted treatment from two different treatment clinics and focused on their treatment programme. We have chosen to focus on the social aspect but we have also been taking part of the medical treatment - the methadone. In order to get a bigger picture of our problem area we also studied how Sweden's narcotic politic is constructed and how a narcotic life could look like before the entrance in the program. This thesis is a study of social movements and their possibilities to effect politics by infuencing values in society through framing. I've looked upon social movements from a functionalistic-structuralistic perspective, as if they were carriers of values from people that otherwise won't be represented in the political life. The values that the social movements are struggling for can affect both the opinion and the decision-makers since the social movements in an active way are trying ti influence the society. The thesis examines the political opportunities that social movements hav to mobilise and grow. I have looked at different factors that either improve or make the political opportunities worse.

Social dokumentation handlar om att dokumentera vid handläggning och vid genomförande inom verksamheter styrda enligt SoL, LSS, LVU och LVM. How do you do co-operation between government agencies? It is a wide spread view that there can be quite a few hitches in co-operation between agencies. In later years this idea has spread to the media where there has been negative coverage of the social service agencies. This generally applies to cases where children suffer because the right assistance takes too long to co-ordinate or does not get co-ordinated at all between schools, healthcare and social services. The social welfare law dictates that it is the social welfare office duty to co-ordinate the government agencies for the child?s best interest.

Our paper is targeting mainly students, but also all other people interested in social work with children. The purpose of our study was to investigate how the social workers experience and handle their work with children, who have been exposed to sexual abuse, and what kind of support and guidance the social workers are offered, in order to handle their working situation. We chose to perform a qualitative study, by the use of interviews, since we found it to be the most appropriate way to gather the information. Our conclusion is that the work with these issues is emotionally burdensome and requires a great commitment, however it is essential for the social workers to maintain a certain distance to their work, in order not to influence their personal lives. It is through experience and knowledge that the social workers learn how to handle their working situation. We also learned that although the work with sexual abuse against children gave birth to different emotions of the social worker, the social workers feel satisfaction with their work, by helping the exposed children. We hope that our paper will inspire and encourage to further studies in the area, since there is still much to be explored. .

Denna uppsats undersöker vad specialpedagoger vid rehab- och habilitering upplever att elever, som har varaktig kognitiv funktionsnedsättning efter behandling av hjärntumör, behöver för stöd i sin skolgång. I studien söks svaret på vilka utmaningar eleverna står inför efter sjukdom och behandling samt vilka anpassningar, metoder och strategier som eleverna kan behöva. Studien har inspirerats av innehållsanalys som vetenskaplig metod och resultatet bygger på intervjuer med åtta informanter. Analysen av datamaterialet resulterade i ett övergripande tema Elevens främlingskap till sig själv och strategier för nyorientering och tre kategorier Identitet- en utmaning, Samverkan vid anpassningar samt Råd till pedagoger.Resultatet visar att eleverna har en spretig kunskapsprofil med ojämna kognitiva förmågor och att svårigheter blir synliga då kraven ökar. Många elever upplevs känna ett främlingskap till sig själv vilket påverkar hur stödet tas emot i skolan.

The focus of this thesis is on social workers? knowledge in assessing and making decisions in child welfare cases. The primary aim is to identify what skills or knowledge social workers find most useful within child welfare agencies in Swedish municipalities. Six different types of knowledge, social policy and the approach of child welfare cases are perspectives considered in the analysis. The interviews with social workers were held in three agencies in southern Sweden, in 2014.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur personer som har drabbats av stroke upplever sin livskvalitet samt vilka faktorer som associeras med livskvalitet. Designen var en beskrivande litteraturstudie och litteratur söktes i databaserna Medline (via PubMed) och Cinahl. Efter urvalet återstod 15 artiklar som inkluderades i studien. Artiklarna granskades och fyra huvudkategorier kunde utrönas: livskvalitet efter stroke, fysiska, psykiska och sociala faktorer som associeras med livskvalitet. Resultatet visade att personer som har drabbats av stroke ofta uppvisar sänkt livskvalitet.
