Abstract Title: PR consultants and bloggers; a win-win situation? -  A study of PR consultants? new adaptations in the labour market due to the emergence of fashion bloggers. Authors: Cecilia Girell, Sandra Kjellstro?m Tutor: Ylva Ekstro?mPurpose: With the expansion of the Internet, fashion bloggers have gotten more power. A few companies have understood this powerful and reasonable cheap marketing channel. Despite this, most companies still feel powerless, but what has happened to the work of PR consultants in this constant changing media environment? The ones whos purpose is to act as intermediaries between companies and various media channels.

This paper is interested in Swedish psychiatry during the period between 1930-1950,localized to Mariebergs hospital in Sweden. The purpose of this paper has been to testSjöstroms evidence of the pattern that he used to create three analytical concepts, roughlytranslated to; morally educative discipline-treatment, the production process and the idealinstitution citizen. Sjöström motivates that his concepts gives insight into one aspect of thepsychiatric expansion between 1860-1960 as well as creates an understanding of psychiatryas an institution. The source material for this paper has been patients' medical notes writtenby the chief physician of the institution. Via a method which mainly different from Sjöstromin its selection, categorization and more thorough presentation, this paper has seen the samepatterns which Sjöström has created his three concepts from.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the Management Control System is affected by a change in the owner structure from family owned to not-family owned. The study also tries to identify explaining factors behind the possible effects to the Management Control System. The study is based on a comprehensive case study on the company Alcro-Beckers which, in year 2001, was acquired from the owner Lindéngruppen fully owned by Ulf G Lindén. The acquirer was the non-family owned company Kemira OY, a Finnish stock listed group. The empirical foundation mainly comes from interviews conducted with people who were/are directly connected to the company, either as employees or as representatives for the owner.

Den höga graden av inflyttning till städer idag, med en hög efterfrågan på mark i centrala lägen, bidrar till att priset på ett liv i staden ökar. En effekt av det är att nedgångna stadsdelar tas över av en samhällsklass med en bättre ekonomi än de ursprungliga invånarna. Fenomenet kallas gentrifiering och kan ses i området Hornstull i Stockholm. Media beskriver Hornstull som en stadsdel som har gått från ruffig till trendig. Syftet med det här arbetet är att genom en fallstudie av Hornstull i Stockholm, att undersöka fysiska och sociala faktorer av gentrifiering från ett näringsidkarperspektiv. I fallstudien intervjuades småföretagare baserat på hur länge de verkat på platsen och vilken typ av verksamhet de bedriver. Tre sakkunniga med olika yrkesroller inom stadsplanering intervjuades för att bidra med yrkesspecifika åsikter om gentrifiering i allmänhet och mer specifikt om processen i Hornstull.

Ingen som läser tidningar, surfar på Internet eller tittar på TV kan undgå att lägga märke till pokerns lavinartade expansion. Poker på Internet och live på TV, i s.k. pokerklubbar och privat, har blivit allt mer accepterad och därmed mer synlig. Spelmarknad på Internet såväl i Sverige som internationellt expanderar varje dag. Utvecklingen har lett till en kraftig ökning av antalet webbsidor där i princip alla, som är över 18 år, har ett kontokort och tillgång till dator med Internetuppkoppling, kan prova lyckan i poker.

New national curriculums are issued in order to change the present state of the educational system in a nation. In 2011 the old curriculum, the Läroplanen för de frivilliga skolformerna (LPF94) was replaced by the Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011 (GY11). As future teachers we are interested in how a new curriculum affects the work of teachers concerning planning, teaching and examination from the teacher?s point of view.We conducted interviews with five teachers working at upper secondary schools (16-19 year olds) in Kalmar county. Our theoretical framework is based on curriculum theory and concepts of Leonard Bernstein: framing and classification.

Att uppmärksamma och kartlägga en organisations inre liv kan hjälpa till ökad förståelse för medarbetarens tillfredsställelse och öka beredskapen för framtidens förändringar. Denna studie är ett försök till en helhetlig bild av ett företag i förändring genom delarna organisationsklimat, arbetstillfredsställelse och personalomsättning. Organisationsklimatet kartläggs utifrån en modell där komponenter som ledarskap, personalpolitik, individer m.m. ligger till grund för ett antal intervjuer. Studien visar att klimatet som präglar valda undersökningsrena kategoriseras av snabba beslut och ett på grund av företagets expansion och historia, både personalmässigt och strukturellt haltande.

