Do the principals who have the pedagogical responsibility of the school find reading comprehension important? This is the underpinning of my thesis for the special teacher-training program. The survey was conducted through interviews with two principals. The results show that they believe reading comprehension is important but it has not been given priority in the organization. The essay could form the basis for further research into reading habits, home environment influences and other factors that may contribute to improve reading comprehension performance..

A substantial part of the Swedish outdoor education is being practiced in so called ?school forests?. The concept school forest was first introduced in the 1980?s by the organization Skogen i Skolan. The definition of a school forest is an area that is being used for educational purposes, over which the school and the land owner has reached an agreement of how the school may utilize it.

Resultatet visar att läs- och skrivsvaga elever i vissa fall kan ha brister inom matematikens problemlösningsområden och även inom algoritmområdet. Elever med läs- och skrivsvårigheter brister i dessa matematikdelar på grund av brister i läsflytet, svårigheter med begreppsförståelse, komprimerat språk och brister i korttidsminnet..

Avsikten med detta arbete har varit att få ökad kunskap om hur åtta elever upplever sin skolsituation och vilka faktorer som bidrar till eller hindrar att deras upplevelse blir meningsfull. Undersökningen har också beskrivit elevernas självbild. Även elevernas upplevelse av att gå i stor grupp har lyfts fram. Vår uppgift från Special-Elektronik var att konstruera en moduluppbyggd produkt för styrning via LAN. AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to examine how the population living in Christiania considers their residential area in relation to the surrounding society, and why you as an individual choose to live there. We have used the qualitative method and we have performed interviews with a total of six persons. We have used Tönnies two notions regarding gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, and Goffmans theory about stigma. We choose these theories because we thought that they were most relevant for our study. Our question at issue is: Why does a person seek to live in an alternative society, with different norms in comparison to the majority society? Through our interview persons we learned their stories and their opinions considering their residential area and we concluded that Christiania differs from the remaining society in several ways.

In the essay, the balance between being an educator and a mother of a child with autism is explored in respect to how the roles might influence the actions of a pre-school teacher. The application of the LSS law and how the public organization (Municipality of Hudiksvall) later had to reform their organization to fit the new demands is the foundation to this master's thesis. An internal evaluation was performed due to this reorganisation process within the social care department (LSS unit). The aim was to investigate and evaluate if the reorganization resulted in a better working environment and if the work load (distribution of work) became more evenly divided between the different unit managing directors. The primary empirical information to this master's thesis is collected from that evaluation report. The main aim of this master?s thesis is to answer if the organisational choice between specialised or de-specialised working tasks has an effect (experienced and measured) on the level of stress among the unit managing directors.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka vilka kunskaper som specialpedagoger inom grund-skola och grundsärskola har, samt hur pedagoger uppfattar sina kunskaper och erfarenheter när det gäller autism och Asperger syndrom.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att undersöka och synliggöra hur pedagoger ser på samlingen i förskolan. Studien har utgått från följande frågeställningar: Hur tänker pedagogerna kring ämnet samling och dess innehåll? Hur ser samlingen ut? På vilket sett får barnen delaktighet och inflytande i samlingen? Hur tänker pedagogerna kring samlingens förändring? Vilken barnsyn har pedagogerna i samlingen? För att få svar på våra frågeställningar har vi fördjupat oss i forskning på området och gjort en studie på fyra förskolor, där observationer och intervjuer har använts som metod. Intervjuerna har transkriberats och analyserats med observationerna utifrån frågeställningarna. Respondenterna talar om samlingens förändring, delaktighet och inflytande och det kompetenta barnet. Slutresultatet visar att samlingen är ett återkommande inslag i förskolans verksamhet, men att samlingens innehåll och syfte varierar mellan förskolorna.

Background: Sweden has become a society with a multicultural population. Many children start preschools with different backgrounds and experiences. Teachers today face the task of meet those children in the best way. Södertörn University has a special profile on their teacher education, the intercultural profile.Aims: My report focuses on teachers who have been working in preschools for about one to two years after graduating from the intercultural education at Södertörn University. The report aims at finding out more about their experiences and thoughts about the intercultural approach after having worked in the Swedish preschool with a special focus on the intersectional perspective on cultural phenomena class, gender and ethnicity.

 The 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections were in many ways special, where the USA got its first president of Afro-American origin, Barack Obama. The elections will also be historical since the great use of social medias - as the community Facebook, the video sharing site YouTube and web based diaries, blogs - broke through during the campaigns. This study's purpose was to examine how a few members of the Swedish parliament described the result of the Presidential Elections in their blogs. The main question - how the election results were described in the blogs - was divided into three themes, created on the basis of the blog's content.
