Utveckling av vÀska med verktyg för service av gasfjÀder : Ett examensarbete hos Strömsholmen

Strömsholmen Àr en vÀrldsledande tillverkare av gasfjÀdrar och gashydrauliska system. De tillverkar gasfjÀdrar under tre olika varumÀrken; Kaller, Hyson och Fibro. Strömsholmen erbjuder kunder att köpa serviceutrustning sÄ att gasfjÀdrarna kan repareras eller underhÄllas. En del av serviceutrustningen Àr en servicevÀska med serviceverktyg. I detta examensarbete har servicevÀskan och verktygen i vÀskan utvecklats vidare och designats om för att vara mer anvÀndarvÀnliga, bÀttre representera varumÀrkena samt reducera kostnaden.

Folkbiblioteket ? en plats för social sammanhÄllning

The purpose of this thesis is to explore what possibilities Swedish public library has to work with and promote integration. The possibilities are examined on the basis of internal requirements of integration, the role of public library in the civil society and its policy documents. Further, the thesis examines what Swedish National library politics could contribute to this particular field. The experience of integration politics shows that a genuine commitment from all parts of the society is required in order to build an integrated society. The part of a society that public libraries are closest to and have the greatest impact on is undoubtedly the civil society.

Lean IT Assessment Tool : Ett verktyg för att utvÀrdera en IT avdelnings möjligheter till effektivisering genom att implementera lean pÀ IT service management

Detta examensarbete har syftat till att utveckla ett verktyg för att utvÀrdera en IT-avdelnings möjligheter till effektivisering genom att implementera Lean pÄ IT Service Management. Verktyget har utvecklats i samarbete med Tina Eriksson pÄ uppdrag av management och IT-management konsultbolaget Connecta AB. Connecta AB har som syfte att anvÀnda verktyget för framtida affÀrer. För att verktyget ska vara anvÀndbart och uppfylla Connectas krav sÄ har fyra mÄl satts upp. Verktyget ska vara trovÀrdigt, resurseffektivt, anvÀndarvÀnligt samt underlÀtta för fortsatt arbete och implementering av Lean pÄ IT Service Management.

We are daily using the public space to move throughout the city. The public space is an important part of our city and it?s where a lot of social activities occur and a lot of different events take place. The outdoor environment in the city should offer the residents nice and varying places for staying. In this essay I will try to understand how the physical environment works and how people moves and behave in the public space.

Biblioteken och censuren: om försök att censurera HBT- litteratur pÄ amerikanska folkbibliotek

The aim of this study is to look at censorship and attempted censorship of books about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual (GLBT) people in public libraries in the USA. People from the public can submit formal challenges to a book at the library when they find the material offensive which can lead to those books being taken away from the library shelves. The questions asked are why GLBT- literature is being challenged, and sometimes banned, and how do the libraries deal with the challenges to the books.It is nowadays the people from the public, rather than the government or the librarians that are behind many cases of removal of books with homosexual themes. The study presents some of the fictional GLBT- literature that has been cause for much controversy in the USA. All the five examples mentioned are children?s books concerning GLBT- themes and are among the most challenged books in American libraries in the past twenty years.

This thesis investigates how energy is used in three public baths today and suggests measures that could reduce the energy demand. The results show that there is a great poteltial for energy savings i public baths, and that it would be interesting to examine some of the proposed measures further..

Internetbaserade abonnemangstjÀnster : TillgÀnglighet, delaktighet och kontroll

This thesis researches the value creation process in Internet based subscription services in accordance with service dominant logic. The aim of the paper is to identify the characteristics of these services and to envisage the future of Internet based subscription services. The authors have utilized a qualitative method in their research which consists of personal interviews as well as a focus group. The main theoretical subjects that are discussed are value creation, customer participation and service dominant logic. The paper analyses the empirical findings by matching them with the theoretical framework.

Hur folkbibliotekarier i nÄgra mindre svenska kommuner upplever sin yrkesroll

The aim of this study is to examine how public librarians in small Swedish municipalities experience their professional roles. As part of examining such an abstract subject as experiences we also examine what tasks they perform, which will function as a support of the analysis. The theoretical frame-work is based on librarian identities worked out by Anders Ørom and a model of professional roles worked out by Maj Klasson. The analytical procedure consists of both deductive and inductive viewpoints. The empirical material consists of qualitative semi-structured interviews with five librarians that work in public libraries located in municipalities with less than 12 500 inhabitants.

