Husaberg Scandinavia AB is a company producing and developing a range of motorcycles for both on- and off-road use. Husaberg provided the project group with a task of developing an entirely new way of operating the sequential transmission that can be found in today?s motorcycles. The target was to bring the product from idea to a functional prototype ready for further tests. Operation of the motorcycles transmission is today made by a foot pedal placed on the left hand side of the bike.

I samband med att Wechsler Memory Scales-III översatts och utprovats för svenska och norska förhållanden har deltestet Ansikten analyserats med avseende på fenomen som sedan tidigare är kända kring ansiktsigenkänning. Med hjälp av signaldetektionsteori har den eventuella förekomsten av own race bias och könsskillnader undersökts samt kontrollerats för ålder och utbildning. Slutsatsen är att varken kön eller etnicitet har någon avgörande påverkan på testresultatet och de behöver därför inte särskilt beaktas när personer liknande de som ingår i utprövningsgruppen testas med WMS-III. The sample population in the study was two trotters, one Standardbred, and one cold-blood. Given the small sample population, the results of the study is only indicative on the effects of gallop training on trotters, and not conclusive.

This essay examines how non-swedish feminist activists look upon the conditions of their work, in relation to the broader context of womens activism in Sweden. It focuses on relationships between feminist activists and their organisations, on issues of cooperation and also on activists definitions of the concept of feminism. Activists from two different non-swedish womens organisations, both located in Stockholm, have been interviewed. Consequenses of intersections of race, class and gender connected to womens activism have been analysed. Through an intersectional analysis the authour tries to answer questions regarding the positions of womens organisations, relationsships between them, definitions of feminism and the possibilities of cooperations - to shed a light on the power relations of womens organisations in Sweden..

Syftet med studien har varit att dekonstruera FN:s förståelse av hot över tid för att diskutera organisationens möjligheter att bekämpa dessa hot i relation till de förväntningar som FN har och har haft på framtiden. Det analysen har visat är att hoten mot internationell fred och säkerhet inte längre konstrueras som dispyter eller konflikter mellan nationer. Istället är det ekonomiska hot, hot mot global goods, internationell terrorism, spridningen av massförstörelsevapen och individer i nöd som Ban Ki-moon konstruerar som hotbilder mot internationell fred och säkerhet, det vill säga det FN syftar till att motverka.Lösningen har alltid varit att hot emot internationell fred och säkerhet ska lösas inom ramen för FN, men själva lösningen har skiftat i karaktär. Från att FN kan ses som en arena där nationer får möjlighet till samtal, till att FN ska verka som en neutral eller oberoende aktör, och slutligen att FN ska ta ledarskapet genom att hantera hoten genom organisationens komparativa fördelar och ingå partnerskap med både statliga och icke-statliga aktörer för att bekämpa hoten. Vilket analysen visar då de aktörer som är involverade för att åstadkomma internationell fred och säkerhet har förändrats över tid.

Purpose/Aim: The comprehensive purpose is to study how the political journalism is framed, and how the party leaders, with focus on the authority, are constructed in the press.Material/Method: Firstly 84 articles articles printed in the swedish newspapers Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet have been analysed. Secondly, a textual analysis by means of a critical discourse analysis.Main results: Media are inclined to frame politics as a game or a strategic race. The partyleaders are ascribed authority in different ways. This ascribed authority can also be deconstructed.Key words: Media and politics, party leader, discourse, democracy, framing theory.

AbstractThis literal review intended to assess and shed light upon if west-centric feminism justifiesthe neoliberal globalization that reproduces the reproduction of inequality in the world.The result indicated that sex is not sufficient to categorize a universal group of women andthat other aspects of social structures such as class, caste, ethnicity, race, religion and ageshould be included in transnational feminism, and that this discourse needs to becharacterized by contextual understanding of culture and power. Neoliberalism has createdspace for personal freedom and choice, but all do not possess the same conditions to utilisetools to attain positive progress in regard to these choices. Furthermore, this study hasrevealed that feminism is subordinate to the globalization of neoliberalism and that thepost-feminist trend could be perceived as being discrepant with a progressive transnationalfeminist movement..

