Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer diseases among women worldwide. Breast cancer brings fear into many womens? life. It is a threat against life, but also to the psychological health, self-esteem and the female identity. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe newly breast cancer patient?s perception of information provided by healthcare personnel.

This essay describes how theatre can be a tool in social work. The essay evaluates the Swed-ish KRAFT-project, a course for unemployed people with the goal to make them grow as in-dividuals by using drama exercises and performing a theatre play in front of an audience. The essay is a quantitative secondary study of the questionnaire used in the KRAFT-project. Through analysing the questionnaire the participants answered this essay tries to explain the results from a social psychological perspective. The essay also discusses how the participants? self-concept and self-esteem could have been affected by the KRAFT-project.

In this diploma work we present the results from a study of how adult immigrants utilise the services provided by the public library in Biskopsgården, Gothenburg. A survey encompassing 51 library visitors of foreign origin and an interview with two librarians at the library were performed.The results from the survey show that the majority of the informants were male students inages from 26 to 45 years and that they had been living in Sweden for a maximum of five years. 73% of the informants used the library to borrow literature in Swedish, 53% to read newspapers and periodicals in their native language, 43% to borrow literature in their native language and 43% to read newspapers and periodicals in Swedish.These results were compared with two other related studies with which partial correspondencewas found. A research review shedding light over organizational cultureand its affect on knowledge sharing. The purpose of thereview was to give an overview of the current researchmeanwhile answering the research questions how and whyorganizational culture influences knowledge sharing.Through careful selection of articles, from Journal ofKnowledge Management, a review of the material led toareas of emphasis being identified: motivation, trust,organizational structure, management, communication andrewards. For each area of emphasis the results from thechosen articles were presented and analyzed, leading toconclusions that the how and why of organizational culture?sinfluence is due to mainly individual motivational factorsamongst staff. This study has a social - psychological perspective and the purpose is to study people?s know-how of faith and why they seek religion in today´s secularized society.

People in Sweden have more and more dogs in their care, and several of these dogs are kept in kennels in back yards for various reasons. According to Swedish animal welfare legislations the need for social contact for dogs has to be met. However, there are few details presented on how to meet the need and when it can be considered satisfied. Does the dog need human contact to fulfill the need, or is the company of other dogs enough? This study aims to specify what can be acceptable when it comes to fulfilling dogs? social needs in accordance with the Swedish animal welfare legislation.

Within the subject of retouching there is an ongoing debate about whether fashion retailers should retouch their ads or not. There has been a large amount of criticism to the communication of stereotyped beauty ideals that is used by companies in their marketing. The stereotyped ideals also contribute to negative psychological effects among people. As a response to the criticism, or as a way to differentiate one-self from competitors, retailers are starting to use unretouched models in their advertising. How this affects the consumer's perception of CSR along with the attitudes and behaviors is still unknown.

Fyra analysander intervjuades om deras upplevelser av den psykoanalytiska situationen. Materialet analyserades med hjälp av EPP (empirical phenomenological psychologial) -metoden. Resultatet beskriver fenomenets meningsstruktur som en helhet och visar på den psykoanalytiska situationens generella kännetecken: den psykoanalytiska situationen som något svårfångat, som ett upprepat omprövande, som ett arbete, den präglas av konflikter och motstånd, en upplösning av tid och rum, ett möte med analytikern, ett rum för självutforskande och avslutningsvis, identitetsskapande självreflektion. Resultatet visar att upplevelsen av den psykoanalytiska situationen är något upplösande som bryter med den vanliga livsvärldsupplevelsen. Den är något irrationellt svårfångat.

The aim with this study was to find out how young people at age 16-19 years in Kalmar, Sweden use and interact through Facebook. The questions in our questionnaire were based on three themes, these are; friendship relations on Facebook, what influence Facebook has on young people and how they choose to present themselves on Facebook. The theory that was applied on this study is of social-psychological kind. We chose the theory because we figured it would be suitable to further explain and dispute the aim of the study. The result shows that many different variables can matter in a study like this. We chose to look at a few, such as for example sex and age and we found out that there is a great difference between the way girls and boys use Facebook and how they choose to present themselves in this social media.  Betydelsen av mediekonsumtion innehållande ideal/utseendefokus och olika psykologiska mekanismer för kroppsuppfattning studerades genom en enkätundersökning. Urvalet bestod av 331 svenska unga kvinnor och män. För kvinnor fanns ett svagt positivt samband mellan mediekonsumtion och positiv kroppsuppfattning. BMI var en tredjevariabel alternativt en mediator i detta samband. Selektiv exponeringsteori föreslås som en förklaringsmodell för att förstå dessa resultat.

This study is based on 26 essays about A Good Book, written by as many participants inSwedish classes in secondary education for adults. The object is to analyse the students'views on fiction and reading: What books they prefer, but also why and how they read.Objectivity and subjectivity in literary criticism is also discussed.Most favoured author both among men and women is Stephen King. The majority of thebooks mentioned are translated from English. The women also read historical and psychological novels while the men prefer fantasy. The question whether a book is goodor not is in the students' opinion only a matter of taste.

Studien syftar till att leda till en bättre förståelse för utsattas erfarenheter av mobbning och att öka kunskapen om vad som kan göras för att motverka mobbning samt hur de utsatta kan hjälpas och stöttas. I studien har fyra kvinnor och fyra män deltagit, som alla har upplevt mobbning under skolgången, men som inte längre är utsatta. Metoden som använts är en innehålls analys. Resultatet av intervjuerna tyder på att det upplevda stödet från skola och hem inte var tillräckligt. Att mobbningen pågick under en längre period utan ingripande från vuxna i omgivningen.

Bakgrund: Etisk stress innebär att uppleva stress som är relaterad till etiska utmaningar. Inom geriatrisk vård finns även patienter som vårdas i livets slutskede i behov av palliativ vård. Palliativ vård är ett begrepp som präglas av en helhetssyn på människan. Sjuksköterskorna i den geriatriska vården möter etiska utmaningar, då de bör ta hänsyn till ett helhetssyn samtidigt som det finns varierande typ av patienter och varierande uppgifter som alla kräver sjuksköterskans närvaro, vilket kan leda till upplevelser av etisk stress.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av etisk stress vid vård av patienter i livets slutskede på en geriatrisk vårdavdelning.Metod: En kvalitativ metod har använts. Data samlades in genom enskilda intervjuer med nio sjuksköterskor verksamma på en geriatrisk vårdavdelning.
