The aim of this empirical study was to investigate how nurses on a ward within the emergency clinic deal with analgesia prescriptions and the pain management documentation. The used method was divided into chart reviews and qualitative interviews with nurses in clinical practice at the ward. This means that both a qualitative and quantitative approach was desired. The results incline that nurses generally apply to the laws and restrictions surrounding the nursing discipline, as used in pain treatment. Thus they generally fulfill the obligations accounting to documentation.

Tidig upptäckt och intervention är av stor vikt när det gäller att komma till rätta med alkoholproblem. För att identifiera vilka som har alkoholproblem använder man sig inom vården av screeninginstrument. Dessa screeninginstrument kan distribueras på olika sätt, till exempel som enkät eller som intervju. Tidigare forskning har kommit fram till motstridiga resultat gällande vilket distributionssätt som ger den mest tillförlitliga informationen. Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka om det finns skillnader i svar till följd av distributionssätt.

Non-profit organizations do not have any shareholders and their purpose is to offer service to receivers of benefits.There are a lot of non-profit organizations today and the competition for the donations is rough. Non-profit organizations can influence the publics? decision of who to support by creating a financial reporting that appeal to the public.PurposeThe purpose of this essay is to examine how non-profit goals are measured in non-profit organizations and if there are a practice on the subject.MethodologyWe choose a qualitative approach as we wanted to understand the reality by explaining it with words.

This is a Minor Field Study (MFS) which is a scholarship financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The study was held in 2007 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and is based upon retrospective qualitative interviews with five Bachelor nurses who experienced the disaster work during the earthquake 27th of May, 2006. The aim of the study is to explore the experiences, feelings and thoughts of Bachelor nurses who were involved in this natural disaster. The interview, transcription and analyse work were made one year after the earthquake were a qualitative content analysis method was used. Two group interviews were held at the University of Gadjah Mada.

Background: As a part of a national health control program, Statens VeterinärmedicinskaAnstalt performs diagnostics to screen flocks for certain pathogens causing high mortality,morbidity and/or serious economical losses. There are several viruses in the programincluding IBDV (infectious bursal disease virus), IBV (infectious bronchitis virus) and NDV(Newcastle disease virus). Method: 96 serum samples were collected from different poultryflocks in Sweden and analyzed by ELISA, which are currently used in the health controlprogram as well as by a commercial prototype of a multiplex immunoassay manufactured byLuminex Corp., which is currently under evaluation at the United States Department ofAgriculture USDA. This 4-plex assay detects antibodies for the three above-mentionedviruses as well as antibodies of avian reovirus. In the context of this study the ELISAs run inroutine diagnostics as well as a REO ELISA were used as the standard for comparison.Result: The antibody concentration in serum from vaccinated chickens was high while theantibody concentration level in serum from not vaccinated chickens was low.

Som analysverktyg valde vi rollteorin och teorin om X och Y. Våra huvudsakliga resultat är att motivationsarbete är något som är ständigt närvarande och att det familjesociala teamet finner sina arbetsverktyg verkningsfulla. Många kvinnor lider av nedstämdhet och depression under graviditeten. Det uppmärksammas inte alltid av personalen på mödravårdscentralen. Prenatal depression påverkar sannolikt både den gravida kvinnan och barnet negativt. Screening med självskattningsformuläret EPDS på mödravårdscentralen och erbjudande om stödjande samtal är ett sätt att fånga upp och hjälpa blivande mödrar. Syftet med studien var att beskriva några kvinnors upplevelser av sin livssituation, moderskapet och de stödjande samtal de blivit erbjudna under graviditeten.

The purpose of this study is to identify how the needs, demands and preferences for a certain service appear among University students in Kalmar. This is necessary to examine in order to create and design a possible service that will solve the problem with the University students eating habits.This study is based on a qualitative method with quantitative elements. The qualitative method contains of three focus group discussions. The quantitative method contains of a questionnaire. All respondents in this study fits in the target group.One important conclusion that we have stated after the investigation of this study, is that the nature of this problem seems to differ from person to person.

Sedan ett år tillbaka på företaget Elitkomposit AB pågår ett fordonsprojekt som syftar till att ta fram konstruktionsunderlag för en fyrhjulig miljöbil för två passagerare och hundra liter bagage. Bilen ska byggas huvudsakligen i kompositmaterial. Syfte och mål med arbetet är att presentera ett nytt sportigt karosskoncept som ska vara en blandning av ett segelflygplan, formel 1 bil och en stridslysten kräfta. Förhoppningarna är att Elitkomposit kommer uppskatta den nya designen och använda sig av den när dem senare tillverkar miljöbilen. Endast bilens exteriördesign kommer att formges och presenteras till Elitkomposit AB.

Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att undersöka hur tonåringar med depressioner tidigt kan upptäckas och få hjälp och vilken roll sjuksköterskan har i detta samt vad tonåringar själva tycker är viktigt i mötet med vården. Till resultatdelen har 17 vetenskapliga artiklar valts ut efter litteratursökning ifrån databaserna Cinahl, Elin och Pubmed. Depressioner hos tonåringar är ett allvarligt problem som innebär ett stort lidande och som i värsta fall kan leda till självmord. Förekomsten av depressioner hos tonåringar ökar och detta ställer allt högre krav på både skolhälsovård och primärvård. Resultatet visade att tonåringar i allmänhet hellre söker sig till skolhälsovården och ungdomsmottagningar än till primärvården och specialister.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om personbilsförare uppfyller de visuskrav som finns för att inneha körkort i Sverige.Bakgrund: I Sverige måste alla som ansöker om körkortstillstånd genomgå en visus- och synfältskontroll. Denna kontroll görs vanligen i 16 årsålder, då det är tillåtet att börja övningsköra. Efter denna undersökning finns ingen obligatorisk kontroll av vare sig visus eller synfält om man har behörighet AM, A1, A, B, BE och traktorkort. Detta är något anmärkningsvärt eftersom andelen äldre i Sverige ökar och med stigande ålder blir ögonåkommor och ögonsjukdomar mer frekventa. Även refraktionsstatusen förändras under årens lopp.Metod: Genom en visus-screening undersöktes 100 personer med minst behörighet B.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the Greeks in connection with the crisis in Greece is portrayed in Swedish newspapers, as well as the second generation Greeks in Sweden experiencing and interpreting the portraying and how it affects their everyday lives. The idea is to create an understanding of what happens when ethnic aspects is being portrayed in the media and how it is perceived and interpreted by second generation immigrants, and what this might mean for the impact of their daily life. The study is based, therefore on the following questions; how are the Greeks in connection with the crisis in Greece being portrayed in Swedish newspapers? How does second generations Greeks in Sweden perceive and interpret the portraying, and how it affects their everyday lives?The study's basic methodological approach is qualitative text analysis and qualitative interviews. Qualitative text analysis is to bring out the essential content through careful reading of the text parts and the context in which it is included.

Syftet med denna studie var att kartlägga screeningsinstrument som mäter nutritionsstatus hos kritiskt sjuka samt se hur de används i vården. Studien genomfördes som en systematisk litteraturstudie. Artiklar söktes i databaserna Cinahl och Medline. Tretton artiklar identifierades, efter kvalitetsgranskning, till studien. I resultatet framkom flera nutritionsscreeningsinstrument och tre utav dessa; SGA, MUST och NRS 2002, var mer anpassade för screening av kritiskt sjuka.
