The Swedish Textile industry has since the beginning of the 70-ties moved their production to countries with cheap labour further and further away. The production in the Baltic countries and Asia has become reality for many Swedish manufacturing companies. With today?s technology the communication with remote countries has ceased to be a problem. The difficulties have instead turned out to be more focused on transportation of goods and just in time deliveries to Sweden.

The thesis in product development ? mechanical design includes 15 credits and was carried out during the spring of 2014 at Semcon in Eskilstuna. The task is to construct a special machine for positioning and orientation of a key blank found in six different shapes, the construction is a part of a larger machine for encoding the key blank where a pick- and-place device or robot pick up the key blank and deliver it further in the process. The entire construction is designed for ASSA OEM Gothenburg.In order to accomplish the project the first step was to analyze the existing solutions to similar problems on the market in a current situation analysis to create an understanding of the problem. This was followed by a flow analysis and a functional analysis to get a deeper understanding of the problem and structuring the machine's process flow and its features.

This thesis is a qualitative study in which 12 award-winning printed adverts, awarded with either a Swedish ?Guldägg? or an international Clio Award, have been analyzed from a rhetorical perspective. Visual rhetorics were used to analyze the adverts in order to expose the rhetorical concepts and to find out whether the rhetorical concepts represented in the Swedish adverts are the same concepts represented in the international adverts. One of the conclusions drawn is that pathos-arguments, a rhetorical concept where the senders allude to the emotions of the receivers, are the most prominent in both Swedish and international adverts, but are used in different ways. Another conclusion drawn is that the adverts are overall characterized by their messages not being explicit.

Ett problem som många människor lever med i dagens samhälle är missbruk av alkohol eller droger. Inom socialtjänsten i Sverige används olika bedömningsmetoder för att fastställa klienters problem och hjälpbehov. En av dessa metoder är Addiction Severity Index (ASI) som rekommenderas av Socialstyrelsen i Nationella riktlinjer för missbruks- och beroendevården och som är en del i en överenskommelse i RIM-projektet i Uppsala län. Tidigare studier har visat att socialarbetare har en positiv attityd till ASI men trots det används metoden inte fullt ut eller i så stor utsträckning som kan förväntas.Syftet i föreliggande uppsats var att undersöka hur personal inom socialtjänsten implementerade ASI, det vill säga hur de använde och värderade metoden i verksamheten. Studiedesign var fallstudie i vilken intervjuer utfördes med 10 socialsekreterare i Enköping och Uppsala.

It is important to understand the process of appraisal of a business in order to establish its value. The purpose of our thesis is to establish which methods and models are used when evaluating a business and investigate the factors that may affect the value and price tag of a business. We have used a qualitative approach by conducting both indepth interviews and a survey as well as reading literature within the field. The main conslusion in our findings is that the common practice of discounted cash flow is widely used when bestowing a monetary value for a business, and in order to raise the value a well established customer relationship was the single most important factor. As far as lowering the value, the answers were of such a wide spread that a single factor could not be attributed.

Purpose: We wish to gain a deep knowledge about product development processes in relation to the aspect of time in companies in highly technological and rapidly changing markets. The purpose is to establish how organizations better can employ time as a resource to make the product development process more efficient. Conclusions: Information we gathered from theory and primary data show that information flow, synchronization and time profit when seeing time in three dimensions are factors which should be reflected in the architecture of a product development process. The main focus for this essay is to describe the relationship between human and nature through a material investigation that takes its shape through sculpture. With the help of a fairytale-like story the reader can share the creation of the sculpture and how my thoughts flow through the process that will result in an exam project. Rooted in earlier projects I discuss the crash between civilization and the wilderness as well as talking about the likeness of the creative process and child play. I also discuss the body's place in the forest and the loneliness that we humans created that has cut us off from the rest of the creatures and plants in the forest. My aim is that in the final piece I will create a fiction place where these can be joined together again.

Den här rapporten beskriver och utvärderar ett antal algoritmer för multisensordatafusion av radar och IR/TV-data på rådatanivå. Med rådatafusion menas att fusionen ska ske innan attribut- eller objektextrahering. Attributextrahering kan medföra att information går förlorad som skulle kunna förbättra fusionen. Om fusionen sker på rådatanivå finns mer information tillgänglig och skulle kunna leda till en förbättrad attributextrahering i ett senare steg. Två tillvägagångssätt presenteras.

Bakgrund/Litteraturgenomgång: Skolan spelar en viktig roll när det gäller att formaungdomars sexuella hälsa. Samtidigt konkurrerar skolan med media som informationskanal.Forskning visar att ungdomar idag tar större sexuella risker och sexuellt överförbarainfektioner ökar. En utvärdering visar att sexualundervisningen i skolorna är bristfällig och vilar på ett patogent perspektiv. Upplevelsebaserat lärande är en metod som delvis används i undervisningen. Metoden grundar sig på att eleverna skapar erfarenheter genom aktivt deltagande i olika simuleringar.

In the 1940s, 50s and 60s the two youth movements of the beats and the hippies emerged in the United States. Disagreeing with the progressive positivism of the previous generations these youths were part of a counter culture that adhered to an ideal of living in the present.Alan Wilson Watts (1915?1973), most known for his popularization of eastern philosophy and religion in general and Zen-Buddhism in particular, became one of the most influential and well-read advocates of the new movements. Drawing upon eastern philosophy and religion as well as modern psychology, Watts challenged the western world view by rejecting the dualism of self and environment, arguing that man is one with God and nature and claiming that nothing exists but the present experience here and now.Based on Watts? view of man and reality, and in the context of the emerging youth movements, this study examines Watts? criticism of western culture and society as well as his view on happiness and the possibility of a better life for the individual living in the west.The study shows that, according to Watts, the root of the problem facing western society lies in man?s incapability of distinguishing concept from reality, preferring abstract ideas and symbols to the experience present in everyday life.

Därför är underrättelsemetoden Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (IPB) vägledande för svensk underrättelsetjänsts framtagande av beslutsunderlag. Försvarsmaktens underrättelsehandbok betraktar dock IPB som en inte ?i alla avseenden tydlig? metod. Eftersom krigföring inom mark-, luft- och den maritima arenan karaktäriseras av olika faktorer, vilka ej framgår i IPB, existerar här ett problemområde.

This thesis studies the way valuation of investment properties is conducted in accordance with IAS 40 and how reliable these valuations are. This has been conducted by studying ten Swedish real estate companies listed on the NASDAQ OMX, during the period 2005-2008. The study shows that all companies use valuation models to determine the fair value of investment properties. Two different types of models have been identified. Companies that use the cash flow model show inconsistencies in time horizon, and how they determine the horizon value.

Syftet med arbetet har varit att se hur Sverige respektive Finland har implementerat MKB-direktivets bestämmelser avseende kraven på redovisning av alternativ i en MKB. Syftet har även varit att genom att studera redan upprättade MKB:er i Sverige och Finland, analysera hur alternativkraven tillämpas i praktiken. Av särskilt intresse har varit att se om implementeringen av alternativkraven i de bägge länderna har resulterat i några skillnader avseende vilka alternativ som redovisats och hur de har redovisats. Metoden som använts i arbetet för att uppnå dessa syften har varit den rättsdogmatiska metoden och den komparativa metoden. Utifrån arbetet har vi kunnat dra slutsatsen att trots att det föreligger tydliga skillnader i Sveriges respektive Finlands genomförande av MKB-direktivets alternativkrav, tycks resultatet bli att den faktiska redovisningen av alternativen i de upprättade MKB:erna i allt väsentligt är den samma.