Two ecological models of nitrogen processes in treatment wetlands have been evaluated and compared. These models have been implemented, simulated, and visualized in the Modelica language. The differences and similarities between the Modelica modeling environment used in this thesis and other environments or tools for ecological modeling have been evaluated. The modeling tools evaluated are PowerSim, Simile, Stella, the MathModelica Model Editor, and WEST. The evaluation and the analysis have been performed using McCall?s factors for software quality (McCall et al, 1977), a correlation analysis and the Constant Comparative Method (Glaser&Strauss, 1999).

During 2008 we experienced an expansion of large scale investments in foreign farmland. This increasing trend has become a political hot-spot, but there is not much research available within the field. Due to a lack of research it remains a vital task to outline the potential effects of this trend. Drawing on existing ideas from some of the main actors within the field, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), The World Bank, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the latest G8 summit on agriculture, four main purposes are set out for this paper. First, to outline some of the underlying mechanisms behind the trend is considered crucial for the understanding of the nature of these investments.

Utbyggnaden av externhandeln under de senaste decennierna har medfört en ökad konkurrens för cityhandeln i Sverige. De olika marknadsplatserna präglas av en allt större likriktning av butiksutbudet, framför allt när det gäller andelen kedjebutiker. Detta gäller främst externhandelns köpcentrum, men är även ett fenomen i stadskärnornas gallerior. Cityhandeln bör differentiera sin produkt gentemot externhandeln för att locka kunderna till city. Detta kan ske genom att exempelvis erbjuda en bred butiksmix.

Large-scale land investments is not a new phenomenon, but increasing prices on food and agrofuels have inflated prices on land and has led to an enhanced interest in landinvestments from a range of different actors. The ProSavana project in the Nacala corridor in the Nampula province, northern Mozambique is a large-scale land investment with the purpose of establishing intensive commercial agriculture and is planned to be implemented this year (2013). The project is financed by Brazil and Japan in collaboration with the government of Mozambique. It is not quite clear how large-scale land investments affect the areas they are implemented in and how they can affect the possibilities for sustainable development in these areas. Both opportunities and problems can be observed within the social, economic and ecological dimensions of sustainable development.

Boliden Mineral Ab's mine in Garpenberg, Dalarna is going through a massiveexpansion. The annual ore production is being increased from 1,4 million tons to 2,5million tons in less than two years period of time. Along this expansion thedepartment of mining techniques is administrating a project of optimizing the shortterm planning for the mining production. Garpenberg have since mid 90s storedinformation from all mining processes in a database.The information consists of time data from all the different activities required in themining process, for example charging, blasting, loading etc. The database also containstime data of delays that are affecting the production.

The purpose of this study is to show the technical building requirements for modern arenas inSweden. The study will also create an understanding of how the requirements affect theSwedish football arenas which are affected by the regulations valid from 2014. As one of theSwedish football arenas there is Örjans Vall located in Halmstad. The aim of this study is todevelop alternative solutions regarding the technical problems Örjans Vall is facing 2014,when the new arena requirements for ?Svensk elitfotboll? are taken into use.

In the centre of Bromma, east of Brommaplan is the part of Bromma named Riksby. Riksby was built in the early 1940:s as a part of the westward expansion of Stockholm. Other places that were built at the same time was for ex. Stora Mossen and Abrahamsberg. This work is about the outdoor environment of the housing co-operative of Brickbandet.

Vi ville med vår uppsats undersöka om strategiska allianser inom den internationella flygbranschen har lett till att medlemmarna i alliansen åtnjutit en förbättrad lönsamhet och expansion i verksamheten.Den alliansen vi hade fokus på för undersökningen var Star Alliance och vi granskade utvecklingen av de utvalda lönsamhetsmåtten hos de fem flygbolagen som var med och upprättade denna allians. Vi undersökte även lönsamhetsfaktorerna för fyra flygbolag, som för den studerade tidsperioden inte ingick i någon strategisk allians. Dessa användes som jämförelseobjekt.Urvalet gjordes utifrån att det var just dessa fem flygbolag som upprättade alliansen och att denna allians var den första av sitt slag. Urvalet av de fyra jämförelsebolagen gjordes utifrån att dessa var de få flygbolag av den traditionella typen som under studiens utvalda tidsperiod inte ingick i någon liknande allians.Vi genomförde undersökningen genom att samla information hämtad ifrån flygbolagens årsredovisningar från 1994 till 2004 och försökte upptäcka trendbrott i nyckeltalens utvecklingar efter det att Star Alliance upprättades. För att förstärka tillförlitligheten av undersökningen använde vi de fyra jämförelseflygbolagen och genomförde en statistisk hypotesprövning för att testa om det förelåg någon signifikant skillnad gällande utvecklingen av lönsamhetsfaktorerna mellan bolagen i Star Alliance och jämförelsebolagen.Resultatet av vår undersökning var att ingen tydlig lönsamhetsförbättring skett för bolagen inom Star Alliance.
