The purpose of this study is to investigate, and if possible explain, how background, childhood, and education in a municipal or regional context can affect young peoples? life trajectories.The living conditions for the population in the coastal region Roslagen with its geographical and historical specificities has during centuries largely been characterized by practical crafts-manship. With a growing share of non-permanent residents in the region with demand for help and services, this culture has during the later years been able to prosper. The social reproduc-tion in the municipality also seems to be extensive. In addition to original background, appar-ently the municipality?s service-dominated trade and industry culture has also affected the choice of education and profession of the youth in Norrtälje.

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine the occurrence of Scandinavia in the then daily English newspaper Yorkshire Herald during the First World War. The dissertation looks into what the Yorkshire Herald wrote about Scandinavia in the parts of the newspaper where the newspaper´s own opinion was given. This approach is connected to the theoretical idea that the British local and regional press was politically free during the war period. The dissertation also looks into the number of news telegrams etcetera that concerned Scandinavia during the period.The result shows that Scandinavia, both as a whole as well as the three individual countries, was mentioned about 700 times, split over about 600 telegrams and articles, during the examined period stretching from the first of August 1914 to the eleventh of November 1918. Material that gives the newspaper´s opinion regarding issues concerning Scandinavia can be found six times during the period.

Since some years Linköping has invested in biogas production, mainly from offal's, residuals from food industry and manure. The municipality goes for biogas in the local traffic and in all transportation. It is also possible for private car owners to run their cars on biogas. The purpose of this essay is to perform a cost-benefit analysis and examine if the project has been beneficial from a social point of view. The effects have been identified, measured and monetarily valued. The essay is limited to include the year of 2006 only.

This master thesis investigates how the county administrative boards communicate the regional risk and vulnerability analyses to municipalities in Sweden. Information has been gathered through a survey and through a case study involving three county administrative boards. The results revealed that there are possibilities to improve or develop the communication in all the county administrative boards. The information channels are often written or web based, these channels promote one way communication rather than a dialog. The thesis gives suggestion on how to work out a strategy for a more effective communication, the case study also gives ideas on how a county administrative board can work with communication..

In this paper I attempt to analyze the ways the European Union defines its external borders in cross-border co-operation with its neighbours. The analysis is based on case study examining the founding components of a updated version of the Northern Dimension policy of the European Union.The analytical framework of the study is composed of three different perceptions on the cross-border co-operation; regionalisation, integration and flexible integration. I conclude that the model of cross-border co-operation laid by the Northern Dimension policy would have an impact on the EU's external border with Russia, making it more flexible and vague.As far as the geographical terms of the co-operation are concerned, they seem to shift from regional co-operation to greater emphasis the role of networks as basis for co-operation instead of traditional regions..

Det här är en undersökning om hur proposition ?Prop. 2008/09:119. Strandskyddet och utveckling av landsbygden ? har gett upphov till en förskjutning av makt i strandskyddets dispensgivning.

Enligt Plan- och bygglagen är samrådet en obligatorisk del i en planprocess. Efter att ett samråd har hållits ska de inkomna synpunkterna sammanställas i en samrådsredogörelse. Samrådsredogörelsen blir då en del av planhandlingarna för det aktuella planområdet. I det här kandidatabetet granskas och undersöks hur en samrådsredogörelse skrivs. Det tar sin utgångspunkt i Plan- och bygglagen, i både den nuvarande och i regeringens proposition till en ny Plan- och bygglag.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa ett teoretiskt kunskapsbidrag där vi identifierar och kartlägger hur de olika litteraturområdena sammanfaller och samverkar i avseendet värdebildande aspekter inom ett industriellt nätverk. Studiens syfte är även att bringa klarhet i huruvida Sölvesborgsregionens fiskoljeprojekt är möjligt att genomföra samt att definiera eventuella hinder. Uppsatsen har två separata frågeställningar. För att besvara dessa har vi angripit den första frågeställningen, avseende de teoretiska litteraturområdena, utifrån en deduktiv ansats. Den andra frågeställningen, gällande fiskoljeprojektets genomförbarhet, har vi angripit utifrån en induktiv ansats.

