Mitt syfte med denna uppsats är att analysera den statliga offentliga utredningen SOU 2001:10 Barn i homosexuella familjer, för att se hur den normala respektive den onormala familjen skapas genom olika distinktioner. Jag fokuserar på hur kön/genus och begär kan ses som betydelsebärande konstruktioner i skapandet av den hetero- och den homosexuella familjen, samt den heterosexuella normens makt att begripliggöra handlingar, beteenden och kategorier.Jag analyserar min empiri, SOU 2001:10, med hjälp av feministiska och Queer teoretiska utgångspunkter, där inspiration hämtats från dessa teoriers konstruktivistiska och dekonstruktivistiska ansatser. Jag har i uppsatsen varit intresserad av att visa hur Queerteori kan användas för att dekonstruera ett empiriskt material som har materiell och kulturell betydelse.I uppsatsen visar jag hur Butlers heterosexuella matris kan användas för att förstå hur den homosexuella familjen normeras i utredningen. I kapitlet Familjens ?ontologi? visar jag hur den homosexuella familjen och den heterosexuella familjen skapar varandra och hur den heterosexuella hegemonin drar upp gränserna för de (o)begripliga familjerna..

Samuelsson, Camilla & Solca, Marlene (2010). Den normkritiska dramapedagogen? ?En undersökning om dramapedagogers uppfattningar av att arbeta normkritiskt. C-uppsats i dramapedagogik, Akademin för utbildning och ekonomi, Högskolan i Gävle.Syftet med undersökningen är att belysa och problematisera vad det kan innebära för dramapedagoger att arbeta utifrån ett normkritiskt förhållningssätt. Det undersöks med frågeställningarna:- Hur går det att förstå och tolka dramapedagogers erfarenhet av att arbeta normkritiskt? - Vilka strategier går det att finna i dramapedagogers normkritiska arbete? - Vilka styrkor för att arbeta normkritiskt går det att finna inom dramapedagogiken? - Finns det några svårigheter i mötet mellan dramapedagogik och normkritisk pedagogik?Undersökningen är kvalitativ med en hermeneutisk ansats som utgår från Queer- och intersektionalitetsteorier och anti-opressive education.

The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of how nursing home staff at dementia care facilities interpret, treat and manages sexual behavior of patients. Four group interviews were made with a total of thirteen participants from three different dementia care facilities. The collected material was processed and thematized in pursuance of the research questions of the study. The results were analysed using three concepts from Queer theory; heteronormativity, the heterosexual matrix and power, as well as an article about how nursing home staff constructs actions of patients. The results showed that staff member?s assessments about the patient?s sexual behaviours depended on their posture towards the norm of what is considered to be acceptable.

Sweden has an active and growing culture of feminist comic book artists that use comedy as a mean of disseminating political ideas and critic. In this essay I do a reparative reading of Sara Granér?s comic book All I Want for Christmas is planekonomi in order to find out if it advocates alternative orders and/or ways of expression. By exploring what the comic book does to me as a reader and how, using the term ?skev? ? a hybrid of Queer that examines normativity not strictly tied to sexuality ? and gulesque theory ? a mix of feminism, cuteness, the grotesque and riot grrrl ?, I show that the comic book, through the use of comedy, works as a trojan My Little Pony, reclaiming the girly franchise, while challenging several so-called dichotomies, such as: femininity/masculinity; youth/adult; high art/kitsch.

The aim of the study was to examine which approach future social workers have regarding specific competence in the meeting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and Queer clients. Previous research shows that LGBTQ people have a low confidence towards social services, police and courts and say they face discrimination and degrading treatment to a greater extent than the heterosexual population. Research shows that education and better skills of LGBTQ culture among professionals can change the situation.The essay is based on a model of cultural competence in working with sexual minorities and people with a transgender expression. The model defines the meaning of an LGBTQ perspective and is designed to improve social work with LGBTQ clients.The study is quantitative and empirical data consists of 203 survey responses from students with a long experience of the social work education. The analysis of the results is based on the cultural competence three principles; attitudes, knowledge and skills.

