Detta arbete utgår ifrån en enighet i forskningen om att mätningar av ljud inte är tillräckligt för att bestämma ljudlandskapets kvalitet. Enligt EU direktivet 2002/49/EG som senare skrivits in i miljöbalken, ska varje kommun eller tätort med mer än 100 000 invånare framställa bullerkartor som i sin tur ska användas som underlag i ett åtgärdsprogram. Direktivets syfte är att informera politiker, medborgare och planerare i buller frågan i den givna tätorten. Forskning tyder dock på att allmänheten och icke specialister har svårt att tyda bullerkartorna och att gemene man inte har någon referens till de mätnivåer som presenteras. I arbetet presenteras en översikt av teorier och begrepp som behandlar ämnet ljudlandskap (soundscape) och koncept och metoder som tillhör detta begrepp.

Undersökningens syfte är att se vilka anledningar individen har till att välja friår och hur det kopplas samman med livsformerna de lever. Syftet har också varit att se individens upplevelse av friåret och vad de använt friåret till. Undersökningen bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med sex friårslediga. Intervjuerna har handlat om individens upplevelse av friåret och tiden före det.Friår är en arbetsmarknadspolitisk åtgärd med målsättning att ge arbetstagare en längre ledighet från sitt arbete. Arbetslösa får samtidigt en chans att komma in på arbetsmarknaden.

De offentliga rummen är de platser i staden som är tillgängliga för oss alla. Dess betydelse har varierat med åren. De har alltid varit betydande platser för maktuttryck från stat och kyrka men också platser där folket uttryckt sin vilja i demonstrationer och aktioner. Parkerna började dyka upp i Sverige under 1800-talet då städerna växte och borgarklassen fick mer resurser och fritid. De senaste årtiondena har våra offentliga miljöer många gånger fått komma i andra han i stadsplaneringen, fokus har länge legat på objekten och inte på vad som finns emellan dem. I Karlskrona har länge stora delar av staden varit stängda för allmänheten på grund av militären och det är också det militära som till stor del styrt stadsbyggandet.

Ronneby torg är beläget centralt i Ronneby stadskärna i sydöstra Blekinge. På denna plats går det att identifiera tre problem som utgör brist på människor (social hållbarhet), rumslighet (mötesplats) och vegetation (ekologisk hållbarhet). Tidigare har torgets södra del innefattat en stadspark vid namn ?Gröna Torget? medan hela torget idag utgörs av en hårdgjord yta med inslag av träd i dess kanter. Det finns ett behov från Ronneby kommun att utveckla torget som en mötesplats, då kommunen utlyst en förslagstävling av just denna anledning.

One of the main goals of the national curriculum is to encourage children?s personal opinion and support them in development of argumentation ability and communication skills. All this is very important for the children as members of the future society.The purpose of this essay is to investigate how primary school teachers estimate the meaning of the pupil?s argumentation as well as which methods and approaches are assumed by the teachers to be most appropriate for children?s argumentation development. The study also considers the questions how the teachers motivate their pupil has to argue in the classroom and how the students by themselves understand the concept of argumentation.

Forestry and forest products are vital components of the Swedish economy but the forest is also important for Recreation, hunting, out-door life and conserving biodiversity. The Swedish Forest Act has two equally important objectives, production and environmental protection. Polytax is the Swedish Forest Agency´s inventory programme which monitors progress toward the two objectives in connection with regeneration fellings. It includes data on environmental protection measures taken in connection with regeneration fellings. 30 § of the Swedish Forestry Act and related regulations specify the demands for conserva-tion of nature.

Gothenburg municipality has a lot of natural water. This paper enhances the function and importance of water in the city. It also deals with the problems of sewage water and flooding. Gothenburg has reached an advanced stage of water planning. By developing a Waterplan, the municipality highlight that water has an important position in the urban planning.

Abstract"Citizen Influence, Forms and Effects - A study of the Resistance Concerning the Establishment of a Juvenile Detention Center in Kristinehamn 2005-2007"Political Science, Johan Utter This essay circles around the concepts of citizenship and the questions if and how citizens in the modern democracy can influence and effect the political decisions made by the governing body on the local level. This is done by the means of a case-study concerning the establishment of an institutional facility for convicted youths in Kristinehamn. The planning of this facility and especially its planned location in Sunneberg aroused a significant negative response from the citizens, demanding a better alternative for the location.The proposition resulted in heavy protests from the citizens as the planned location was viewed as an important Recreation area, where the citizens could experience nature first hand, close to the centre of town. As a result, some citizens living close to the planned location, formed a network called "Bevara Sunneberg", whose purpose was to influence the decision-makers and make the citizen?s voices heard.

Since it is important that the yield bears a high quality it is of great importance to find varieties more resistant to attacks.Pathogenesis-related (PR) proteins are stress proteins induced in the plant in response to infection and abiotic stress (van Loon, 1997). PRs are shown to have antimicrobial activity differing between bacteria, fungi and oomycetes (Tandrup Poulsen, 2001).

In light of the European Union`s 2012 theme year: Active aging and solidarity between generations I wished to gain an understanding of weather elderly immigrant are provided with equal possibilities and access to local community information as the majority population and their participation in activities arranged for senior citizens in the municipality where they live. I have done this by meeting with those who work in this capacity. I also chose to meet with representatives for immigrant organizations in the local community to enquire of their work with senior citizens within their own ethnic group. This is a qualitative study on a phenomenological ground based on nine interviews and four observations. I have had two theories to help me analyze my empirical material.

To be able to plan for the expansion of a town, one needs a vision of the future appear-ance of the town. It is the current issues (social situation, supply and demand, political control etc.) which decide what the ideal for town planning is. Västerviks kommun har under tiotals år haft en vikande befolkningsutveckling men under de senaste åren har en förändring skett och trenden har brutits. En stor satsning på att uppföra sjönära bostadsområden nära staden har lockat till inflyttning, och kommunen vill fortsätta den utvecklingen. Solbergsudde ligger strax utanför Västervik och det finns långt framskridna planer på att där uppföra ett nytt attraktivt bostadsområde med blandad bebyggelse. Solbergsudde präglas av en lantlig skärgårdskaraktär och idag finns där 17 bostadshus/fritidshus som ej är planlagda. Problem finns med både enskilda läckande avloppsanläggningar och brist på färskvatten.
