BakgrundMiljön på Förskolan idag präglas utav olika kulturella skillnader. Detta är något vi som lärare inom förskolan reflekterat mycket över under vår utbildning. Då vår kunskap skiftat i sammanhang med verklighetens verksamhet. Vi ser idag fördelarna och nackdelar beroende på kunskapsnivån hos diverse verksamma lärare, och hur detta i sin tur påverkar barnens lärmiljö. Med studien vill vi uppmärksamma de kulturella inslagen som hjälper barn med olika kultur att lära.I förskolans uppdrag ingår att såväl utveckla barns förmågor och barns eget kulturskapande som att överföra ett kulturarv ? värden, traditioner, historia, språk och kunskaper ? från en generation till nästa.

Jordan is a developing country and there are ten Palestine refugee camps throughout Jordansince the Arab-Israel conflict in 1948 and the Arab-Israel war in 1967. The camps are run byUnited Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)which is the main provider of health care in the camp. Today, the fourth generation ofrefugees lives in the camps which are extremely overpopulated. The social and economicconditions in the camps are poor. The nurses' workload in the Health care centre in the campis getting harder and UNRWA's resources are getting strained due to funding shortfalls.

En tredjedel av Sveriges skogsägare är över 65 år men bara 12 procent tänker genomföra ett generationsskifte inom de närmsta åren. Generationsskiften anses vara en svår och komplex fråga på grund av de många aspekterna; ekonomi, juridik och mjuka frågor. Att arbeta med generationsskiften kan vara ett sätt för virkesköpare att skapa nya kontakter och säkra den framtida virkesförsörjningen. Arbetet syftade till att kartlägga den allmänna inställningen och erfarenheter vid generationsskiften hos SCA Skogs virkesköpare i Västerbottens förvaltning. Deras tankar och funderingar om vilket kompetensbehov och arbetssätt som finns idag undersöktes för att identifiera och utveckla bra arbetssätt vid generationsskiften.

Sports research in the field of social science has shown that regular physical activity leads to wellbeing and positively affects the quality of life. A natural part of being an athlete is learning the functions of the human body, and what?s harmful and destructive, such as drugs (RF 1995). Doping is a constant problem in professional sport. Doping and manipulation of medical preparations in order to maximise performance is one of modern sport?s major problems, according to Blom and Lindroth (1995).I thought it would be interesting to see what the next generation of athletes thinks of doping.

Energy is an important issue in the current world which significantly affects sustainability and development. Energy generation and use are major sources of CO2 emissions which is one of the most important driving factors in global climate changes. The amount of energy used in house hold section can lead to estimation of the amount of CO2 emitted within this section which subsequently would be a ground to better management and maintaining a sustainable society. This study which is a bachelor?s project in sustainable energy, deals with estimation of CO2 emission from different types of residential houses in Sweden. An extensive literature review on energy use in Sweden by different residential sectors has been conducted.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka och problematisera olika representationer av familj och släktskap i historieläroböcker, samt att belysa hur och varför familjehistoria bör utgöra en viktig del av historieämnet i skolan. De teoretiska ramarna är feministisk och postkolonial kritik. Uppsatsen har ett intersektionellt perspektiv vars syfte är att synliggöra och problematisera sociala kategorier såsom kön, sexualitet, etnicitet/nationalitet, klass och generation. Metoden är kritisk diskursanalys och komparation av fyra stycken läroböcker i historia för grundskolans senare år. Undersökningen visar att familj och släktskap förekommer i främst två olika sammanhang i läroböckernas beskrivningar: dels i den privata sfären i anslutning till vardagsliv, hem och hushåll, dels i den offentliga sfären i anslutning till den politiska makteliten.

Objective: To determine the frequency of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from healthy Swedish dogs and whether they are carriers of methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Material: Samples from skin from the perineal region and from faeces collected in the anus with cottonswab (Copan) from 299 healthy Swedish dogs. Samples were collected at dog exhibitions. Method: Specimens were submitted for bacterial culture where bacteria (Escherichia coli, enterococci and staphylococci) were isolated and identified by current methods. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed with a microdilution method where MIC-values were determined. Staphylococci with high degree of resistance were tested for presence of mecA-gene by PCR.

