The aim of this report was to investigate the economy of passive houses. The work was focused on economy in total and on the economy of different components such as windows, insulation, heat exchanger and the air tightness of the climate shell. No attention was paid on the comfort factor or to the impacts on the environment.Two houses, aspiring to be passive were chosen; A big one and a small one. Hence, comparisons considering the size of the building have been possible to do as well.The comparisons were made by calculating ?break even? between two concepts; passive and BBR- concept.

This master thesis covers the seasonal planning of a small scale hydropower system. The system in this study is owned and operated by Mälarenergi Vattenkraft AB. The total system consists of 4 different main rivers with 24 hydropower stations and several dams. The total installed power in the system is 43.75 MW. Most of the hydropower stations are regarded as small scale hydropower stations and thus entitled to green certificates.In this report the issue of planning is formulated as an optimization problem.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur IT-baserad lärmiljö påverkar elevers lärande i matematik och fysik. Kvantitativa undersökningsmetoder i form av enkäter och observationer användes för att besvara syftet utifrån vår, för denna rapport, uppställda definition av lärande. Respondenter var gymnasieelever i årskurs 1-3 på ett naturvetenskapligt program och deras matematik- och fysiklärare. Resultatet visade att eleverna i stor utsträckning tyckte att lärandet var oförändrat. Av de elever som inte tyckte oförändrat ansåg nästan samtliga att påverkan var positiv.

In my paper I have examined the United Nations role in the democratization of Kosovo. In order to complete this purpose I have asked two questions? How has the UN contributed to the democratization of Kosovo that has taken place so far?? What advantages and/or disadvantages has the UN presence in Kosovo had from a democratic perspective?The method I have used in my paper is a qualitative one, and more specified a qualitative text analysis. This means that I have examined a rather small number of sources, but in return I have analyzed these sources very carefully. In addition to the choice of a qualitative method I have used Robert A.

I USA har ett flertal studier gjorts för att se hur skolkvalité kan påverka huspriser. Många av dessa studier pekar på att det finns ett relativt starkt, positivt samband mellan dessa variabler i USA. I denna uppsats har jag studerat hur olika egenskaper påverkar huspriserna i Uppsala kommun. Jag har fokuserat på att studera om, och i så fall hur, olika skolkvaliteter på högstadieskolor kan påverka huspriserna i det tillhörande skoldistriktet. Detta har jag gjort med hjälp av den hedoniska prismodellen och ett antal multipla regressioner.

Silviculture in young stands in Sweden is below the mark concerning what has to be done in the forest, and it is time to solve the problem. The problem will not be solved only by the private forest owners, professional help is needed. Skogsägarna Mellanskog is one of four forest unions in Sweden who wants to play a role and take responsibility for forestry in the middle of Sweden. This academic essay is based on a market survey sent to 350 forest owners in the Örebro district. 186 of them answered the questions, giving a response frequence of 53 percentage. The purpose of the essay is to find the determining factors which will make a forest owner to find a collaborator when planning and carrying out the silviculture measures in young stands. The result of the survey shows that the forest owners are anxious about the price and the costs. The costs have a severe effect if the silviculture measures in young stands will be carried out or not.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the thoughts and opinions of a selected group of people regarding the terrorist attack that occurred in Stockholm 12/11-2010. This study has been conducted through the method of focus group interview. The study was methodologically and theoretically inspired by Grounded Theory, which simply means that the participants' opinions have formed the theory of the study. As a result of the study, we can see that the main focus of the discussion held by the participants was through a we and them thinking-perspective. Furthermore, the study reveals that the participants tried to include who we (muslims) are, and to exclude who they (non muslims) are, while arguing in the discussion. Another definition is the one of here and there, where the participants defined terrorism and what causes it. Finally, media's role was discussed in relation to the creation of the medie-muslim. To explain the participants' perceptive, part of Appadurai?s Fear of small numbers and part of Brune?s Dark magic in the white media was used..