The novel American Psycho was first published in 1991. It recieved harsh criticism and was viewed as a work of heterosexism, misogyny and pointless violence. Despite the criticism, the protagonist, a wealthy serial killer yuppie namned Patrick Bateman, fascinated the readers. He hides his monstrosity behind a façade of heteronormativity, but this essay shows that the norms in American Psycho are fragile. Batemans relationships are shallow, his identity is constructed out of traditional masculinitynorms and even though he?s homophobic there?s a homoerotic undertone in the text, as well as gothic patterns that give the novel a fair amount of Queerness too.

This study focuses on single peoples construction of their lifes in relation to normative heterosexual coupledom. It is based on five interviews made with single women and men at the age of 24 to 51 who live by themselves. The Queer theory which puts the heteronormativity in question is used as a theoretical framework. Discourse psychology functions as an analytic approach. It focuses on the use of language in the construction of reality in a world of determinant discourses.

The aim of the study is to examine which present conceptions of sexuality there are in treatment of substance abuse for men. The intention is to examine how staff members in these environments perceive clients? sex and sexuality as well as studying if and in that case how they work with sexuality in treatment. A qualitative method formed the methodological approach and semistructured interviews were carried out for the collection of data. Four staff members from two different treatment institutions for substance abuse were interviewed.

In Malin Kivelä?s novel Du eller aldrig (2006) the reader experiences the world through the body of Aija, the narrator; a middle aged woman living in Helsinki. Aija has no family or other social relations. Hers is a life of strict routine: she spends her time reading, cleaning and studying snowflakes. Critics of the novel have stressed that Aija?s way of narrating creates a strong sense of presence in the text, but also that Aija?s atypical social behavior evokes a sense of loneliness and alienation.

The purpose of the essay is to examine the views on sexuality that guide the Swedish Migration board and court?s judgments and decisions in asylum cases. The essay investigates seven cases from the Swedish Migration court regarding asylum seekers from seven different countries seeking protection in Sweden due to their sexuality and/or gender identity. By applying discourse analysis, along with the theoretical perspectives of Judith Butler and the postcolonial critique of Chandra Talpade Mohanty, the essay discuss what kind of criteria and/or practice is demanded of the asylum seekers to be rendered as trustworthy. The essay concludes that the asylum seekers are considered untrustworthy by the migration authorities when not acting according to a (hetero)normative sexuality.

The purpose of this thesis is to do an inventory of Swedish Bronze Age rock carvings depicting intercourse, and other sexual acts; applying gender traits on these in order to get a glimpse of what kind of normative outlook people at this time had upon sexuality. .

I ett försök att låta poststrukturalismen närma sig materia, för min studie samman en Queer psykoanalytisk syn på subjektskap, presenterad av Judith Butler, med miffoteori, en poststrukturell förståelse av funktionalitet, mestadels influerad av Robert McRuer och Lennard J. Davis, för att undersöka hur ramverket inom vilket subjektskap kan intas påverkas. Studien visar att det normata är kontextuellt definierat, och vidare att subjektskap är beroende av mötet mellan subjektet och en potentiellt funktionshindrande miljö; i vilken subjektet antingen passerar som normat eller inte. Detta rörliga subjektskap påverkas därigenom av faktorer såsom rädslan för det miffoeska, en kapitalistisk syn på medborgarskap samt möjligheten att (undermedvetet) nå en (temporär) position mellan det normata och det miffoeska, vars förhållande även genererar en ökad möjlighet för subversivt motstånd. Vidare menar jag att detta kan sägas utgöra ett ramverk inom vilket det blir möjligt att studera subjektskapet, genererat av maktordningar såsom klass, etnicitet etc..

Syftet med denna studie var att försöka få en inblick i hur det är att leva i den komplexa kontexten i att ha en hbt (homo-bi-trans) läggning och att vara kristen. Vi ville på individnivå försöka tolka och förstå genom ett Queerteoretiskt perspektiv. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie som baseras på sex halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Vidare ligger studiens fokus på personer som har ett aktivt liv inom den kristna kontexten. De begrepp som genomsyrar hela studien är heteronormativitet, hbt och stigmatisering.

This is a qualitative study based on five semi-structured interviews in Sweden. The aim of the study is to explore what experiences non-monogamous people have of dating and the social support surrounding them. The study investigates what effects norms and normative structures have on non-monogamous dating. This is done through a thematic analysis with Queer theory, and the underlying theoretical concepts performativity, heteronormativity, mononormativity, relationship escalator and Queer temporalities. To help analyze the social support, we have used Bourdieu's (1986) theory about social capital.