Vi vill studera hur ett affÀrshotell kan tillmötesgÄ sina gÀster med upplevelser. VÄra frÄgestÀllningar Àr:? Hur definieras upplevelseutbudet utifrÄn ett affÀrshotells tjÀnsteerbjudande?? PÄ vilket sÀtt förmedlar och verkstÀller ett affÀrshotell service och upplevelser? För att fÄ djup i undersökning och material besökte vi hotellet under fyra dagar för observationer och kvalitativa undersökningar vilka vi sedan analyserat utifrÄn förutbestÀmd litteratur.

Införande av IT Service Management med hjÀlp av IT Infrastructure Library

I en allt mer krympande vÀrld, mÄste organisationer lÀra sig att snabbt reagera pÄ marknadsförÀndringar. Medan organisationer blir bÀttre pÄ att införa nya affÀrsprocesser, kvarstÄr problemet med en tungrodd och svÄrförÀnderlig IT?miljö. Det hela görs inte bÀttre av att organisationer blir mer och mer beroende av sin IT?infrastruktur.

The aim of this issue is to study how Swedish public libraries deal with the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of information in connection with public use of the Internet. The authors intention has been to find out whether the public use of the Internet has caused ethical problems for library workers and how the libraries solve situations when they consider their principles violated by library users. The authors study the debate on the issue in a couple of Swedish library magazines published during the late 1990s and they also give a few examples from the USA during the same period. They study the ethical principles and directives for schools published by the Swedish Board of Education as they claim that many of the public library users are students who bring along their ethical conceptions and thereby affect the ethical climate of the libraries. In their study the authors refer to ethical rules given to librarians by their trade union DIK and to the conclusions drawn from the hearing Good Ethics on the Net held by the Swedish IT Commission in 1998.

This report is written in cooperation with Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning. The reports purpose is to look into how other public authorities carry out public purchase of consultants and entrepreneurs in the urban planning area. The goal is to come up with suggestions of how Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning can improve its purchasing process in this field in order to minimize the risk where a consultant or entrepreneur files an appeal against the decision of awarding a contract to another rival. The appeal can be filed to the county administrative court.The public administration for urban planning can do its purchases through the model of "lowest price" or "economically most favorable" for them. When using "economically most favorable", the department can value a number of soft parameters by giving them points and the offer which gets most points can be rewarded the right to sign a contract.

Att förebygga hot och vÄld mot socialsekreterare

The aim of the study was to examine if and how the social service and the social welfare secretary provides against threat and violence in the encounter with clients. The study is qualitative and carried out with six semi-structured interviews with social welfare secretaries and participation observations at the social welfare offices in three municipalities. The theoretical starting points used were symbolic interactionism and strange loops. The result shows that social service and social welfare secretaries both use measures to prevent threat and violence to occur. The precautionary measures mainly used by social services are ; looked doors, alarm device, loose objects removes and interview rooms are furnish in purpose for the social welfare secretary to flee the room at urgent need.

Social Construction of Crisis: The Constructed Realities of SAS Ground Service Employees Regarding the Preparatory Period of Strategy 2011 Organizational Development Program.

The thesis explores an ongoing dialectical process between different levels of employees including top management to workers of Scandinavian Airline Service (SAS) regarding a new change program and to find out the possible social construction among them. In particular, it searches for the constructed reality of SAS ground service employees at Malmö Airport with regard to the preparatory stage of SAS Strategy 2011. A possible ambiguity in dialectical process is explored as it relates to an organization?s ability to effectively influence the understanding and identity of its employees through discourse.

Med Lean i bagaget - En studie om Leans förmÄga att öka produktiviteten av en bagagehanteringsprocess

Although Lean has received an increased amount of attention in the service context, research still has not established how successfully Lean manages to increase service productivity; since service productivity consists of both efficiency and quality. Research regarding productivity discusses the risk of a tradeoff between efficiency and quality in service production processes. Therefore, this thesis aims to explore if the tradeoff in a production setting with low variability in demand and low customer participation exists, after Lean has been implemented. With a qualitative approach, a case study has been conducted at Scandinavian Airlines Ground Handling to evaluate the effects of Lean in the baggage handling process. The result of the study shows that the tradeoff has not been overcome; efficiency has increased at the expense of quality.
