My study is focused on one organization with is Unicef, the organization that is workning on a UN mission. The mission is about children's rights and Unicef has brought children's actions since 1946.The purpose of this essay was to research whether the images can be used alone or as a complement to the text that the communication organizations use. By examining the way images are used, I hoped to be able to deduce the results of image use. I study if the effect out messages with only pictures will be more effective than the message in which the verbal mixed with the non-verbal.Theoretical part of this essay has a communication perspective. The essay is structure by tree elements, non-verbal communication, mass communication and intercultural communication.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka i hur några BVC-sjuksköterskor arbetar för att belysa och upptäcka postpartum depression hos nyblivna pappor. Studiens empiriska material bygger på en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt har åtta BVC-sjuksköterskor intervjuats, varav sju av intervjuerna har använts för att presentera studiens resultat. Uppsatsens teoretiska referensram utgörs av Travelbees omvårdnadsteori, Von Bertalanffys generella systemteori samt Antonovskys KASAM. Resultatet visar bland annat att BVC-sjuksköterskorna inte aktivt arbetar för att belysa och upptäcka postpartum depression hos nyblivna pappor, men att några av dem i enstaka fall har erbjudit pappan en EPDS-screening eller pappasamtal.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and investigate how the consumer-oriented commerce can be developed and integrated to the brand Västervik.This thesis has a qualitative approach and we have done a case study of the Swedish city Västervik. We have performed interviews, with eight selected respondents who have different backgrounds, but with competence in different problem areas that we investigate in this thesis.We have, in this qualitative thesis, found aspects that Västervik should consider if they want to succeed with an integration of commerce in the brand. We have through a model found common facets that commerce and tourism shares and which Västervik should consider in the process of branding the city.The results of this thesis are presented in chapter six, there we also have featured reappearing tendencies that consider the development of commerce and how the commerce could be integrated in the brand Västervik..

Background: As a part of a national health control program, Statens VeterinärmedicinskaAnstalt performs diagnostics to screen flocks for certain pathogens causing high mortality,morbidity and/or serious economical losses. There are several viruses in the programincluding IBDV (infectious bursal disease virus), IBV (infectious bronchitis virus) and NDV(Newcastle disease virus). Method: 96 serum samples were collected from different poultryflocks in Sweden and analyzed by ELISA, which are currently used in the health controlprogram as well as by a commercial prototype of a multiplex immunoassay manufactured byLuminex Corp., which is currently under evaluation at the United States Department ofAgriculture USDA. This 4-plex assay detects antibodies for the three above-mentionedviruses as well as antibodies of avian reovirus. In the context of this study the ELISAs run inroutine diagnostics as well as a REO ELISA were used as the standard for comparison.Result: The antibody concentration in serum from vaccinated chickens was high while theantibody concentration level in serum from not vaccinated chickens was low.

Research has shown fear of childbirth to be as common among men as women, but the phenomenon has not been as studied among men. Some men have trouble talking about their fear and therefore don?t get the support that they need. Where to go to get help is not so obvious for these men. The name mostly used for this clinic is Aurora.

The purpose of our study was to examine how three teachers and four students relate to the program "Fem myror" in teaching. We have been through qualitative interviews with two teachers and one special teacher received a detailed picture of how their literacy programs made in relation to the "Fem myror." Qualitative interviews have also been made with four students, a boy and three girls, in order to examine their attitude to the program. From educators? interview answers, we think we can say that the theory and practice conform to what we read in the literature may be associated with what we observed during our time in the business. The study has shown that all teachers believe the program will be a good educational tool to take to read and write.

Bakgrund: Stroke är en av de mest förekommande sjukdomarna i västvärlden och innefattar en stor grupp patienter. Poststroke depression är den vanligaste komplikationen efter insjuknande i stroke och är underbehandlat och underdiagnostiserat. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor kan identifiera tidiga tecken på depression hos patienter som överlevt stroke. Metoden som vi använt är en litteraturstudie med artikelgranskning. Analysen vi använt oss av är en innehållsanalys baserad på Graneheim och Lundmans (2003) beskrivning.

The aim of this pilotstudy was to compare the plaqueformation during four weeks in individuals using a mouthrinse containing either essential oils (Listerine Cool Mint) or CPC (Colgate Total) as a complement to their ordinary toothbrushing. Another purpose was to evaluate the individual?s experiences regarding taste and sensation in the mouth after rinsing. A semiblind, clinical pilotstudy was conducted in 20 individuals at a university in southern Sweden. According to a screening-plaqueindex the individuals were stratified into two intervention-groups of ten people, one group rinsing with essential oils and one group with CPC twice daily as a complement to their toothbrushing routine.

