Inom alla vårdformer möts patienter och vårdare. En viktig komponent i det vårdande mötet som presenteras i olika omvårdnadsteorier är att vårdaren är närvarande i mötet med hela sitt jag. Då kan patienten känna sig sedd och hörd samt känna att vårdaren är delaktig. Studiens syfte var att belysa hur närvarandet framträder i ett vårdande möte. Vår studie utgår från en kvalitativ metodansats med fem vetenskapliga artiklar som analyseras med hjälp av innehållsanalys.

Through our study we have found that there are moresimilarities than differences in leadership styles. The dominant leadership style of managers in both private and public sector is the democratic leadership style, often in combination with other styles; most notably the authoritarian leadership style. The aim of this study is to describe how unemployment is experienced by unemployed persons and how this situation affects their health and wellbeing. A qualitative semi structured interview method has been applied. The study includes seven persons in the age between 29- 58. Four of them were women and three were men. The following four themes are presented in the study: psychological health and wellbeing and how unemployment is experienced, social factors, economic factors and, how they value a job.

The aim of this master thesis?s is to examine what functions writing activities can have in the public library. Some public libraries offer their visitors writing activities, for example courses and camps. The public library is an institution with a particular identity, with special norms and properties which participants within the institution construct and reproduce. The main question of this thesis is to investigate how writing activities can be a part of the public library?s institutional identity and what functions writing activities in the public library can have.

Background: Good health at community and individual levels are key policy priorities. These priorities can be shown through supporting parents about various different healthy lifestyle choices. In order to know where interventions are needed, it is of interest to study how parents generally feel and how they perceive their parenting.Aim: To study how parents rate their own health and parenting skills, and examine whether there is any correlation between perceived general health and perceived parental competence.  Further, this study will show whether there is a correlation between rate of perceived general health and rate of perceived parental competence when it comes to gender.Method: 64 questionnaires were collected at strategic open kindergartens in the municipality of Uppsala. The questionnaires were distributed to the parents present and who chose to participate in this study.Main result: The result of this study shows that parents have a high rate of general health.

Delaktighet och inflytande i arbetslivet är en central bestämningsfaktor för anställdas hälsa. För att medarbetare ska kunna bli delaktiga och påverka på arbetsplatsen identifierades chefers ledarskap som en nyckelfaktor för att det ska bli möjligt. Genom att chefer delegerade uppgifter och beslut till medarbetarna samt förde en ständig dialog, främjades medarbetarnas delaktighet. Syftet med studien var att undersöka chefernas uppfattning om sitt ledarskap som gjort att de uppnått hög delaktighet bland sina medarbetare. Som metod användes en empirisk design med kvalitativ ansats och telefonintervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod.

The purpose of this master thesis is both to interpret the articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child from a public library point of view and to investigate how childrens librarians in the county of Norrbotten view their working situation in their relation to the users. This purpose leads to the main question: How do the childrens librarians and the childrens library consultant describe the present and the future of the childrens library activities in the sparsely populated regions in the county of Norrbotten? The subquestions are: What articles from the Childrens Rights Convention are the most relevant for the public library? In what way can you notice the Childrens Rights in the way the childrens librarians work towards the users? What part of the childrens library activity is the most important according to the childrens librarians and the childrens library consultant? The thesis is based on qualitative interviews with childrens librarians and the childrens library consultant of Norrbotten and field observations. The result of the study shows that the articles we found most relevant for the public library are 2, 3, 6, 12, 13, 14, 17, 23, 28/29, 30, 31 and 42. The Childrens Rights can be noticed in several ways in the childrens library activities.

Background: Contracting asexually transmitted disease is strongly associated with stigmaand shame. Stigma associated with these diseases has a significant impact on self-image andpropensityto seek care. Despitehigh incidencethere is a generallack of awareness about therisks and theeffectsthatthese diseases have on both mental and physical health. Health carepersonnel are experiencing difficulties to meet and care for these patients. Aim: The aim ofthis studyisto describe patients'experiences of health care after they were diagnosed with asexually transmitted disease.

