Vikarien är en person som befinner sig i den dagliga verksamheten inom skolan. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa synen på vikarien utifrån begreppen profession och kompetens. Undersökningen baseras på verksamma lärare samt personer med erfarenhet av vikariat. De frågor som arbetet utgår ifrån är följande; Hur ser lärare på vikarien utifrån begreppen behörighet och kompetens? Hur ser vikarien på sin roll och kunskap? För att finna svar på dessa frågor har metoden baserats på kvalitativa intervjuer.

Syfte: Debatten kring revisorers oberoende har pågått länge. Idag är frågan om revisorers oberoende en av de viktigaste frågorna inom redovisning vilket delvis beror på de företagsskandaler som inträffat under senare år. Tidigare studier visar att sociala identifikationer kan utvecklas vid nära relationer vilket både kan ha en positiv och en negativ påverkan på revisorers oberoende. För att utvidga tidigare studier har vi lagt till personlig identifikation för att studera detta på individnivå. Vi har även valt att lägga till en faktor, det karismatiska ledarskapet, för att undersöka om detta påverkar samtliga identifikationer.

The dental profession has an important role in detecting oral cancer. Considering that dental hygienists probably will have a greater responsibility in the future when it comes to examinations, knowledge of oral cancer will be important for this profession. The aim of this study was to examine the dental hygienists knowledge of Oral Cancer in the county of Blekinge, Kalmar and Kronoberg, as well as their experiences in detecting oral cancer.

Syftet med studien är att förstå revisorers attityder och resonemang kring marknadsföringen av revisionstjänster.Studien utgår ifrån en abduktiv ansats och kvalitativa metoder i form av personliga intervjuer har genomförts.Studiens teoretiska referensram innefattar teorier och centrala begrepp utifrån vetenskapliga artiklar. Begrepp som behandlas är profession, attityder och revisorers användning av marknadsföring.Det empiriska materialet är insamlat genom åtta intervjuer med revisorer runt om i Skåne. Huvudsakligen har attityder och resonemang kring marknadsföring, förändring av marknadsföring, marknadsföringsmetoder och kundrelationer jämförts och analyserats.Studiens empiriska analys visade att respondenterna refererar olika till begreppet marknadsföring, vilket kan anses vara en anledning till de positiva respektive neutrala attityderna. Dessutom iakttogs skilda attityder gentemot marknadsföring beroende på revisionsbyråns storlek. Respondenter från större byråer hade mer positiva attityder i förhållande till respondenter från små byråer..

Purpose: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explain how advancement factors affect men and woman to advance in their careers in the accounting profession.                                Methodology: A positivist approaches and a deductive approach, with a quantitative method was used to obtain the results of the analysis. Theoretical perspective: The theory describes the career stages, audit assistant, approved auditor, registered auditor, manager and partner. Their responsibilities and what it takes to get there is explained. Theory section also describes the different advancement factors from a gender perspective. Empirical: The empirical material is based on a survey conducted in respondents who represent the five career stages. The collected data is then analyzed using statistical tests. Conclusion: The analysis shows that the identified career advancement factors that limit and stimulates the male and female auditors? career ladder.

Den medicinska vetenskapen och teknologin utvecklas hela tiden med syfte att förlänga livet. Beslut om bibehållen eller avslutad livsuppehållande behandling för kritiskt sjuka patienter blir en alltmer komplex och svår fråga. Sjuksköterskan har en central position inom vården att bistå och företräda patienten. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelse vid ställningstagande till bibehållen eller avslutad livsuppehållande behandling. Resultatet visade att sjuksköterskor upplevde brist på respekt från läkare inför sin profession, bristande kommunikation med läkare inför beslut, konflikter inom och mellan de olika yrkeskategorierna angående beslut, samt frustration då sjuksköterskan inte kan företräda patienten enligt sina egna värderingar.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the identity, competences and professional development of corporate librarians. I have done an empirical study based on semi structured interviews with 11 information professionals who were working at Astra Zeneca at the time of the re-organizations of the company in 2009 which ultimately led to the closing of the libraries. I have also examined the views on competences and professional development of librarians in general, both in Sweden and in Denmark. I have used Thomas Brante?s theories on profession types as well as Anders Ørom?s theories on librarian identities as my theoretical framework.

In this essay, I explore the history of the ideas that have shaped the profession of landscape architecture, in a Swedish context. To this purpose, I have sampled the professional debate on landscape architecture at four points in time. These are the years around 1890, 1930, 1970 and 2010. Drawing on G N Brandt (1920), I make the distinction between two arguably crucial approaches, i . e., naturalism and formalism. By identifying these perspectives, and by dividing the arguments of each time period according to this classification, I am able to compare the course of the debate over time. I take on the task through hermeneutics.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to identify discourses within the school library field and to analyse which professional identities the discourses result in for school librarians. The empirical data consist of 71 articles from Swedish journals concerning school libraries and school librarians, between the years 2000-2003. The theory and method used is a discourse analysis which is inspired by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. This form of discourse analysis was chosen since it was useful when identity was the focus of study. The analysis is accomplished in three steps.

This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.

Consultancy as a profession has always been a debated topic and has constantly been surrounded with a kind of secrecy. People have a hard time defining what consultants actually do and how they do it. It seems that they are simply waving their magic wands, performing wonders. We have therefore decided that the purpose of this study is to unveil the secrecy around the profession. By conducting interviews and analysing literature we have examined recruitment processes in three different consulting industries and their wanted personal characteristics.

Syftet med undersökningen är att diskutera synen på läraryrkets status, genom att ta reda på vilka faktorer som kan påverka ett yrkes status. För att kunna analysera den empiri som samlades in kommer Gunnel Colnerud och Kjell Granströms teorier om ett professionellt yrke att diskuteras. Ulfsdotter Erikssons avhandlig om bland annat yrkesstatus och Gerhard Arfwedsons teorier om lärarlöner och kvinnodominans inom läraryrket kommer också att behandlas. Andy Hargreaves teorier används för att diskutera de statusskillnader som redan i skolan präglar eleverna och de fungerar även som ett komplement till Arfwedsons teorier. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av en kvantitativ metod, i form av enkäter.

A two-factor design of experiments done on GGAB for the identification of two selected factors influence on the length of the scattering of heat exchanger gaskets. The work consists of four parts: study, choice of survey method, the performance of investigation and analysis of the results. Chosen factors on the study are considered to be the most effecting of the length distribution of seals during the production of GGAB.
