To complete an overweight treatment program is associated with better weight loss. Previous studies have in principle focused on drop-out from the entire program, not individual parts of a program. Factors previously shown to influence the patients´ weight loss results are: frequency of individual meetings with a professional, the lack of social support from family or friends, the lack of motivation and in a few studies vacations. In several studies the drop-out patients have stated that their reasons for drop-out were dissatisfaction with the staff and the program design. Drop-out has also been shown to be connected with difficulties in adherence to the diet.

The objective of the study is to map the cognitive structure of Library and Information Science, using a quantitative, bibliometric method. This empirical study shows how co-citation analysis combined with word-frequency analysis can be used to describe the subject content of the field. The research questions to be answered are: -Which clusters of authors can be identified? -How can these clusters be described in respect of their subject content, if the descriptors associated with the authors in the clusters are counted? The results show that the cognitive structure of Library and Information Science can be described by 13 clusters of authors, where each cluster is representing a specific aspect of the subject- domain. This study is about gender stereotypes that occur in the magazines of ELLE and KING's advertisements in 2014. The purpose of this inquisition is by using a gender perspective to examine the interpretation of women and men, compare how they relate to the traditional gender stereotypes. To answer our purpose of this study, a selection of 400 advertisements were analyzed based on it's content and visual expression. Through a content analysis, we could measure the frequency of 18 variables and put them in relation to each other to grasp the differences that exist between the genders. The results are presented in bar charts based on the variables that proved most interesting outcome between the genders.

This master?s thesis is a remote sensing study of an area-based method used to detect forest in need of thinning by use of laser data and field samples. Only pine-dominated forest has been included in the study and height limits were set to match empirical restrictions. The study area was in the municipality of Älvsbyn (Latitude 65° 40´ N, Longitude 21° 00´ E), in northern Sweden.The Swedish authority Lantmäteriet is currently laser scanning most parts of Sweden, providing new opportunities and applications. The primary aim of the national laser scanning is to create a new elevation model, useful in consequence analysis of climate changes.

Detta examensarbete utröner möjligheten att aktivt släcka ut en amplitudstark frekvensmodulerad sinussignal digitalt. Detta skall göras utan förkunskap om signalen gällande fas, frekvens eller amplitud. Eventuellt övriga, men betydligt svagare, sinussignaler i den analoga signalen skall inte påverkas nämnvärt av utsläckningen. För att lösa problemet har olika teorier för att lösa delproblemen med att mäta amplitud, fas och frekvens studerats varefter en lämplig kombination valts för implementering i en FPGA. Prestandan som uppmätts har jämförts med vad som teoretiskt är möjligt och vi konstaterar att metoden löser problemet på ett adekvat sätt men är i behov av en del förbättringar som diskuteras i slutet..

The purpose of this study is to establish whether or not there is a connection between a highincidence of computer gaming and English proficiency in Swedish 9th-graders. The study also takescomputer game genres into account, attempting to see if there is a link between frequent playing ofcertain genres and high English grades.According to this study, there is a clear correlation between the gaming habits of Swedish 9thgradersand the grades they receive in English, with a higher frequency of gaming corresponding toa higher grade. The study also suggests that the Strategy, MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) andCRPG (Computer Role-Playing Game) genres have a higher representation amongst students withgood grades in English..

This report present the design and manufacturing of a wide-band driver amplifier placed in radar module for airborne applications. The major goals for the amplifier were a high efficiency and to deliver a predefined output power. To reach the second goal an additional preamplifier had to be constructed. The amplifiers were constructed in three steps: Design and Layout in the software Microwave Office, Mounting components and Verification. The driver amplifier was decided to be a push pull configuration consisting of two parallel transistors biased in class AB.

This work aims to evaluate the possibility of using a graphical programming language to develop software for a digital signal processor. A fixed-point digital signal processor called Blackfin BF-537 is used for this. Instead of using conventional programming languages, like C or assembler, for software development the possibilities to use a graphical environment to fill the same purpose are examined. The development environment primarily used is NI LabVIEW, but also the use of Mathworks Matlab Simulink is investigated. A variety of programs consisting of various signal processing operations and utilities are developed using these development environments.