This thesis is a cultural theoretical case study of the art project (O)önskad samhällsförbättring.Via an analysis of the project, that is based on theories of power, resistance and contemporaryurban development, it examines the construction of urban space, its impact on public art including the ability of art to initiate evolvement of the urban public space.The last decades art has plaid an important role in what is called the creative city; to become attractive nodal points of the global economy, larger cities increasingly invest in art,culture and creative industry. Simultaneously the urban public space is limited to activitiesand expressions of art that are presumed to create economic growth. This introduces animpression of what is allowed and what is not allowed, possible and not possible, wished andnot wished which, as a consequence, evolves the public space. The events during the artproject and the reactions that followed enlightened these limitations. This tells a story, not only about the structuring process of the local urban space, but also important changes that are created as a simultaneous effect at different levels in society, as well locally as globally.

Bakgrund: Enligt statistiska central byråns prognos (2003) kommer invandrare eller barn till invandrare att stå för cirka åtta procent av Sveriges befolkningsökning inom de närmsta tjugo åren. För att kunna bistå med god vård på lika villkor för hela befolkningen måste den svenska sjukvården anpassas efter det mångkulturella samhälle vi lever i. Syfte: Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att belysa svårigheter som kan påverka mötet mellan svensk vårdpersonal och personer med invandrarbakgrund. Metod: Litteraturstudien bygger på sju vetenskapliga artiklar, alla med kvalitativ forskningsansats. Studien analyserades utifrån Malterud (1996).

The proponents for conscience wants to get a clause that will allow the health professionals to due. scruples waive certain duties. Swedens decision makers has despite pressure from the Christian De-mocrats and the Sweden Democrats decided not to implement freedom of conscience in health care. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether Sweden has the obligation to provide for freedom of conscience in health care. Furthermore, it must be examined, whose rights according to the law will go first, health professionals right to freedom of conscience or the patient right to equal treat-ment.

Sammanfattning Bristen på omvårdnadsforskning gällande anorexia nervosa är stor, det är därför viktigt att denna sjukdom uppmärksammas mer. Studiens syfte har varit att belysa hur kvinnor med anorexia nervosa beskriver livskvalitet under sjukdomstiden. Studien har genomförts som en litteraturstudie där resultatet bygger på tre skönlitterära böcker som kvinnorna själva skrivit. Som teoretisk referensram har Lawtons definition på livskvalitet används då denna definition stämmer överens med författarnas syn på begreppet livskvalitet. Resultatet uppmärksammade följande kategorier som viktiga för kvinnornas livskvalitet; längtan efter närhet, den dyrbara fritiden, störd autonomi och brist på empati, kamp om renhet, omgivningens brist på förståelse, flykt från verkligheten, trygghet genom sjukdomen, samt sjukdomsinsikt.

Äldre personer utgör en stor del av befolkningen och åldersrelaterade sjukdomar ökar i takt med att den äldre befolkningen ökar. I Sverige finns det 2,3 miljoner människor som är över sextio år varav 140 000 har en demensdiagnos. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka om och hur sällskapsdjur kan påverka äldre personer med eller utan demenssjukdom. Genom att följa Goodmans sju steg gjordes en systematisk litteraturstudie. Litteratursökningen skedde i PubMed CINAHL och PsycINFO där 11 vetenskapliga kvantitativa artiklar inkluderades.

I dagens samhälle är bröstcancer en folksjukdom och allt fler yngre kvinnor får diagnosen. Kvinnor reagerar känslomässigt starkt när sjukdomen hotar deras liv. Det är därför naturligt att kvinnan vid diagnosbeskedet kommer in i en chockfas vilket kan göra att viktig information om cancern blockeras. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa yngre kvinnors psykiska påverkan vid diagnosen bröstcancer. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie där resultatet var baserad på åtta kvalitativa artiklar vars innehåll granskades, tolkades och analyserades.
