Den insamlade empirin a?r baserad pa? sju intervjuer med individer som alla har en relevant roll i fo?rha?llandet till det studerade fenomenet.
Äldre invandrare och den offentliga äldreomsorgen - bistånd, behov och särskildhet
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether an increasing amount of elderly immigrants will set new demands upon the public eldercare. The focus is on the officials whithin the public care of elderly in Västra Götaland district, and their experiences. A second purpose of this study is to add the experiences of the officials to former research treating the topic of elderly immigrants and their experiences of the public eldercare in Sweden.The survey has been carried out through interviewing all together seven officials working within the public care of elder in varying districts of Västra Götaland. The interviews have later been summoned under four different themes such as, ?Culture, customs and tradition?, ?Interaction and communication?, ?Information? and ?The future of the public eldercare?.The study indicates that our result based on the interviews, is in several references corresponding to former research on the topic.
På väg mot ett hållbart resande? : En fallstudie kring den lokala kollektivtrafiken i Umeå tätort
Sustainability and the traffics impact on the environment have become increasingly central within spatial planning. For many years, planning has been focusing on building new roads - this has resulted in increased use of automobiles, which many believe is unsustainable in the longer term. Therefore, authorities at national, regional and local level want to increase the use of alternative transport modes ? such as walking, cycling and traveling by bus.The thesis intends to study if the Municipality of Umeå?s policies for sustainable development have led to an increased use of public transportation. The use of public transport in Umeå is also compared with developments at national level, in order to see if there are differences in the level and trend.
Upp eller ut? Ut tack!: En studie om frivillig personalomsättning på managementkonsultfirmor
The purpose of this thesis is to understand the reasons to why management consultants choose to leave their positions at large and established management consultant companies. The empirical data are made up of eleven interviews with men and women, both management consultants that have left their previous positions as well as a consultant who has chosen to stay with her first company and a representative from one of the large companies active within the management consultant industry. We have used the Job Embeddedness Theory combined with theories about identity, legitimacy, institutional norms and gender in order to understand the thoughts and reasoning behind the management consultants´ resignation. We have found that issues with the work itself and characteristics of the industry prevent the management consultants from being embedded within the management consultant company. Rather, some of the characteristics of the industry such as ?up or out? and the need to constantly perform work as a ?pushing-out mechanism?.
Korruption och intressekonflikter : Hur hanteras offentliga intressekonflikter av den svenska lagstiftningen?
Officially, Sweden has a very low level of corruption and in 2008 topped Transparency International?s list in terms of the perception of a lack of corruption. However, on closer examination it would appear that the Swedish public sector is not as clean as the Transparency International list suggests. What appears to be relatively common and quite widely accepted in Sweden, especially in local government, are conflict of interest situations in which public officials use their position to obtain advantages for themselves, their friends and their colleagues, in particular with respect to public procurement. According to the Swedish constitution, the public administration shall be governed by the principles on legality and objectivity. Grave violations of these principles are deemed illegal and contrary to the penal code provisions relating to bribery, public misconduct and breach of confidentiality.
Talent Management : Möjlighet eller hot? Sett ur HR-anställdas perspektiv.
The purpose of this study is to contribute with new knowledge of how Talent Management can be seen as a an opportunity or threat for organizational development, concerning competence, on the basis of HR. The research questions asked are: Out of wich aspects can Talent Management be seen as an opportunity or threat on the basis of HR-employees? How can it affect the work of HR? To answer these questions qualitative interviews with five employees within HR from four different companies has been executed. The essay has been investigated on the basis of an explorative aim and with a qualitative method. The empirical results has indicated common themes such as director support, HRs view of Talent Management, HRs development and shifts of generations.

Aim: To investigate the observed issues about the economy units? importation in the municipal of Bollnäs, Sweden, and study the internal communication according to this matter. Method: This paper is written as a process where the information flow has been decided by the information held in the interviews. The interviews have dealt with the economy units issues and the communication linked to it, within the oganization. Rum och plats för datorer på folkbibliotek : En kvalitativ fallstudie
This master thesis was written in the purpose to study how the location and access to computers in the physical realm of the public library reflects the undergoing changes in the public libraries role in Swedish society. This study is done in a form of a case study of three small public libraries. All of them were in the process of transforming both their physical and virtual space. The thesis focuses on where in the library the computers are placed and how their location interacts with the libraries main tasks. It also focuses on the analysis of the relationship between these two elements and how that relationship reflects the alteration of the public libraries place in society.
Man och kvinna i tvåsamhet, Amen : en studie om debatten kring samkönade äktenskap i religiös media
The purpose of this thesis is to present a number of examples of how the debate concerning same-sex marriages in Sweden was conducted in religious media between the year of 2005 and May 1st 2009. I intend to examine if and how these debate articles can be descibes as examples of religion taking part in the public sphere according to José Casanovas theory of deprivitization and public religion (1994) and Jürgen Habermas theory of religion in the public sphere (1964, 1989, 2006, 2008). I will apply the theories to the material by using four criteria for public religion, based on Casanovas and Habermas two theories, designed by Marta Axner. I also intend to compare the arguments used in the material to the arguments found in Marta Axners dissertation Public Religions in Swedish Media (2013). To identify these arguments a textanalysis containing seven argumentschemes, designed by Gunnar Björnsson (1994), is applied.

Research design: An abductive, interview-based case study of Polykemi AB. Conclusion: Polykemi?s management control system is primarily a traditional one which is rather strong in terms of Levers of control.
Rekrytering som process: Luleå kommuns strategiska och operativa arbete med rekrytering
Idag är det allt viktigare att en kommun har en väl fungerande rekryteringsprocess. Det har utvecklats ett mer strategiskt tänk med väl utarbetade planer för hur rekryteringen skall gå till. Detta för att kunna säkerställa att rätt person anställs till rätt plats då en felrekrytering kan orsaka lidande både för personen och organisationen.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att beskriva och analysera hur Luleå kommun arbetar med rekrytering samt få en distinkt uppfattning om hur deras utarbetade arbetsprocess för rekrytering har tillämpats på förvaltningarna.Datainsamlingen till denna uppsats har skett via nio semistrukturerade intervjuer som skett med personer anställda på kommunen med någon form av tjänst som innefattar personalarbete samt att de har insyn i förvaltningens rekryteringsarbete. Som hjälp till att förstå organisationsformer och arbete inom personalarbete har teorier inom bland annat New Public management, Max Webers byråkrati samt Elton Mayos Human Relationsskola studerats och har även varit till hjälp vid tolkning av resultatet.Resultatet visade att Luleå kommuns upprättande av riktlinjer för rekryteringsarbetet har varit välfungerande även om det finns förbättringsområden som skulle kunna förstärka deras rekryteringsprocess ytterligare. Förvaltningarna anställer till största del rätt person till rätt plats och arbetar utifrån de centralt utgivna riktlinjer som finns..