Mot denna bakgrund uppstår konkurrens kringmarkanvändningen i citynära verksamhetsområden. Idag omvandlas verksamhetsområden tillattraktiva bostadsområden, exempelvis Liljeholmskajen och Norra Djurgårdsstaden. Syftet medrapporten är att undersöka möjligheten att omvandla tre verksamhetsområden (Lunda,Slakthusområdet och Västberga) och vilka regleringar samt investeringar som är nödvändigaför att verksamheterna ska kunna omlokaliseras till perifera verksamhetsområden i regionen.Första steget till omvandling är att omlokalisera den befintliga verksamheten, som i de angivnaområdena klassificeras som logistikintensiv, till perifera verksamhetsområden i regionen.Logistikintensiv verksamhet karaktäriseras av att transporter till och från fastigheten ärnödvändiga för verksamhetens framgång, det kan vara allt från ett tryckeri till en globaltransportör.

Undersökningen ämnar att belysa ett område som inte ägnats mycket tidigare uppmärksamhet, medborgerligt förtroende på regional nivå. Syftet med uppsatsen är att genom en teoretisk bakgrund kring kopplingar mellan korruption, förtroende och legitimitet formulera ett samlingsbegrepp där korruption förstås i relation till förtroende och legitimitet och inte endast utifrån lagstiftning. Detta för att sedan utifrån detta begrepp undersöka förekomsten av samt vilka regelverk svenska landsting har att förhålla sig till för att motverka korrupt beteende.Undersökningens slutsatser är att det samlade regelverken som landstingen har att förhålla sig till är att anse som klart formulerade. En oväntad slutsats visade sig även. Ett stort antal av svenska landsting och regioner uppvisade stora brister i kommunikationsförmåga..

Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet turism och rättvis handel ur en geografisk synvinkel. Utgångspunkten är den ideella organisationen Tourism Concerns kriterier för en rättvis turism, som poängterar researrangörernas uppfostrande roll i marknadsföringen. Enligt detta NGO-perspektiv borde researrangören tillgodose resenären med information som möjliggör ett medvetet val, uppmuntrar resenären till ett mer ansvarsfullt och rättvist beteende väl på destinationen samt en rättvis beskrivning av destinationer i marknadsföringen. De menar att en påläst turist bidrar till ett mer rättvist förhållande mellan turist och lokalbefolkning. Fair Trade ? rättvis handel inom turism behandlas i uppsatsen dels som ett medel för en mer rättvis regionalgeografisk beskrivning av platser, dels som en väg till regional utveckling.Uppsatsen syfte är att beskriva och analysera de tre största svenska researrangörerna, Apollo, Fritidsresor och Vingresor, information till resenären gällande ansvarsfullt och rättvist resande, dels genom konkreta råd till resenären, dels i marknadsföringen av destinationer i utvecklingsländer.

Göteborg är en stad som växer. Det behövs åtgärder för att göra stadens transportsystem mer effektivt när invånarantalet ökar, en bakgrund till att infrastrukturprojektet Västsvenska paketet har utvecklats. Vid årsskiftet 2013 introducerades ett system för trängselskatt, som en del av Västsvenska paketet, i Göteborgs stad. Infrastruktur i form av vägar och spårvägar har traditionellt varit statligt finansierade, något som frångåtts alltmer under senare tid. I och med lagändringar har det blivit både möjligt och vanligare med kommunal och regional medfinansiering.I denna uppsats analyserar vi de möjliga effekter trängselskatt kommer att ha för Göteborg.

This study investigates how consumer attitudes toward a company are affected by the company?s Corporate Social Responsibility work and their marketing efforts thereof. The Swedish fast food chain ?Max? provides the empirical setting. The theoretical framework for the study is based on Vanhamme and Grobben?s (2009) model regarding CSR?s effect on a company?s reputation, which is connected to perceptions? effect on attitude based on Fishbein and Ajzen?s (1975) theory.

The aim of this study was through applying a new perspective reach the people who during medieval time lived and worked on the farm. On the basis of my previously study and a gender perspective this study have compared general literature with local and then interpreted the farm from a local context. The questions raised here concerns division of work and spatial distribution on the farm as well as local impact on gender constructions.This study resulted in interesting problems within the archaeology itself but also in significant details about the farm. No gender restrictions could be seen in the houses except in Hus 1 were a smaller space, which probably used as storage or a workshop had been restricted tomales. Instead the buildings social space mainly consisted of a mixed gender environment.
