The aim with the thesis is to get deeper knowledge in one of the subjects botany, livestock technology or economy. I have chosen to get deeper knowledge in how to store potatoes. How are you going to act to keep the quality on the potato during the storage, with a minimum of weight lost? My aim with this thesis is to get a view over how the potato act in storage space. The storage environment is very important in the storage space.

In this thesis a study about funding in civil-society organizations is carried out. The aim is to understand how an organization in civil-society is affected by different forms of financing models. The empirical material in the thesis consists of a case study of three Swedish civil-society organizations (CSO) producing social services in the field of rehabilitation of people with a drug addiction. The case study consists of mainly interviews with people holding a leading position in the three organizations together with a study of for the research question relevant documents. From the empirical material, including an extensive analysis of these organizations different income sources, a partial model of how to categorize and analyze different forms of funding in CSOs is developed.

According to the health care law and the national care guarantee, all individuals with mental illness have the right to good health care that is knowledge based as well as to rehabilitation where and when they need it. They also should be able to choose and have control over who is performing the care, including the design of these efforts. The purpose of this study is to investigate patients' experiences of general psychiatric emergency care and the cooperation between outpatient care, inpatient care and the municipality. This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted with a quantitative and qualitative method. The study is performed in collaboration with Akademiska Sjukhuset and is part of a larger quality improvement project.

Bakgrund: Varje dag smittas i genomsnitt cirka 14 000 personer av HIV i världen. Ny behandling har gjort att dessa patienter idag lever längre. Sjukdomsförlopp samt komplikationer går inte att förutsäga utan är individuellt. Eftersom personer med HIV/AIDS-diagnos nu lever längre kommer behovet av arbetsterapeutiska insatser att öka. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva arbetsterapeutiska insatser för personer med HIV/AIDS samt vilken roll arbetsterapeuten har i arbetet kring dessa personer.

During the last year in the Innovation Engineering Program, at Halmstad University, a degree project was performed that was carried out during Fall semester in 2006 and Spring semester 2007. The project was performed by two students in corporation with LIC Audio AB, a company in Stockholm. The degree project was meant to result in a communication aid for people with a cognitive handicap. The project focused on people suffering from dementia because of the expressed need within this group. This aid should first and foremost help in a conversation between a person with dementia and another person, like a relative or nursing home staff.

Laser for material processing possesses a number of advantages which mean that it has been and will be an important component for a wide range of industries' future development. Cutting materials processing is the dominant use of laser technology and has revolutionized the manufacturing industry. The aim of this thesis is to describe the principles of metal cutting by laser, how laser cutting is applied in practice and to identify how Swedish companies are using laser cutting. For the theoretical and technical description of laser cutting literature studies are the primary source of information. The empirical basis for the mapping of the Swedish industry for laser cutting is grounded on a survey; this includes Swedish companies that use laser cutting in their production.

This is a bachelor thesis that studies and discuss the question: How can we develop our individual narrative technique with sound design in a Swedish drama production? We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. Sverige har idag en av världens äldsta befolkning och antalet äldre över 65 år beräknas att stiga. Detta innebär att fallolyckor i de äldres hemmiljö inomhus kommer att öka och detta bidrar enligt tidigare studier till ökade sjukvårdskostnader och minskad självständig aktivitet och delaktighet. En av arbetsterapeutens arbetsuppgifter är att arbeta förebyggande för att minska denna problematik. Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur detta förebyggande arbete utfördes av arbetsterapeuter för att minska fallrisken i de äldres hemmiljö inomhus, framförallt avseende miljöåtgärder. Datainsamlingen gjordes med hjälp av enkät på 41 yrkesverksamma arbetsterapeuter i sex skånska kommuner.

De vanligaste orsakerna till en höftplastikoperation är artros, ledgångsreumatism, sjukdom i leden under unga år eller en fraktur. En höftplastikoperation innebär att man byter ut ledhuvudet och/eller ledpannan mot en protes. De första tre månaderna efter operationen förändras aktivitetsutförandet av en del aktiviteter till följd av restriktioner. Tekniska hjälpmedel förskrivs därför och tjänar till att bibehålla personens självständighet i så stor utsträckning som möjligt. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur och i vilken utsträckning dessa patienter använder sig av griptången efter operationen.

Att ta körkort och skaffa bil är en självklarhet för många människor. För funktionshindrade kan körkort och bil bidra till ökad mobilitet och självständighet i vardagen. Arbetsterapeuten kan då hjälpa till med körkorts- och bilanpassningsfrågor då detta kan vara en besvärlig process för funktionshindrade. Syftet med studien var att, med stöd av den arbetsterapeutiska arbetsprocessen, undersöka hur arbetsterapeuter arbetar med unga funktionshindrade som vill ta körkort och skaffa bil. I studien deltog två arbetsterapeuter som fortlöpande arbetade med körkort- och bilanpassningsfrågor i en verksamhet som enbart sysslar med den typen av frågor.

Dessa symtom kan påverka delaktigheten i aktiviteter i det dagliga livet såsom personlig vård, skötsel av hemmet, arbete och fritid. Människan är en social varelse som är beroende av sociala relationer hela livet. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur personer med Reumatoid Artrit upplever sin delaktighet med andra på sin fritid.

Fast pyrolysis is a method for converting biomass into three energy rich products: char, gas and bio-oil, where the latter is most interesting.  Pyrolysis is an endothermic process where biomass is heated in an anaerobic environment and, with the right operating conditions, up to 80 %wt bio-oil can be extracted. Key parameters for fast pyrolysis are: stable reactor temperature (~500°C), short residue time for gas in the reactor (<2 s) and a very high heating rate for the biomass. Today there are several different process solutions for fast pyrolysis, where fluidized beds and rotating cones are most developed. Bio-oil has compared to fossil oil: lower heating value, low pH and also polymerizes with time. Because of this upgrading is desirable for increasing competitiveness.