The project was performed in collaboration with Husqvarna, one of the world?s leading manufacturer in the market of electric outdoor products. The report is a thesis work of a bachelor mechanical engineer program, in the field product development and design.The project is a study of the development opportunities within drive belt for a gear driven gearbox to one of Husqvarnas petrol powered hedge trimmers. A big part of the project was also to find combinations of materials for all components in the gearbox, to reduce weight and maintain or improve the performance of the system. Belt drive was of interest to investigate as an alternative solution to the current design that can reduce wear on the system at a performance test performed in the company before the product is released to market.

The plants in the genus Elatine are characteristic for oligo and mesotrophic lakes. This study focuses on Elatine hexandra one of the four species in Sweden. It is stated as vulnerable by the National Environment Agency and a conservation plan with guidelines to preserve the plant in Sweden is under preparation. There have been a few previous studies investigating this plant in other countries but this is the first one for Sweden. Youth presentation of self on FacebookAuthors: Nicole Dreher & Anders SkoglundPresented: 01.06.2010Purpose: The purpose of this thesis was to examine how the, in the study, participating youths make their presentation of self on their Facebook profiles.Methodology: The method used in the thesis was a social semiotic analysis focusing on the social semiotic concepts: semiotic resource, semiotic potential, affordance, denotation and connotation. A social semiotic analysis of composition was also used with the purpose to gain a deeper knowledge of the social semiotic affordances of Facebook?s composition.Theoretical perspectives: The theoretical base of this thesis consists mainly of Erving Goffman?s theory on presentation of self in everyday life as well as relevant theories to youth culture in sociology and identity in social psychology.Conclusions: The results show that the youth?s presentations of selves mostly takes place in their profile picture, status updates, groups, fan pages and through their communication with other users on their wall. The borders between front and back stage on Facebook entirely depends on the norms that the reader expects the profile owner to uphold.

The Island of Öland has one of the best wind climates for land based wind power in Sweden. An objective for the Island is to become self sufficient using electricity from renewable source of energy such as wind. There is currently 55 MW capacity installed on the Island and it is estimated that grid congestion will occasionally occur if more than 135 MW was installed.The aim of this thesis is to investigate he possibilities for load management by smart charging of electric vehicles, EV. The definition of smart charging is that the charging is done to some extent with an ICT-system, (information and communication technology) that correlates wind electricity generation to the charging of electric vehicles. The purpose is to avoid grid congestions on the sub-sea cable that connects Öland to the mainland because that in turn would curtail wind energy production.

Begreppet heteronormativitet användes i litteraturen första gången 1993. Begreppet går att finna i ordböcker och lexikon från 2006, men endast ett par av de moderna ordböckerna och lexikonen har inför begreppet. Idag saknar begreppet en exakt definition. En begreppsanalys syftar till att identifiera karakteristika för ett begrepp genom undersökning av dess användning. Vårdrelationer kan och bör utvecklas till en vårdande relation, vilket bygger på en kontakt innefattande kropp, själ och ande mellan vårdare och patient.

This report is a documentation of a Master?s thesis of 20 credits performed at the educational program of Technical Product- and Production Development with Design at Halmstad University. The project is carried out in cooperation with Hafa AB in Halmstad.The purpose of this project was to bring forth a concept of a bathroom cabinet for Hafa?s new selection Young through creative design methods. The selection is supposed to attract the younger purchaser but also a target group that dare to experiment with home furnishing and appreciates new design.

The purpose behind our study was to analyze people who were born in the 1940s' reflections on life after the age of 60, as well as examining which strategies they had before retirement. The study built on the themes; leisure pursuit and social networks,retirement, life after the age of 60, the future care and the care needs and its mediums. These themes have also provided the base for our interview guide. In order to answer our aims and issues we chose to use a qualitative method. We have interviewed eight people born in the 1940s in order to provide a varied picture of their reflections and strategies for the future.