The intention of this essay is to inquire into the (re-)constitution of gendered/sexed identities in a gothicistic discourse. The used material is the work Atlantica, chapter 5, vol. 2, written by the Swedish historian/Medical professor Olof Rudbeck. I have chosen this chapter for its description of mythological characters relationship with the earth, the sun and the moon. A description based on a concept of strength and reproduction as gendered characteristics.

Uppsatsens syfte är att se hur homosexuella diskurser är framställda i utvalda japanska tecknade TV-serier för barn, samt hur dessa ändrats när dessa TV-serier importerats till USA.Med utgångspunkt från Norman Faircloughs diskursanalytiska modell har nyckelscener från de utvalda TV-serierna Cardcaptor Sakura och Sailor Moon analyserats från ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv.I de anime jag analyserat är homosexuella respektfullt gestaltade och det är sällan fokuserat på homosexualiteten. Dock förekommer vissa heteronormativa mönster som att maskulint och feminint kompletterar varandra även i samkönade par. Homosexualitet är dessutom inte alltid så tydligt framställt vilket kan tyda på osynliggörande eller inkludering på samma villkor som heterosexualitet. I de amerikanska versionerna har homosexualitet helt censurerats genom klipp i scener och ändrade dialoger. I ett fall har en man gjorts om till kvinna så att förhållandet istället blivit heterosexuellt och i ett annat fall har ett kärlekspar gjorts om till kusiner..

With the increasing number of adoptees in Sweden, so has the amount of literature regarding different aspects of adoption. The aim of this study is to explore the construction of adoptees in children's literature. It takes on a social constructionism view, by regarding language as a narrative tool in which human beings construct versions of different phenomenon. By exploring the different discourses in the data within the context adoption, we can identify different versions of "the adopted child" and their needs as it is constructed in the literature. Also, by putting them in a bigger context, we are allowed to see the social structures and the discursive conditions that allow a certain child perspective of "the adopted child" to take place.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the representation of race, social class and gender in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. Postcolonial theory, including terms such as cultural hegemony, whiteness and Michel Foucaults definition of power, has served as the basis for the analysis. The postcolonial theory has been combined with class theory and gender theory for an intersectional analysis. Semiotic analysis has been used as the method in the thesis, and a total of nine story missions ? three for each protagonist in the game ? have constituted the material.

Studien fokuserar på Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, och hur det implementeras i företag i Sverige. De tre typerna av företag; tjänsteföretag, varuproducerande företag och företag som erbjuder en blandning mellan en tjänst och en vara studeras i syfte att öka förståelsen för hur CSR implementeras.CSR handlar om företags sociala ansvarstagande, och rör frågor som miljö och etik. Konceptet är på frammarsch i Europa, och företags tycks känna en press att engagera sig i CSR-aktiviteter (Matten och Moon, 2008). Studiens teoretiska referensram baseras bland annat på Maignans et al (2005) modell om CSR-implementering.Åtta företag som arbetar aktivt med CSR-frågor är föremål för studien. Tre av företagen består av tjänsteföretag, tre är varuproducerande företag, och två består av företag som erbjuder en blandning mellan en vara och en tjänst.

This essay is about the modern Swedish Nazi movement in relation to the German Nazi movement before and during the Second World War. The analysis is made using the Nazi Myth theory as described by French philosophers Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe & Jean-Luc Nancy. Theory and method are aimed at analysing the Nazi movement as a religious one. In this essay I have identified five main Nazi Myth elements required to realize Nazi ideals and embraced by original German Nazis. Through text analysis I have studied how Swedish Nazis use and reproduce these elements.The result will show that the main elements are well represented in modern Swedish Nazi texts and must be considered as central and bearing in modern Swedish Nazism. However, modern Swedish Nazism is also different from original German Nazism in some ways, for example in view of race, land and art..
