As a leisure time pedagogue I find it hard to have an insight into what children are playing, and how they play when it comes to free play. My experience is that in some free play, conflicts arise, which reveal hierarchies and power structures containing violations, whereas other occasions of free play suddenly come to an end as the pedagogue interferes. In this essay I investigate my responsibility as a leisure time pedagogue during children´s free play, based on two differing play situations. I also investigate the play as a phenomenon by looking into previous research on children?s play and development Psychology.

This paper is intended to provide a picture of which associations water can wake in the human mind from the perspectives of garden history as well as from that of environmental Psychology. I hope to paint a fairly broad picture of our perception of water that can serve as a basis for discussion and as a starting point for different forms of design work in landscape architecture. The historical perspective emphasizes the importance of water as a condition for the emergence of gardens and in a wider perspective the importance of water in early cultures. Also, I describe a picture of how water has been used throughout the history of gardens from early Egypt to the baroque era. The garden history analyzed from an art historical perspective gives a picture of human associations to water, and the history behind these associations is presented. As a compliment to the art history approach, I have chosen to highlight our associations with water from the perspectives of environmental Psychology and evolutionary science.

I denna uppsats undersöks hur psykologens yrkesroll formas och utformas på vårdcentral. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem psykologer på vårdcentral, deras verksamhetschefer samt en yrkesutvecklingskoordinator för psykologer inom primärvården. Med utgångspunkt i grounded theory har resultatet analyserats i termer av primärvårdspsykologi, professionell identitet och professionssociologi. Resultatet lyfter fram psykologernas bild av sin yrkesroll, deras upplevelse av relationer till andra i organisationen och till gränsfrågor. Slutsatsen är att psykologens yrkesroll på vårdcentralen befinner sig i jurisdiktionens gränsområde och innebär ett aktivt identitetsarbete, en komplex och dynamisk process i spänningsfältet mellan professionella identitetsideal och organisatorisk reglering..

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats var att uppmärksamma och beskriva den relation som finns mellan aktiva hundägare och deras hundar. Fokus för undersökningen var den aktiva hundägarens relation till sin hund utifrån hundägarens behovstillfredsställelse. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med tio kvinnliga hundägare som är aktiva med sina hundar inom Svenska Brukshundklubben. Resultaten visar att det hos de undersökta hundägarna finns ett antal olika psykologiska behov som blir tillfredsställda genom deras hundägande. En del behov tillfredsställs genom den relation de har till sin hund.

In the paper three women with vulvar vestibulitis (long-term pain condition during sexual intercourse) were interviewed to find which conceptions the women experience exist about vestibulitis and how the women they self feel about the condition. Furthermore it was examined if and how the construction of vulvar vestibulitis affects the identity of the women. The method used was half-structured interviews with interview guide. Foucault's discourse analysis was used to analyse the interviews. Several constructions of vestibulitis were revealed from the interviews.

Does a person´s self esteem contribute in the process of creating false memories? Previous studies show that mood is related to false memories as well as to self esteem. This led to the focus of this study, to examine the relationship between false memory and self esteem. The question is examined by comparing the amount of false memories produced in the Deese-Roediger-McDermott (DRM) procedure with people´s scores on Rosenberg´s self-esteem scale. 59 people participated in a test with three different elements, a self esteem test and a memory test with both recollection and free recall.

From an Evolutionary Psychology point of view focusing on Attachment theory will this essay describe how adopted adults think about their roots. To find an answer to this purpose a several miner questions has been asked: Are their any earlier research according to Evolutionary Psychology about internationally adopted? Is it possible to understand the creation of the identity in relation to the Attachment theory? In what way do the adoptees think that their youth has effected their situation of life? And finally, is there any specific time when the adoptees have had even more thoughts about their roots?We have tried to find the answer on these questions through a qualitative study. Questions have been asked to eight internationally adopted adults, in age between 24-33 years.The result from the study makes it even that adopted individuals thoughts about their roots get incensed in some specific periods in life. One period is adolescence, another is parenthood.

Föreliggande arbete utfördes i Helsingborg. Forskningsansatsen var en kartläggning av vården hos målgruppen personer med diagnosen allvarlig psykisk störning dömda till rättspsykiatrisk vård. Syftet med studien var att undersöka och beskriva patienternas och personalens syn på vårdkvaliteten vid en rättspsykiatrisk öppenvårdsmottagning genom att utgå från patienternas uppfattning. Sammanlagt 26 semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med båda grupperna samt fem intervjuer med personal inom socialförvaltningen. Resultaten visar på god samstämmighet och höga skattningar av rättspsykiatrisk personal och patienter där personalen genomsnittligen skattat något högre än patienterna.