By limiting our horse?s freedom of movement, we restrict their opportunity to forage, which is one of their most important needs. If their need of forage is not fulfilled it can lead to frustration, which might manifest itself in abnormal behaviour, like the oral stereotypies for example crib-biting. It is a held belief that the horse swallows air while crib-biting, which they don?t, and that swallowed air causes colic, and the belief that other horses can copy the behaviour, leads to the use of many methods to prevent the behaviour.

The focus is at the methods, used at foster homes evaluations and at guidance/support the foster homes are offered.En questionnaire is made in Skåne, on this theme.Except that, it contains a fairly lot of useful information for families who are interested in becoming foster home.The questionnaire is made among public and private participants who evaluates new foster homes and places children (under 18 years) in Skåne.Because of the low answer frequency, we can?t generalize the result of the questionnaire. But the result we have obtained indicates that Kälvestens evaluation method is used frequently.In the subject of support/guidance we can?t see any specific methods used.

This master?s thesis describes the development of a model of the catalystsystem aiming at control by an MPC. A well functioning model, which is suitable in control purpose, is important while emission legislation become more and more hard to fulfill for the car manufacturers. Much research has been done in the field of physical modeling of the system, but in this work a linear adaptive time discrete ARX-model is developed and validated.The systems tendency to change its dynamic during usage implies that the model must be adaptive. The developed model proved to be well functioning and shows promising conditions for the MPC design.

Studien syftar till att bidra med kunskap kring hur pedagoger använder inomhusmiljön för att främja barns lärande och delaktighet, samt på vilka sätt inomhusmiljön är tillgänglig för barnen. Detta har gjorts genom en kvalitativ undersökning med en hermeneutisk ansats. Frågeställningarna har varit hur pedagogerna använder sig av inomhusmiljön i det pedagogiska arbetet för att främja barns lärande och delaktighet men även hur tillgänglig miljön är för barnen. Detta sett utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv som grundades av Lev S.Vygotskij, där lärande sker i samspel med andra. För att uppnå syftet med denna undersökning har vi valt att observera och intervjua tio pedagoger, på fyra olika kommunala förskolor i två skilda kommuner, en större och en mindre.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur man på en skola arbetar med elever som har olika neuropsykiatriska diagnoser. Vidare är det av intresse att undersöka hur dessa elever bemöts av andra på skolan. De neuropsykiatriska diagnoserna som kommer att presenteras är, ADHD, Autismspektrumstörningar (Autism och Aspergers), tvångssyndrom (OCD), Tourettes syndrom, inlärningssvårigheter (dyslexi) samt DAMP. Fokus kommer att ligga på den neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningen ADHD som är den vanligaste. Stämplingsteorin har använts i studien då den är högst aktuell på grund av att man än idag stämplar individer utifrån vad man anser vara normalt eller avvikande.

Drygt 90 000 personer i Sverige lider av Alzheimers, vilket är en form av demenssjukdom där de intellektuella förmågorna avtar med tiden till följd av pågående degenerering av cellerna i hjärnan. När den språkliga förmågan försämras kan livskvalitén minska till följd av att hinder för det psykiska och fysiska välbefinnande uppkommer. Vid kommunikationen med Alzheimersjuka individer är finns många hinder för en god kommunikation och hinder i kommunikationen anses i många fall vara en av de tyngsta bördorna vid Alzheimers sjukdom. Tidigare forskning pekar på att resultatet av kommunikationens utfall till stor del är relaterad till den kunskap och färdighet inom kommunikation och kommunikationsstrategier som vårdgivaren besitter. Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att undersöka vilka verbala faktorer och strategier som främst påverkar kommunikationen med individer drabbade av Alzheimers sjukdom.
