There is a settled stereotype for women and men which give them different possibilities in our society. The schools, which are one of the most important sources of knowledge, have a great possibility to influence. This is the reason why we are interested in how the schools are working with a project, which we will call X henceforth. What was the purpose with the project and what does it contain? What is missing in the former education, since the project was started? Are there any obstacles or prerequisite in the design of the project or in the school teaching on the basis of X? We have done interviews in the gathering of empirical material to find out all the answers to our questions.

My study focuses on how heterosexuality became, and still is, the norm for sexuality in Namibia. My aim is to through interviewing young academics from University of Namibia and by using discourse analysis, Queer- and postcolonial theory, try to find out how these young academics perceive sexuality. My findings are that my respondents perceive heterosexuality to be natural, normal and given by god, and that they perceive homosexuality to be ?a big no-no?. There are certain institutions in the Namibian society that regulates how the Namibian people thinks about sexuality, and my findings are that these are Christianity, culture, family, government, and the traditional picture of a good man and a good woman.

In this paper I have examined how the structure of society affects the characters in the movies of Gus Van Sant, and what there is that characterizes Van Sant as an auteur. I have also looked at the thematics and how the characters develop throughout from his first movie Mala Noche (US 1985) until one of his latest Milk (US 2008). Van Sant is open with his Homosexuality and those perspectives are of major importance for this study. He presents how his characters try to live a normal life in a society that is not made for them. I have chosen to analyze five different movies.

Mot bakgrund av att asexualitet på senare år formulerats som en möjlig sexuell identitet, orientering eller preferens är syftet med uppsatsen att teoretisera den asexuella positionen ? här definierat som ?frånvaro av lust till sexuell praktik?. Detta görs genom en nära läsning av fyra texter som varit centrala inom feministisk och Queer teoribildning, med intentionen att undersöka hur asexualitet positioneras i relation till dessa teorier. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna hämtas från feministiska och konstruktivistiska teorier om kön, sexualitet, makt och subjektstatus, främst Michel Foucault (1976)och Judith Butler (1990). Mina läsningar visar att i Gayle Rubins sexuella värdehierarki (1984) tilldelas positioner utifrån sexuellt aktörskap, och det är således sexuella subjekt som kan emanciperas.

Eftersom julkalendern är ett återkommande fenomen i Sverige med minst en miljon tittare per avsnitt varje år anser vi att en studie av dessa ur ett Queerteoretiskt perspektiv är intressant och kan ge en idé om hur uppfattningar kring vad som är normalt respektive avvikande skapas och reproduceras. Det centrala i våra frågeställningar rör presentationen av könsroller samt vilka egenskaper karaktärerna tillskrivs utifrån könstillhörighet då vi ser en problematik gällande vilka attribut som tillskrivs könen utan eftertanke eller reflektion över hur detta kan påverka exempelvis skapandet av genus. Resultatet av uppsatsen visar bland annat att heteronormativiteten i regel upprätthålls även om det går att utröna avvikelser från det som uppfattas som normativt normalt..

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka hur museipedagoger på Evolutionsmuseet i Uppsala könar utställningar i samband med visningar för barn. Jag har även undersökt på vilket sätt de könar dinosaurierna och djuren. Detta har dokumenterats med hjälp av anteckningar och ljudinspelningar, som sedan har bearbetats och gått igenom. De metoder som använts har varit observationer med utgångspunkt inom Queerteori och sociokulturellt perspektiv. Observationerna visade att museipedagogerna hade goda kunskaper om genus och könade inte föremålen på utställningen någon gång.

I have critically examined heteronormativity as it permeates our society and questioned ?identities? as designed and constructed, leading to certain identities being seen as normal, while others are regarded as abnormal.I have had a discussion with my informants about love, monogamy, amicable and relationships. Every couple has basically isolated themselves after they became a couple and they feel secure with one another. The partnership is very important for my informants, partly because they see the partnership as a legal and economical security. However, these aspects are not crucial to the decision that they chose to marry, for the main reason is love and the desire to take the relationship one step further.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how homosexuality is portrayed in young- adult novels. I use books published in Sweden from 1977- 2003. Three of the books have female main characters and the other three have male main characters. My purpose is therefore to compare the different results between the sexes.I will examine and discuss the homosexuality in the novels with focus on the homosexual identity of the young characters and how it is formed. I relate the results to a Queer discussion about identity.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar hur synen på genus och kön inom arkeologisk tolkning kan vidgas med hjälp av Judith Butlers teorier. Uppsatsen är ett försök att finna vägen till tolkningar som går utanför en normativ syn på kön och sexualitet. Med hjälp av Judith Butler har jag utvärderat tidigare gjorda tolkningar av bronsålderns hällristningar och två danska ekkistegravar (Egtvedsgraven och Skrydstrupsgraven), samt själv sökt finna alternativa tolkningar av dessa..

This essay examines how four archaeology scholars reason about gender. I have used a qualitative method in making this study of their dissertations.  The aim is to obtain a deeper understanding of gender identity in prehistory, gaining a broader appreciation of how this might be expressed through archaeological material. This essay takes its theoretical departure from postprocessual thinking, where gender perspectives, including feminist and Queer theories are in focus. The result of this study shows that the scholars have a postprocessual, structuralistic theoretical perspective in common, and that they use stereotypical identity-descriptions.

In this essay, I interview six users from the website darkside.se, which is an internet community for BDSM practitioners. I?m using Judith Butlers theorys about performativity and heteronormativity, Gayle Rubins model the charmed circle; of which sexualities is regarded as approved and which is not, and Fanny Ambjörnssons explenation of Queer theory. With the interviews as my material, I investigate how sex and gender is produced and used in BDSM and at Darkside. I discuss trans, heteronormativity, sexism and hierarchies of power related to sex and gender, in BDSM and at Darkside.