This thesis examines the boundary-work between the discipline of Psychology on one side and religion and spirituality on the other. In Sweden, a country viewed as one of the most secular in the world and which has a rising interest in the neo-spiritual, this boundary-work is under-researched within the history of ideas. The research question for this thesis concerns how the contemporary dominant discourses in Psykologtidningen between 2010-2024 relate to the historical boundary-work that has taken place within the discipline. In this study the boundary-work will be examined through a combination of digital text analysis and discourse analysis. The analysis shows that terms such as mindfulness and soul have gone through a decoupling process: meaning that the terms are secularized and modernized to fit within the truth-narrative and the leading discourse of Psychology. This discourse falls under a larger regime of truth where secular thought is seen as the main worldview which is compatible with the scientific ideal.

The purpose with this study is to inquire how a number of active preschool teachers use music in their daily work with children. It also looks at the meaning they think music can have to the whole group of children, especially in terms of solidarity and interaction in the group. In order to study this I chose to use questionnaires as the method. These questionnaires consisted of open questions to enable longer answers from de participants in an effort to hear their thoughts and get their point of view. The result of this study shows that all of the participants seem to have good experiences from musical activities with the preschool children.

This essay is about personal assistance for persons with considerable intellectual disabilities.The purpose with the study is: to examine personal assistance for individuals, who can`t speakfor themselves, to examine how the individuals can determine and get influence into theirassistance and how they can get help with it, to examine the role of an representative inrelation to the serviceuser´s assistance and examine if there are factors of gender in theinterviews.The chosen method is qualitative interviews.The interviews has been analysed through earlier research about personal assistance andtheoretical perspectives like: influence, integration and citizenship and discussed throughperspectives of social Psychology.The main conclusions are: the influence the serviceusers can have is through persons whoknow them very well, the role of the representatives are indistinct, the serviceusers can´tdetermine their assistance themselves and need help with it from relatives, representatives,personal assistants and managers, the persons who know the serviceuser intimately are best totransform the needs to assistance. The factors of gender, are that there are more men aspersonal assistants than in the care of elderly, and the representatives are mostly men. Thepersonal assistants appreciates the time they have for the serviceuser, the work can be lonelyand demanding..

In this thesis I investigate aesthetic preference for picture books among children aged 3?6 as well as criteria for preference among parents. Through my design project: illustration of a picture book, I aim to put my research on preference in the context of illustration and design. By using the design project as an applied method for research I have sought to answer how one as an illustrator can apply knowledge regarding preferences of the target groups when illustrating for picture books. I have primarily based my research within the field of cognitive developmental Psychology, with primary focus on stage theory, and the field of literature.

Studien har undersökt gradadverbs effekt för emotion och minneslagring vid läsning och lyssning. Undersökningen har vidare sökt svara på huruvida verbala emotionella uttryck har någon effekt för emotion och minneslagring. Deltagarna har lyssnat till- och läst berättelser och därefter skattat sin egen grad av emotionell beröring. Deltagarna har också svarat på detaljfrågor efter varje berättelse i syfte att studera och möjligen bekräfta sambandet mellan emotioner och minneslagring. Antal deltagare (N=50) var fördelat på 15 män i åldern 27-67 (M=43.5) och 35 kvinnor i åldern 17-57 (M=38.0).

Denna studie undersökte den egalitära normens inverkan på vita personers korrigering av sina fördomar, mot den egna etniska gruppen samt andra etniska grupper. Korrigeringen studerades genom manipulation, då deltagarna dels uppmanades att fokusera på en in- eller utgrupp samt tänka på hur stereotyper påverkar våra bedömningar av andra människor. I undersökningen deltog 108 vita män och kvinnor. Deltagarna tilldelades en enkät med två fördomstester, där deltagarna fick se foton av personer med olika kön och etnicitet, för att sedan skatta deras personlighetsegenskaper. Hypoteserna att vita personer värderar den vita ingruppen lägre och andra etniska utgrupper högre, när de påminns om egalitetsnormen, kunde inte bekräftas i denna studie.