Kan genregleringen av enzymerna som sköter nedbrytningen av klorat, kloratreduktas och kloritdismutas, förbättras genom att exempelvis fungera även i aerob miljö så skulle reningen förbättras samt kostnader dras ner.   Genom att införa promotorregionerna för kloratreduktas och kloritdismutas i en broad-host-range reporterplasmid, pQlacZ-1, så kan dessa testas i flera olika förhållanden och i olika typer av gramnegativa bakterier.   Genom dubbelklyvning av pQlacZ-1 med BamHI och EcoRI så har PCR produkter av Clrp och Cldp från Ideonella dechloratans kunnat ligeras in för att sedan transformeras in i E. coli, XL-1 Blue.    Gelextraktion har visat sig vara den effektivaste reningsmetoden inför ligering men utförligare screening behöver göras på transformanterna för att säkerställa metodens effektivitet..

The overall purpose of this essay is to come to a deeper understanding about videos in the Youtube beauty community by using a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods. By answering the main questions of the essay which are; What quantitatively measurable components are there in the videos that can be seen as contributing factors leading to the fact that some generate more views that others?; Is there a set mold for success containing certain aspects that a video must have to stand out?; What correlations can be found between the two categories of analysis and how do these potential correlations affect the popularity of the video? and What effects do specific components on the level of popularity of the video?, we?ve been able to distinguish differences as well as similarities on both qualitative and quantitative levels. We have also seen that using the two methods together have enabled us to reach more profound results. The main result that we have found on a quantitative level is that there are obvious correlations between a high level of popularity and a good visual quality.

Introduction: Breast pain, mastalgia, is a common problem for many women. The pain can cause so much concern that the woman seeks help in health care. The cause of concern is often that that the pain may be due to breast cancer. Women with mastalgia are referred for mammography to investigate the cause of the pain. Experience says that the mammography is mostly normal.Aim: The aim of the study was to get an overall picture of the results of the mammograms performed on Mammography SU / Sahlgrenska in 2011.

Bullying is something that is often times talked about in relation to school, in spite of that it's still something that is a very common problem. It is also rarely ever clearly defined, and is subject to a heap of different definitions. In order to prevent something, we must first understand it, and therefore define it. With that the purpose of this study is to examine swedish preschool-teachers definitions of bullying. How do they define bullying? Do their definitions differ from one another?The investigation was qualitative and used qualitative interview methods to interview four pre-school teachers about their deifnitions of bullying.

AbstractSyfte: Att undersöka eventuella skillnader mellan pojkar och flickor i årskurs 4 med avseende på fonologisk och ortografisk förmåga.Metod: 107 pojkar och 100 flickor i årskurs 4 fördelade på 14 olika skolor har genomfört en screening med avseende att mäta fonologisk och ortografisk förmåga. Av dessa valdes de elever som hamnade en standardavvikelse över respektive under genomsnittet ut för en fördjupad studie. De 84 eleverna fick enskilt utföra ytterligare fem läs- och skrivtest.Resultat: Den enda signifikanta skillnaden som kunde utläsas i såväl den lågpresterande som den högpresterande gruppen var i deltestet som mäter ordigenkänning, där flickorna uppvisade högre resultat. I den lågpresterande gruppen var pojkarnas resultat likvärdiga eller något högre än flickornas på de övriga deltesten. I den högpresterande gruppen var däremot flickornas resultat likvärdiga eller något högre än pojkarnas.

Förståelse för hur vår mat påverkar klimatet blir allt mer viktigt. Grisproduktion har visat sig ha betydligt mindre klimatpåverkan än nötköttsproduktion dock har befintlig forskning visat att all köttproduktion relativt sett leder till stor miljöpåverkan. Att grisen står sig starkt i miljösynpunkt jämfört med nötkött ger inget skäl till att inte försöka göra grisen mer klimatsmart. Syftet med studien är att beräkna potentialen att minska den svenska grisens klimatpåverkan genom olika produktionsförändringar. De produktionsförändringar som undersökts är; användning av förnyelsebar energi till stall(vindkraft), biogasproduktion av gödsel och användning av restprodukter som foder och då matavfall. Detta är en screening-livscykelanalys där endast Global Warming Potential tas i hänsyn med ett 100 års perspektiv. Den funktionella enheten(FE) är 1 kg ben- och fettfritt griskött. Genom att använda förnyelsebar energi i form av vindkraftproducerad el till stall kan klimatpåverkan potentiellt minskas med 3,3 %.