China is considered as one of the world?s fastest growing economies and the future of China looks promising. Even though the Chinese market attracts many new foreign companies to enter the market there are entry barriers which companies may encounter as obstacles, which will aggravate the market entry in China. As a result companies loose business opportunities and therefore it is of great importance for Swedish companies, which are planning a Chinese market entry, to identify which entry barriers that are considered to be the most difficult obstacles to overcome.The purpose of the thesis is to examine which entry barriers that are generally considered to be the most difficult obstacles for Swedish companies to overcome when entering Chinese markets and to rank the five most difficult entry barriers to overcome.Information about these entry barriers have been gathered from Swedish companies, which have carried out successful market entries in the Chinese markets, through an e-mail questionnaire.The result generally shows that the most difficult entry barriers to overcome in China were: bureaucracy, property laws, language, cultural differences and difficulties finding local partners. The ranking of the entry barriers? result shows that bureaucracy is the most difficult obstacle to overcome, followed by cultural differences, language, relations and access to distribution channels.We conclude that companies experience different difficulties overcoming these entry barriers, which depends on the companies? size, years in China, markets and if the entry barriers were considered controllable or uncontrollable.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera företaget ÅF:s employer branding-arbete, närmare bestämt samverkan mellan ledningen, HR-avdelningen och marknadsavdelningen.Uppsatsen är av kvalitativ fallstudiekaraktär ochämnar utveckla teori genom en kombination av en deduktiv och induktiv undersökningsansats. Insamlad data är baserad på intervjuer medrepresentanter på ÅF.Sammanfattningsvis har vi kommit fram till att ÅF:s samverkan inom employer branding-arbetet i stort överensstämmer med den teoretiska modell som presenteras. Det finns en huvudsakligen god samordning av ledningens, HR- och marknadsavdelningens samt employer brandmanagers aktiviteter som syftar till att stärka arbetsgivarvarumärket. Dock finner vi en diskrepans mellan ÅF:s och litteraturens definition av begreppet samt en allt för stor fokus på de externa aktiviteterna som en följd av employer brand managers starka band till marknadsavdelningen..

Den här undersökningen handlar om i vilken mån dagstidningarna kan fortsätta att göra anspråk på att utgöra tredje statsmakten. Den tredje statsmakten utgörs av journalistiken i medierna som ska bevaka den första statsmakten regeringen och den andra, riksdagen. Jag har valt att undersöka hur kommun- och landstingsjournalistiken samt den undersökande journalistiken, prioriteras på tidningarna. Alltså motsvarigheten till regering och riksdag på lokal nivå. 21 ansvariga utgivare vid den största tidningen i respektive län/region har fått möjlighet att svara på en enkät, svarsfrekvensen blev 66,6 procent.

Det här examensarbetet handlar om hur tre lärare uppfattar ett problembarn och hur de sedan väljer att bemöta och arbeta med dem. Syftet har varit att försöka hitta några metoder för hur man som lärare kan bemöta dessa barn och se vad man som lärare behöver kunna. Det har jag gjort genom att läsa litteratur som förklarar skolans och gruppens konstellation vilket jag i diskussionen satt i samband med lärarnas definition av problembarn och hur de väljer att jobba med dem. Min tyngdpunkt i undersökningen ligger i att se vad som gör att en elev blir ett problembarn och se hur man kan motverka att eleven blir eller förblir det. Within psychodynamic therapy the concept of countertransference is considered as valuable to understand the therapy process. Much of the research has focused on countertransference as dependent to therapy outcome (Hayes, Gelso & Hummel, 2011) and less of the research has been dedicated to trainees view on the concept. The object off this study was to examine how trainees define, identify and use countertransference. The study takes a qualitative approach and phenomenological perception of knowledge. Eight trainees has been interviewed and the interviews has been analysed with thematic analysis.

During the summer of 2007 I was employed by Högestad Christinehofs Förvaltning AB. My main task was to make an inventory of giant trees at the estate. Högestad and Christinehof,which with their total possession of 13 000 ha of land is the biggest estate in Scania. A giant tree is a tree with a diameter in breast height more then 1 meter. Trees of these dimensions are registered by Swedish authorities. Landowners with a giant tree on their property can receive a subsidy for cutting trees that are in competition with the giant tree.(Levenskog, 2007) Giant trees are important for biodiversity in the landscape and there are important habitats for different insects, birds, bats, lichens and funguses.

I inledningen av våra uppsatsstudier fann vi ingen tydlig definition av värdskap.Engelskans hospitality är alltför vid för att kunna förklara värdskapets betydelse inom turismbranschen.Vi har i vår uppsats belyst samt försökt förklara: Vad är värdskap? Vidare ville vi också se eventuella kulturella skiljaktigheters påverkan på värdskap. Vårt forskningsbidrag är därför en värdskapsmodell för att tydliggöra ämnet. Modellen beskriver rumsliga dimensioners påverkan på värdskap. Vi har också valt att genomföra kvalitativa intervjuer, dels med forskare och dels med utövare inom resebranschen, för att få en mer djupgående förståelse för om och hur det arbetas med värdskap i praktiken..

Background: Our daily lives and personal interactions are increasingly featuring social media and social networks in particular. Topics regarding social media, its impact on society at large ? both on corporate as well as individual behavior ? has been the focus of many research papers. Personal use of social networks are regularly being mapped out by researchers aiming at clarifying concepts such as engagement, trust and interactivity, and mapped by companies seeking to maximize return on investment concerning their marketing efforts. The aim of our study is (i) to map how companies and/or organizations operating on the Swedish market use their company?s pages on the social media as a way of communicating with their followers and audience, as well as (ii) identifying whether ?Real-Time Marketing?, in our own definition, is used or not.Methods: The research methods used included both quantitative and qualitative content analysis.
