Aim: To describe perceptions about written and verbal information regarding diet and physical activity in women with breast cancer and to study possible differences between ages and perception. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted and consisted of 57 women with breast cancer stages I-III who started adjuvant chemotherapy within a year (2007-2008). A Questionnaire, regarding their perceptions about the written and verbal information they had received about diet and physical activity, was responded to three months following treatment completion. Between 67-93 % of the participants responded to the questions. The answers was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-test.

Abstrakt Arbetstillfredsställelse är ett väl studerat område inom arbetspsykologin. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka skillnader i upplevd arbetstillfredsställelse mellan anställningsgraderna heltidsanställning och deltidsanställning samt mellan frivillig-, ofrivillig deltidsanställning och heltidsanställning. Studien syftade även till att undersöka olika bakgrundsfaktorers relation till arbetstillfredsställelse. Studien genomfördes bland gymnasielärare i Bergs- och Östersunds kommun i Jämtlands län, med hjälp av en enkätundersökning. Totalt deltog 91 lärare, varav 42 män och 49 kvinnor.

The purpose of this study was to examine the routines of performance related pay systems in two Swedish municipal upper secondary schools. A second purpose was to examine what data was included for evaluation of a co-worker?s performance and how a principal collects data. The purpose was also to examine a principal and teachers´ view of performance related pay systems and if it was possible to note an agreement. Principals have been interviewed and teachers have answered a Questionnaire to fulfil the purposes of this study.The study shows that the municipality had a good routine that included individual discussions with co-workers about their salary and had fixed municipal criteria.

Aim. The aim of the study is to highlight Dutch nurses? opinions about assisted death. Background. Since 2002 it has been legally justified for physicians to assist a patients? death in the Netherlands.

Triage, which means "to sort", determine the priority of the patients need of care. The aim of the present study was to describe nurses? perception of triage at a pediatric emergency department. A Questionnaire with open- and closed-ended questions were distributed to all 25 nurses that worked at a pediatric emergency department. The answer frequency was 48 % (n=12).

Our aim in this study is to explore if the schoolchildren?s written language differs from the?National tests? in Swedish and from Facebook. We specifically want to see if we candiscover words and expressions mainly from the English language or other languages in the?National tests? in Swedish written by the schoolchildren in the ages between 18-20 yearsold. The methods that we used to discover the results in this study was; to interview threeteachers, have 30 schoolchildren answer a Questionnaire survey, analyze 30 written ?Nationaltests? in Swedish by the schoolchildren and finally analyze two Facebook walls from twoschoolchildren.

The habits of living are seen as important factors for public health, and are related to the primary socialization. Exercise and food habits are two main factors for development of health or ill health and are both related to the overweight epidemic. The overweight increase among children and youth has been given particular attention. The aim of this study is to examine how 15 year olds Body Mass Index, food- and exercise habits are connected to each other and also how they are related to socialization. The study is a cross sectional survey among 208 pupils in ninth grade, Kristianstad.

Tidigare empirisk forskning förevisade samband mellan optimism och hälsa, likaså mellan self-efficacy och hälsa. Föreliggande undersöknings syfte var att utifrån könsskillnader mellan kvinnor och män undersöka hur op­timism och self-efficacy samverkar med deras självskattade hälsotillstånd. Deltagarna var 190 högskolestudenter, varav 113 kvinnor, i Mellansverige. Statis­tisk analys utfördes genom t-test, multipel linjär regressionsanalys och jämförelse mellan korrelationskoefficienter. Mätinstrumenten Life Orientation Test?Revised, General Health Questionnaire och General Self-efficacy Scale, samt ett påstående om fysisk hälsa användes.

Tidig socioemotionell hälsa har visat sig ha betydelse för barnets senare utveckling (Leuzinger-Bohleber, 2014). Om problem i denna uppstår kan det leda till psykisk ohälsa vilket gör det viktigt att tidigt undersöka barns socioemotionella hälsa. Syftet med studien var att undersöka socioemotionell hälsa hos treåringar i Västerbotten. Vidare, att undersöka om det finns könsskillnader samt om det finns ett samband med kostvanor. För att undersöka detta användes självskattningsinstrumentet Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Social Emotional (ASQ:SE) där föräldrar till treåringar (N = 878) skattade barnets  socioemotionella hälsa.

Teknikens roll i samhället ökar och större delen av befolkningen behöver hantera olika föremål och tjänster, vilket kan medföra svårigheter vid användning. Syftet med studien var att beskriva relevans och svårigheter i användning av vardagsteknik i dagliga aktiviteter hos personer i åldrarna 45-64 år. Studien designades med kvantitativ ansats. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 40 personer från landsbygd och storstad. Datainsamling genomfördes med det standardiserade bedömningsinstrumentet Everyday Use Technology Questionnaire (ETUQ II), bearbetades i dataprogram och redovisades med deskriptiv statistik.

The purpose of this quantitative study has been to investigate teenager?s perception of obsessions and compulsive acts. Teenager?s perceptions and experiences as well as connections between the taboos surrounding the topic and the perception have been examined. The study has taken in to consider gender perspective, in regards to certain topics.

Syftet med studien var att få kunskap om vilka motivationsfaktorer, inre och yttre, som är viktiga hos personal inom serviceyrken. Vidare studerades den uppfattade sammanhållningen inom målgruppen. Av speciellt intresse var att studera korrelationer mellan sammanhållning och inre/yttre motivationsfaktorer samt om kontroll i arbetet och socialt stöd inverkar på dessa faktorer. I undersökningen deltog 88 individer, 38 män och 50 kvinnor, i åldrarna 18-65 (M=34,63 Sd=12,40). Datainsamlingen skedde med hjälp av ett frågeformulär baserat på QPS Nordic och Group Environment Questionnaire (GEQ).

This aim of this thesis is to measure the effect of the user interface in real searches on the Internet through a small experiment. Theories on web and search usability and psychological factors concerning usability were first explored. Then three interfaces were constructed, one "good" that followed usability guidelines and had multiple search functions, one "bad" that completely disobeyed those guidelines and had only a simple and small search field, and one "intermediate" interface that was a mix of the two. The search field was set to different sizes, with the shortest in the "bad" interface, a medium field in the "intermediate" interface and several long fields in the "good" interface. All three interfaces were then attached to the same web search engine, Altavista.

This case study, ?The sense of place in a courtyard in Gothenburg?, examines whether the city planners? vision correspond to the residents? perception regarding the sense of place and the physical environment in a courtyard in Gothenburg. By carrying out a Questionnaire survey, the inhabitants? perception has been explicated, which we have then compared to the total vision for the design of the courtyard that we have gathered from doing interviews with the planning executive, the developer and the landscape architect as well as reviewing the development plan. The study has shown that the vision coincides relatively well with the residents? perception, but it differenciates when it comes to social aspects.
