This paper studies patterns of consumption within a product category. Using make-up as a base for the study, we applied the Mokken Scale to examine if consumers follow a hierarchical pattern when buying items within the product category. Based on a survey of 250 female respondents, we establish a hierarchic scale for consumption. Assuming generally accepted attributes for determining physical attractiveness, the results of the Mokken Scale study were cross referenced with a survey among 200 male and female respondents. A uniform environmental rating system for green buildings is demanded in today's society, where the requirements of the energy consumption for real estate are increasing. There are several different systems around the world used to rate buildings, all with different assessment criteria and starting points, which make it difficult to compare environmental rated buildings with each other.The purpose of this paper is to acquire knowledge about the differences between the Swedish environmental rating system Miljöklassad Byggnad and the American LEED, to discover which system is most advantageous. We also examine whether environmental rating affect the value of a property.Miljöklassad Byggnad is relatively simple structured, which makes it possible for private individuals to rate their property. LEED is better structured on the other hand in the case of environmental classification of commercial properties, because there are manuals for among others hospitals, schools and retail. The rating system for Miljöklassad Byggnad is good since the system seeks to fix the number of errors and deficiencies as soon as possible.

Electrooculogram (EOG) data was used to develop, adjust and validate a method for drowsiness detection in drivers. The drowsiness detection was based on changes in blink behaviour and classification was made on a four graded scale. The purpose was to detect early signs of drowsiness in order to warn a driver. MATLAB was used for implementation. For adjustment and validatation, two different reference measures were used; driver reported ratings of drowsiness and an electroencephalogram (EEG) based scoring scale.

Background: The majority of patients requiring medical attention experience some degree of pain. The nurses´ assessment of pain is crucial in reducing the patients suffering in a proper and timely manner. Previous studies have shown that the treatment of pain in a emergency situation is poorly managed. The patients´ pain experience is often under assessed and undertreated which leads to increased suffering for the patient. This results in higher costs for the health care system due to prolonged hospitalization.

Studiens syfte var att validera en modifierad svensk översättningav självskattningsskalan som mäter anhedoni, Snaith-Hamilton PleasureScale. Syftet var också att utforska relationen mellan anhedoni och fatigue,stress, mental trötthet respektive dagtrötthet. Studiens deltagare, 60universitetsstudenter, utgjorde en icke-klinisk grupp som rekryterades medbekvämlighetsurval. Den modifierade svenska översättningen av Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale uppvisade god intern konsistens, samt god konvergentvaliditet vid korrelation med anhedonirelaterade subskalor i Beck DepressionInventory. Vidare uppvisade Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale starkapositiva samband med Fatigue Impact Scale respektive Mental FatigueScale, men inte med The Perceived Stress Scale respektive Epworth SleepinessScale.

This essay is a study of the government bills for a new grading scale in the Swedish schools. There have been many complaints about the current grading scale and the main problem seems to be that teachers are interpreting the criteria for certificates differently. There are two major challenges for Swedish teachers, one is how to interpret the criteria for certificates, the other one is the equality problem , students can not be sure of that two different teachers would give the same grades. The main point of the essay is to try to find out whether the new grading scale will solve this problem. To my help I have made an analysis of the bills of the Swedish government for the new grading scale.

Social fobi är en av de vanligaste ångestsjukdomarna. Rädsla och oro i sociala situationer och prestationsrelaterade dito är utmärkande för dessa individer. Social fobi tenderar, om den inte behandlas, att bli kronisk och det finns indikatorer på att tillståndet förvärras över tid. Idag finns behandlingar som ger goda utfall direkt efter avslut, men huruvida behandlingseffekterna håller i sig över längre tid är mer höljt i dunkel. Internetadministrerade självhjälpsbehandlingar har en möjlighet att öka tillgängligheten för denna klientgrupp och det är då av vikt att den är av god kvalitet.

For patient security it is also very important that resources and time are used in an appropriate way. A lot of time is spent on non-core activity, for example administration takes more and more time, which can result in feelings of stress.Aim:The aim was to describe how district nurses? and nurses? in primary care perceived their work environment, how their worktime content was distributed and if there was some connection between perceived work environment and the distribution of work time.Methods:A mapping of the content of the work was made in two parts.

Depressionssjukdomar är vanligt förekommande och medför stor sjukdomsbörda. De psykologiska behandlingsmetoder som visat sig effektiva vid depression är bland annat kognitiv beteendeterapi (KBT) och beteendeaktivering. I denna studie undersöks effekterna av internetbaserad KBT med behandlarstöd vid mild till måttlig egentlig depression. Totalt 80 deltagare randomiserades till behandling respektive kontrollgrupp. De mätinstrument som användes i studien var självskattningsformulären Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Montgomery Åsberg Depression Rating scale Self?assessment (MADRS?S) och Quality of Life Inventory (QOLI).

I större städer är det vanligare med stress, oro och ångest. Av den anledningen fanns det skäl att tro att individer i storstäder skiljde sig från individer på landsbygden även gällande annan psykisk ohälsa. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om det fanns någon skillnad i ungdomars självrapporterade ätbeteende respektive kroppsuppfattning beroende på urbanisationsgrad, kön och BMI. Deltagarna i undersökningen var 140 gymnasieelever indelade i två grupper, storstad och tätort, utifrån urbanisationsgrad. Undersökningsmaterialet bestod främst av The Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26), några frågor från Eating Disorder Inventory-2 samt Figure Rating scale.
